Yep. The only thing left is Drei um "RAIFU," and I can probably assume that's supposed to be the English word life.

Thanks to the two who helped me with the runes and German language!

I'm not particularly proud of this but for an English mother tongue I can swear pretty well in Polish (though my spelling would be abysmal, my pronunciation when speaking is pretty good)

Its some crazy Gypsy accent. If you've seen the movie Snatch it sounds just like how Brad Pitt talked.

Sorry if I'm slow, but is the point of this thread to locate people who can speak certain languages so you can PM them, OR to have some sort of open discussion on the thread, so that several persons can help eachother come to the right conclusion?

Either way goes. There are some that prefers being PM'ed. Although having a open discussion is also good. For one it helps spread this thread, making sure more people know of it, when they need it

ALso. I will soon update the OP. Don't worry =P

Alright google has let me down on this front, and seeing as this is supposed to be the place where I can request translations here goes. Im looking for an English translation of a Japanes song called Promise by Kohmi Hirose.

If it helps here are the lyrics (phonetically spelled, I think):
Koi no hajimari mo yume no tsuzuki mo
Kitto anata to

Tsumetai kita kaze futari wo chikazukeru kisetsu
Tsunaida yubi kara kobore dasu
Suki no kimochi koohii no jihanki no
Attakai osu tabi kokoro ni hi ga tomoru
Get down yureru mawaru fureru
Setsunai kimochi futari de issho ni nemuru
Winter land anata dake mitsumete
Watashi dake mitsumete ashita wo chikau
Gyutto dakare moeru koigokoro
Hageshiku maichiru yuki ni tsutsumarete
Eien ni ai shiteru kyou yori ai shiteru
Zutto eternal love

Taisetsu ni suru wa mirai tsunagu shirubaa ringu
Itsu demo mamotte kurete iru ai no akashi
Yasashii egao wa
Attakai moufu mitai ni
Kanashimi nemurasu
Get down uso mo yume mo ima mo dou demo ii
Futari de issho ni sugosu winter night
Yasashii kisu wo shite hoshi ni negai wo kakete
Kako wo wasure
Sotto kami wo nadete koibito yo
Sasayaku kotoba ga mune ni komiageru
Eien ni ai shiteru kyou yori a shiteru
Zutto eternal love

Get down yureru mawaru fureru
Setsunai kimochi futari de issho ni nemuru
Winter land anata dake mitsumete
Watashi dake mitsumete ashita wo chikau
Gyutto dakare moeru koigokoro
Hageshiku maichiru yuki ni tsutsumarete
Eien ni ai shiteru kyou yori ai shiteru
Zutto eternal love
Sotto kami wo nadete koibito yo
Sasayaku kotoba ga mune ni komiageru
Eien ni ai shiteru kyou yori a shiteru
Zutto eternal love

Heya, seeing as it was myself and Dayes discussion about Easter which started the whole idea for the theme I'd better contribute.

Here in Aus the only notable thing about Easter is we eat chocolate easter eggs which we usually get first thing in the morning. Thats it. On Good Friday you're supposed to eat some fish with lunch, and on Easter Sunday its all about chocolate. We can even have stores open (I know, I worked both Good Friday and Easter Sunday) so thats about it for Aus anyway.

Aside: Daye! Well done on the 1000 reply badge! Terrific mate!

I'll take a crack at it... some of this may be a bit off since the japanese typically leave considerable portions of their sentences implied rather than spelled out exactly, but hopefully it will be close enough. I also looked up the video so I could hear the song, which helped. Not a bad song. ^.^

Falling in love, dreaming on,
it will have to be with you

In the season where the cold north wind draws close to us
The feeling of love spills forth from our entwined fingers
Pressing the "Warm" button on the coffee dispenser,
a fire ignites in my heart

Get down
Swaying, spinning, feeling, painful emotions
The two of us sleeping together in this winter land
I will look only at you
So look only at me
Tomorrow, let us make that vow
As you hug me tightly, my lovestruck heart
is engulfed in the fiercely whirling snow
Eternally I will love you from today I will love you
Forever, Eternal love

Treasuring a silver ring that will bind me (to you) in the future
As proof of our love, it protects me always
Your gentle smile is
like a warm blanket
that can put even my sadness to sleep

Get down
Even lies, even dreams, even now, it's alright
The winter night we spend together
I wish on a star for your gentle kiss
Forgetting the past
Lovers softly stroking one another's hair
The whispered words well up within my chest
Eternally I will love you from today I will love you
Forever, Eternal love

Get down
Swaying, spinning, feeling, painful emotions
The two of us sleeping together in this winter land
I will look only at you
So look only at me
Tomorrow, let us make that vow
As you hug me tightly, my lovestruck heart
is engulfed in the fiercely whirling snow
Eternally I will love you from today I will love you
Forever, Eternal love
