The Story of your Avatar

What is the story of your Avatar? You know, that little thing above your badges.

I created an account, and decided I wanted to have a faceless head as my avatar. I looked up "mask" and saw this. It was love at first sight.

Not very interesting, but it's my avatar story. What is yours?

EDIT: Okay, so someone virgo-ish suggested this. Make up a story about your avatar. Or don't.

My mask is the mask of empiteness. It needs to fill in the yawning emptiness in its soul, so steals your soul, and you become the next bearer of the mask.

I could do better, but I don't feel like it.

EDIT 2: ok, someone needs to answer this. What the hell is with the ponies? When did that become a meme? What?

A friend sorta made it for me. He took an album cover that happened to have my users shortened name and stuck the clan tags of the clan we were in at the time on it.

A better thread idea would be to create a story about your avatar, like: My avatar, the symbol of Virgo, travels the world defeating bad guys to remind them that Virgo is the greatest sign.

Then after much internet trawling i found something called Nyan Thornberry- i liked it and somebody made it into a gif format.

After a while i tired and got another lovely person to add elton john style glasses because i'm so awsome.

I've used the name Cloud since I first saw my cousin playing FF7. I like the name, though was getting bored of the connection to FF7's Cloud.

My salvation came in the form of my ticket to the GAME ON gallery at ACMI. It had this awesome little pixel-y cloud on it. Its light hearted with a nice shade of sky blue. Perfect!

I scanned it and used it as my avatar for a while, I've just recently redrawn it to remove all the scanner artefacts and add more contrast to the colours. Which reminds me, I need to upload the new version to my escapist profile...

My usual name is Gobla (most famous of Squigs, but with one less 'b'.)

But since not everyone knows who Gobbla is and Gobla sounds much more like Goblin, I went with this most amazing goblin avatar.

Except Gobla was taken when I registered (though it seems to be gone now again...) so I went with this name instead. It's something I was called during my time in South Africa since people couldn't pronounce my real name.

Originally it was Sheik, but i changed it to a Pokemon Sommeliére from the anime...guess even though she was nameless, she looked cute adorable in that tux!

Druss the Legend is a hero embodying virtue, courage, honour, chivalry and strength of character. Druss is the grandson of Bardan the Slayer, a psychotic madman driven insane by the demon residing within his cursed axe, Snaga the Sender. Druss is described as a physically imposing man, immensely strong but also possessing great speed and dexterity. He has a hard, flat face, black hair and a thick, black beard and pale blue eyes. Despite his initial lack of formal combat training, he becomes known as a fearsome warrior who has never been bested in single combat. He wears the armour and weapons of his grandfather, which includes a black leather jerkin with silver steel pauldrons, black leather gauntlets with reinforced steel plates covering the knuckles and forearms, black leather boots and a black pot helmet with a silver axe motif on the brow flanked by small silver skulls. Having died in Legend, Druss reappears in The Swords of Night and Day, both as a spirit wandering in the darkness, and in physical form by possessing his clone. In October 2000 at the World Fantasy Convention in Texas, David Gemmell gave an interview in which he revealed that Druss was based on his father, Bill. I am intrigued. Mind telling me what anime?

OT: I love Doktor Sleepless and the works of Warren Ellis in general. I tried the "Angels are the new UFO's" sign first, but the text became illegibly small after resizing to fit avatar.

As for made up story: It is a sign. It warns people of loose time. Perhaps the sign itself is an artifact of a bygone age or one yet to arrive. I don't really know what kind of story to make about a sign.

I am a big fan of Zelda and i liked dark link, so I decided to have my game name be Darklink82, like blink-182.
eventually i found a picture of the triforce and used paint to make this avatar
