As Aaron made his way to the lounge he noticed Garrus was in control of the T.V.
"Hell no Garrus cough up that remote my shows are on."

"I'll just watch from the side lines. If anything goes down and you guys need back up I'll be right there," Aaron replied truing to some cheesy soap opera.
Tommy lifted his eye-brows at the new knowledge on absinthe, he then heard more foot-steps downstairs and wondered if Garrus might be back. He waved bye to Richard and then went downstairs. He saw Garrus on the couch and tapped him on the shoulder, then he motioned over to the table of food were Tommy's magic devices were still layed out. As Tommy walked over he got on the comm, " Richard, Garrus is here, I'm going to start the explanation, if anyone else wants to learn about these toys come to lounge quickly."
...Lets just imply that Jason and Katie got back to the Promenade, and it took him a long time to answer her.
"Wow, I haven't seen a spread like this in awhile." Jason said, pulling out a seat for Katie near Garrus and Richard before sitting down next to her. After he set himself a plate, he gave Tommy his undivided attention.
"Alright Tom, I'm all ears." He told him, mouth half full with lasagna.
Fair enough.
Once she sat down, Katie quickly took a plate and piled food on it. Ignoring the conversation for a few moments, she focused on the food. The lasagna and garlic bread had particularly strong flavours, reminding her of her mother's cooking.
At one point, Katie accidentally brushed Jason's arm with hers. She smiled at the touch, but blushed a little before turning back to her food.
Tommy began, he was using the communicator even though he prefered writing, but this way he could talk to everyone at once. He decided to start with the things they would use against Leland. He held up one of the amulets, it was shaped like an eye, but on the iris there were runes carved into it.
"This is the Vigilant Eye of Logren. As it senses magical energy it grows hot, this will serve as a first warning device if Leland is trying to suprise you, and there's a good chance he will. You may not be able to tell he is using magic due to the nature of illusions. I have two more amulets just like this one."
He put the eye down and reached for a net, that had several lead weight that also had symbols carved into them.
" This is a mage hunters net, the weights sap the magicians energy and use the energy to strengthen itself, if we have to, this is how we capture him."
Then he put the net down, and picked up an ornate glass bottle, that glowed bright blue from the inside.
" If we need to retreat we use this, it's a bottle of magic lighting, when it's broken it will release a shroud of interference that will stop Claidt from using his powers for a short time, kind of like a magical EMP. But we need to be careful because it also acts like a real EMP. Range is about 20 feet in any direction."
Tommy put the bottle down.

"So what is the overall plan for this? Whose going to be the backup, the backup, speaker?"
Simon spoke up. He was lounging in one of the dining room chairs, a bored look on his face with an empty plate and glass in front of him.

"Alright, I'll move on. I plan on having a three-layered defense, the first is a system of magic-sensitive alarms, which will be placed around the grounds, this will tell us if someone is using magic on the grounds. The next layer will be devices that can neutralize and attack magic users who don't know a disarming word. Finally the last layer will be a barrier around the where we keep sensitive documents and other things, insuring that it can not be breached by magical means. I can get started on some parts with the things I have, but I'll need time to get the rest of the things to finish it." Tommy finished and looked to see if anyone had any questions,
After finishing his food, Jason nodded, approving of Tommy's defense system before going over to pick up the Eye.
"I figure I must need one these things if I'm gonna confront him tomorrow." He said before sitting back down. He took a good long look at the item, feeling the smooth surface of the eye before looking back up at Tommy.
"So, when you meant that this thing'll get hot...did you mean like "burn a hole in my pocket" hot...or "Go off like a loud ass fire alarm" hot?" Jason asked.

"You have anything for nonmagical users? It seems like a bit one sided defense"
Simon asked, shifting over and grabbing some milk before shifting back into his seat
"I mean, I'm sure there are many evil magic users but aren't they outnumbered by evil nonmgic villains?"

"No, there isn't any need, the Promenade is already defended against conventional attacks. I just want to make sure we can keep Claidt from breezing in here like he did the Pentagon."
