[Birras]

Birras keyed his communicator to contact Simon, "This is Ground Control to Major Andrews, I'm ready to science whenever you are," With a click, the communicator went silent. The doctor took a moment to appreciate the testing area. A big box made of a fine copper mesh, a large electromagnet and a table littered with testing materials, including a microwave oven, a nautical compass, several empty syringes and a megaphone.

Tommy looked over his Garrus, Shit, shit, shit, why didn't I write a longer note, I should have given him my whole family tree. Tommy looked ahead, then he looked back again. Garrus was catching up fast, but the Promenade wasn't much further, there was chance he could get to the garage before Garrus passed him. It was going to be neck and neck...

The dream fragmented as the Nightmare and Dona twisted it sending Khrys shuddering into the world of wakefulness with a cry, looking around in confusion for several minutes before she remembered where she was. Seeing the white fur on her hands she hunkered back down and tried to calm her breathing focusing on making it go away within it would stay away.

"I'll go ahead and assume it is Khrystie, since you seem almost like a dog with a new person in the house. While I don't think the doctors would like it, they are under my employ at the moment. I don't see why not, so yea sure, just take it easy will you? I'm not a big fan of anyone walking around with a bullet in their brain after just having collapsed." Richard said from where he sat.

"I'll get you on the communicator when the equipment we need and an anesthesiologist arrive."

 

[Quad08]

Hearing the Doc speak into the communicator, Simon tapped on it

"Roger that Doc. On my way"

And with that he shifted into the Promanade.

"Science wing...science wing..."

Looking around as he walked, Simon eventually found his way through the building into a large cluttered room. Test tubes, sparking machines and tons of files cluttered the room with Birras standing in the middle of it all

"Alright doc, what do you have for me?"

Khrys was pinning her hair back up, fighting with ita bit. She looks at Dona in surprise and says "Wait what?" The words making little sense to her. "My name is Khrystin, nice to meet you."

'I can do it. Come on,' Garrus thought repeatedly finally caught up to Tommy as they zoomed past the front of the Promenade and into the garage.

Garrus cursed that he didn't make it in first, Tommy had just squeezed by. "Fucking station wagon," Garrus grumbled as slowed down his bike and parked it. "You win! You win, I sadly admit defeat. Until the rematch of course," he said, hitting the alarm and walking over to the station wagon.

Khrys stiffens and her voice is flat and cold, "I just don't like Doctors. I am hardly the first one to." She ignores the question about what kind of person instead saying "Why a hero? What else is a freak to do?"

 

[Birras]

"Alright," The Doctor smirked, it had been a while since he'd done any good science, "For the first test, I'll need you to get in that Faraday cage," He pointed to the shining copper box, "And teleport to the red 'X' on the floor," He pointed to two crossed lines of red tape at his feet, "That'll act as our control. I've got an automated timer that'll see how long it takes you. This being a test with no interference, it should take a small fraction of a second."

"Alrighty"

Simon said, walking into the cage. He felt a bit nervous at first but knew that this test would most likely help shed some light on his abilities

"Here it goes"

And with that he shifted from the cage onto the 'X'

 

[Birras]

Birras scribbled something onto a pad of paper, "Excellent, our baseline comparison is .045 seconds, now then, for the next test, I'm going to ask you to stand next to that there electromagnet. It should create a stronger magnetic force than the background force of the Earth's magnetic field. This'll shed some light on my magnetic orientation theory. Put any metallic items, credit cards or anything that may be affected by the magnet on the table," he said as he pulled the switch, "When you're ready, just step up here and teleport to the X again."

Khrys doesn't look happy, sniffing she turns on her heel and stalks away from Dona and her confusing questions thinking 'She must be insane. Maybie she makes the people she talks to feel that way. I wonder how she figured out I don't like Doctors.'

She snorted 'Not like Ive been subtle. I think i need to work out..lets see if I can find the Gym.'

 

[Captainguy42]

Tommy pulled into the garage with his tires squealing and smelling of burnt rubber. Whoo made it! he thought to himself has he hit the horn in celebration. He then got out to rub the victory in Garrus's face.

He began a series of wild gestures and flexes, that would normally be accompinied by obnoxious taunts, but Tommy being silent, went through the motions with the dialogue in his head:



Ahh yaa. who shoulda taken the Ferrari now bee-yatch. Uhn! Swedsih engineering for the win. Don't you step to this with that weak Kawasaki crap!

 

[Quad08]

Taking off his communicator, knives, belt and wallet, Simon walked back over to the magnet. Immeditly he felt some affects. A tingling sensation ran through his muscles. It wasn't painful but it was definitly noticeable.

"Alright doc, here I go again"

And with that, Simon shifted to X again. It took more control then usual, as if there were tiny hooks inside of him that wanted to keep him in place but weren't very strong.

Simon described the sensation to Birras, hoping the doc would begin to formulate some theories soon
