I've tried absinthe and Jamaican rum. Absinthe at 85%ABV and Jamaican rum at a fiendishly 98% ABV. I didn't dare try above a shot of Jamaican rum. Quite rightly so I think.

Some French liquer made from blackcurrants, it was something like 75%. Aside form whiskey or limoncello every now and again, I tend to stick to lower percentage drinks, and just drink more instead. Quantity has a quality all of it's own.

Poteen. Irish illegal potato liquor. The one I tried was 95% ABV, the highest alcoholic drinks can actually go, because the rest is just water retained naturally.

It bared an alarming similarity to being kicked in the head. You have to be careful with that stuff, it'll very easily kill you. I just had one shot and it almost knocked me out cold.
Same here. I only really had a sip. But that was on top of a plethora of other stuff. Beer, sugary alcopop crap, schnapps, you name it.

I vomited at length that night.

Swish, it looks, smells, and tastes like rotting shit's asshole, it can make you blind and kill you, but it fucks you up so much. Only had it once, that's way too much.

I had a sip of pure vodka and a small amount of absinthe.
Both were a bit too strong (though the vodka mixed into Fanta well, I must say)

Yeah, I haven't tried lots of strong stuff yet. Sue me.

I had a sip of Absinthe once, it made the inside of my face hurt, so I didn't try any more.

I have had

Everclear. 190 proof

Absinthe 140 proof

Jeremiah Weed 100 Proof

then the rest of the liquors.
Isn't 175 the highest on that scale, equaling 100% alcohol volume? I don't know that system very well, I always use %.

Absinthe has what like 75% or so? I tried that. I also tried Stroh Rum wihich had 80% I think.

Whiskey is still the king at around 40-50% though.
The proof-percentage system is simple enough: the proof of an alcohol is simply double the percentage number. So something that is 100% alcohol is 200 proof. Most liquors are 80 proof (40%).

Absinthe. I think it was about 60%.
I've only ever had that once.

Smirnoff vodka, 40% is the strongest I drink on a regular basis.
well, not regular... but when I do drink, that's generally what I drink.

For a known alcohol content, definitely grain alcohol (Everclear). Three full shots of that in 45 minutes equaled one missing night in my memory. A terrible decision. And truth be told, it's dangerously easy to shoot, if you hold some chaser liquid under your tongue while you hit the shot. Smooth...but NOT recommended. Use it for mixing party punch or drunken-melons, but not for straight drinking. Like, ever.

But, I have has some 'shine in the past that I'd swear was stronger. But, since the alcoholic content of that couldn't really be determined, I'm hesitant to count it.

A okay, thanks for the heads up.

It's a different system then from the one I got to know. That one being 57% or so being 100 proof (proof being that it can burn I think). I think you took the alcohol percent and multiplied it by 175 or something along those lines.

Some brand of polish vodka (at least i said "vodka" on the label). It was basically as much pure alcohol it could get without vaporizing into an aerosol (like 0.5 percent from being alcoholic gas).

I took a swig from the screwcork it had (i.e a puny amount), and I tell you that it burned me all the way down to my stomach.

Not even absinthe (which I've also tried) came close to that stuff.

The Polish vodka was most likely Spirytus.

Absinthe is the strongest regular drink i do, pretty much each time i go out clubbing, someone always has a bottle of real one (not the crappy absinthe-called crap they tend too sell in most shops).
Strongest ever would be Everclear, Mezcal, homebrew experiments that ranged from 50-90%, and Slivovitz, which in my country used to be mandatory drink for any serious talks and funerals.
