Alister had watched from the doorway as the others conversed with the girl. He had picked up the name "Katie" and that she was part of the Society, but didn't know what else was happening.

Later at the meeting he sat rather rigidly, watching the others, trying to get a feel for the situation. They'd obviously lost somebody very important to them if they'd called a meeting because she had left. He informed Richard that he hadn't even earned a break yet, so of course he'd be staying. He then noticed Jason was sobbing to himself quietly.

Oh boy, this can't be good. At least he looks a bit better than he did a minute ago. Hey, my powers make me pretty good with people, maybe I can help him out a bit.

He walked over and took a seat opposite of Jason and grabbed his attention. It was then he saw the note.

"So," he began, a bit unsure of himself. "you two knew each other... pretty well, huh?"

Simon had been watching as Kaite left, sitting on his favorite spot on the roof for most of the day now. He wasn't exactly sure how he felt with her leaving...she was definitely an asset to the team but her relationship with Jason had put both of them, and the team at risk if something had happened to ether of them.

He shrugged to himself and chalked it up to him being disappointed but not overly much. He knew she'd be back. Eventually...

"I think some of the group deserves a break," Garrus told Richard, finding him in the Lounge. "It's a good idea. I won't be going though, of course. Not really a place to go, and besides if people go we'll need some power houses left," he said with a light laugh, feeling somewhat uncomfortable with the tension in the air.

"But yeah, it's a good idea. If any of you want to go, even for a few days, I say go for it. Just a nice break, we can hold down the fort," he said to everyone.

"Jason I can tell you where she went and I suggest you follow. It will give you some time together without the threat of death and destruction looming over your head. You two can just spend time together and I'll even front cash so it isn't an issue. Take here to her favorite place, buy her a meal at a nice restaurant, meet her family, and enjoy each others company. If you want to go and promise to take the communicator in case of emergencies, I can tell you where she went." Richard said trying to cheer him up.

"Yeah look I'm not going to a stupid play," Garrus replied to Dona, "Never been to one, but also never wanted to go. They all seem pretty....boring. I'd rather watch a movie."

Jason wiped his eyes once more to bring them into focus. With Dona's words and Richard's and Alister's company, Jason began to feel a bit better.

"Me and Katie, we've been going out practically since we've been members of the Society." Jason said to Alister before turning his attention to Richard.

"And thanks Rich, but really, at a time like this, i'm just happy to know that there's people that care about us." He said, rising to his feet.

"But maybe I should get the address anyway. Y'know, just in case." He added, leaning in close to Richard.

"I didn't get her address Jason, I know she went to Horizon. I'm sure you can find the Southe family and meet up with her there." Richard said.

"Okay. First off those bats don't bug me at all since I know they're fucking fake as hell. See you think those mind tricks bug me but they don't. And you know why? It's because my brother has been doing that for years to me, and he is much, much better at it than you are," Garrus told Dona with annoyance.

"Second. Deal with it. Do I have to have reasons to like or dislike something? Can't I just dislike plays because I find them boring? Can I just state my opinion without backlash!?" Garrus yelled at her, his temper suddenly flaring. He took a few deep breaths and calmed down, not wanting to cause a scene.

"Look I'm not going. I'd rather spend those few hours of my life doing something I like."

Alister shook his head. "No thanks, I prefer electronic entertainment. Speaking of which, I might as well get unpacked. Where would my room be anyway?"

"Oh...never mind then...I...kinda already knew she lived in Horizon...but thanks anyway..." Jason awkwardly replied to Richard as tempers rose and fell in the background.

"Geez, does that Dona chick get on everyone's nerves?" Erebus asked.

"Only half of the time. Most of the time you can just drown her out." Jason thought back.

"Hey Ali, most of our rooms are upstairs. I'm sure there should be a empty one for you to crash in." Jason spoke simply to Alister.

"Yea, but for all you knew she was going to hop the first flight to the amazon. The information is still useful, you just already knew it. Though from the fact you asked you wither forgot or weren't sure." Richard replied jokingly.

"I'll go to the theatre. I was never one to turn down a gift or an offer."

"I'm sure I'll like him, and I'm sure I can remain nice enough even if I don't." Richard joked.

"I guess I'll take up that offer as well, if only to remain consistent."

Alister searched around the upper floor, attempting to find an empty room. This place is a lot bigger than my old home, gonna take forever to figure out where everything is.

Finally, with some luck he found a room; furnished, but nobody seemed to be using it. The walls were bare, no books, nothing but a bed and a desk. Deciding that this would suit him well, Alister laid the pack he'd kept hidden in his cloak on the bed. He then removed the cloak, and began to put on a set of everyday clothes over his spandex. You know, he thought. the comics sure make this look easy. I don't even have anywhere inconspicuous to hide this damn cloak. Where do I keep it until an emergency?

After a few minutes of thinking he gave up. He'd been trying to solve that problem for years, and hadn't found a solution yet. He began to unpack his things, wondering to himself how long it'd last before something sent him off around the world again.

Richard looked at the meal that was placed before him before smirking.

"I'm sure you read my mind, but I honestly can't complain." He quipped before digging in.
