*sniff* Only $30 for Borderlands 2, but I'm too broke to buy anything.

Well, hopefully I have a more full bank account for the xmas sales.

Wow, I've spent a bit more than I intended.

First I preordered Hitman: Absolution before the sale started.

Sale purchases:

Dead Island GOTY
RAGE
Max Payne 3
Saints Row: the Third Collection
Borderlands GOTY
all 75% off.
Still waiting to see if Spec Ops: The Line, W40k Space Marine & Splinter Cell: Conviction get even cheaper(75% off).
Batman: Arkham City GOTY is a steal right now, but sadly unavailable in my region, typical...

But the one thing that really annoyed me was that Ghost Recon: Future Soldier, which cost 29.99? the week before the sale, got a price increase to 49.99? the day before the sale started. That's quite an increase. It's more expensive now, even with 33% off, than before: 33.49?. That's just sad...

Of course due to uni and work I only stumbled upon the sales at the last day. But I still managed to score Dishonored and Civ V. I don't think I will make this semester ...

So far I have bought KOTOR 2 and Dawn of War 2. But I cant stop watching the countdown for Civ 5 and Deus Ex: Human Revolution. Must resist buying more games.

got Deus Ex: HR for $5. already had the PS3 version, but want to see what my PC could do with it.
tempted by XCOM, but i'd rather have a physical copy for that much. also, how much better is the PC version of XCOM over PS3 in this case?
also tempted by Civ5, but so many other games, and i still love 4 so much.

Maybe someone could answer this for me. How important is the Gods and Kings expansion for Civ 5? Knowing that will help me make up my mind on the purchase.

Fuck yes, dinner date is on sale for 50% off!

I'm not sure what to buy yet, as I am keeping my wallet close to my chest. Anna is on the flash sale, so I might grab that. I am hoping Torchlight goes on sale for greater than 50% but if not I'll grab that at the end of the sale.

Other titles im keeping my eye on are, Dungeons of Dredmor, Legend of Grimrock, The Witcher and Scratches. They are all super cheap and might pick them all up.
You missed both of The Witchers' cheaper deal. It was one of the first Flash Deals.
Awe, you had to message me that just to make me feel bad didn't you! Oh well, I don't see how Witcher can get much cheaper, right now it is 75% off and it's $2.49. Not really a big deal to me if I missed it 80% off or something.
Would you believe I'm messaging you about the Witcher again? It turns out that Steam decided to not to only further discount both of The Witcher games once. But have done so yet again. [sub]And after I bought The Witcher 2 at £7.99...[/sub] So yea if you didn't get it yet, it's at the cheapest price right now.

Anyone here want only 1 copy of Don't Starve? I don't want to buy it and have that extra copy sitting around doing nothing. I'd like to trade Grimrock and the OMD2 Yeti DLC for it.

Never mind, made the deal somewhere else.

XCOM is presently 50% off on Amazon.com, for PC direct download. Great deal.

EDIT: Ah, it seems the thread I made regarding the sale DID show up after all. Now I'm repeating myself.

Damned Steam and its ability to siphon money from me. I snagged a handful of games last night. One of these days I'll resist a Steam sale.......one of these days. At least I got away under $100 but that's because I pass on Dishonored. I'm sure I'll regret that soon enough.

All I got from Steam was the every-costume-pack for Super Street Fighter 4: Arcade Edition. Last time SF went 75% off, the costume pack only went down 50% I think. This is the first time I've spotted it at 75% off so I snatched it. I play a lot of Street Fighter, so I think it was worth it ^^.

Also did the 5 for $10 deal on GOG. Luckily, there were 5 I was interested in. Got:
To The Moon - Heard this was an amazing story experience.
The Ball - No matter how many times I hear this game is bad or mediocre, I still can't help thinking it looks really neat and I still want to try it.
SpaceChem - Let's find out just how dumb I am :D
Botanicula - Heard it's adorable, and even people who don't like point and clicks loved it.
Unmechanical - I really like indie puzzle platformer type stuff, and I liked the look of it from TB's WTF is video.

Also bought a Vita from Amazon for $179 and a bunch of freebies. Deal of the year, it was. (except for the whole "it's a Vita... no games" argument :D)
-$70 off the WiFi Vita. It's white too, less obvious finger print smudges!
-Assassin's Creed: Liberation physical and Playstation All-Stars digital (both games I want to play, but don't really want to pay for)
-3 months of Playstation Plus, which successfully added onto my current subscription, yay. And from Plus, I get Wipeout, Uncharted and Gravity Rush. All stuff I want to play, especially Gravity Rush, playing that first thing when it arrives tomorrow (got it downloaded to my PS3, ready to transfer).
-4GB Memory Card. Well it's better than paying $250 and not having a memory card.

Anyone want to place bets on when it'll start? :p
I read somewhere that it might start sometime between the 19th and 21st. Don't quote me on that though.

Edit: Confirmed to be Dec. 20th - Jan. 4th. Prepare your wallets

I'm not going to buy that much, since I have very little free time and none of the games on sale interest me that much. That said, I did just pick up Bastion for 3.45 euros in a flash sale. Time to see what the fuss is about, I guess. I've purposefully maintained myself in the dark on this game, and considering how well it was received last year, I think I owe it to myself to play it.

I might pick up some more A+ Indie games if any come on sale (Stuff as major as Limbo, which I already had, and Bastion), since I've never bought as many indie games as I should, and I want to get myself a start into indie gaming with those kind of games. I've heard "Thomas was alone" is really good, but it's not been out for long, so I doubt it's going on sale so soon.

Comment summary:

*Says he's not going to pick anything up*
*Lists a whole bunch of games he might pick up*

STEAM! YOU'RE A WHOLE IN MY WALLET THAT MONEY FALLS OUT OF AND GREAT GAMES FALL INTO!

Edit: By the time I actually got around to posting this the sale was over. I feel magnificently silly now. I guess you can consider this my plans for the winter sale instead.

Got the Max Payne bundle and Deus Ex: Human Revolution for 6,73 euros. Haven`t bought that many games on Steam in such a short time-frame before. Money well spent, i think.
