The Society of Justice: A Super Hero Roleplay

[CounterAttack]

Katie watched Jason walk away for a few seconds, then turned and made her way down to the showers in the gym. She avoided the others, not sure if she wanted to hear what they were talking about. Singing a few lines of a song she couldn't remember the name of, she crossed the gym and entered the showers. She picked a cubicle at random, stepped out of her dress and started the shower.

About ten minutes later Katie stepped out, dried herself off and redressed. She placed her towel around her neck to catch any water that might drop from her hair, and made her way back up to the lounge.

"Your welcome Jason. Hey do you want to play a game of CTF this afternoon for some training," Aaron asked grabbing another roll.

 

[Pm0n3y]

"Ummm...what's CTF?" He replied sheepishly.

Jason found himself shocked at the fact the Aaron made the food.

"How can a spoiled rich kid like Aaron be such a good cook?" He wondered as he took a sip of the coffee.

 

[Souldemon8]

"Capture the flag, a traditional outdoor sport where two teams each have a flag and the objective is to capture the other team's flag, located at the team's "base", and bring it safely back to their own base. It's fun specially with a big enough field. I'm shocked you've never heard about it." Aaron grabbed a napkin and started to take some notes.

"Ohhhhh, that. I've heard of it, just never referred to it as just CTF. But, fuck yeah, I'll play!" Jason said happily.

"I haven't played it in a while, it'll be good to play again." He added, a little calmer this time.

 

[Souldemon8]

"Yeah Yeah but we're going to need some teams," Aaron continued to scribble on the napkin. We need to decide who's on who's team and where we will play."

 

[CounterAttack]

"I'll join the game. I'm fine with being on either team," Katie said, joining the conversation. She crossed to the kitchen bench, "stole" a croissant and started eating it while she listened to the others.

"Ditto for me." Jason added before turning to Katie.

"So...what did you want to talk about?" He asked.

 

[CounterAttack]

"Oh, right..." Katie looked around nervously; there were too many people around for her to freely say what she wanted to. "Um, I wanted to talk about... well, us," she said, lowering her voice a little. "But we'll talk later, once we can get some time alone. Is that okay with you?" She looked at Jason, unsure of what else she should say.

Tommy's mouth was stuff with various pastries but he was still able to grab a napkin and write the words "COUNT ME IN!" on it in very large letters.

Aaron grabbed the note Tommy was holding and looked it over and continued to write on his napkin.

"I'll take Tommy on my team," Aaron stated still not looking up.

Richard walked into the room and grabbed a bagel before buttering it.

"I would play, but I have the feeling with super powers, this game isn't going to be too fair to poor old me." Richard joked as he sat down.

Aaron grabbed another pastry along with another napkin. It took him a minute to notice that Rich had entered the room.

"Hey Rich good to see you. Though it will be great fun as long as your on my team. If your not than well you'll probably lose because I've finally found a way to stop the walking tank of yours," Aaron stated with a straight face without even looking up from his notes.

"Great, but let me say I don't care. Good for you though, now can we move on before this devolves into 'I'll kick your ass. No I'LL kick YOUR ass.'? I'm rather sick of that stupid game already, it gets old to have you constantly picking a fight with me." Richard said blandly from where he sat.

 

[Souldemon8]

"Yeah I learned from our previous encounter that I tend to let my emotions do the talking. Now I'm just going to look at all my fights from here on out logically. I'm just simply informing you that I won't be so easily defeated. So with that I'll just let my actions do the talking."

Aaron poured him a glass of water before returning to his notes.

"Whatever. I again say I don't care. You win, you win, you lose, you lose. It honestly proves nothing either way in my opinion. My victory over you a few days ago means nothing, and a possible loss means nothing. Not to say either one of us couldn't or shouldn't take pride in a well fought victory, just saying it means fuck all in the long run." He reasoned as he ate.

"So who is on who's team?" Aaron asked trying to think of ways to balance the teams.

"I don't really care who's team I'm on...though I will admit that playing a game while people are bashing us doesn't seem like the best idea," Garrus admitted, not in a pleasant mood as he turned off the tv.

"I don't care what team I do end up on, but I would have to agree with Garrus. We should probably focus on a bit of damage control, not on unwinding so much."Richard agreed from where he sat.
