....And people thought Zack Snyder's take on DC was too Dark and Edgy, becuase holy shit is this show the polar opposite of Teen Titans GO!!!.

Even the Thumbnail that I am seeing right now in this OP post is misleading.

I guess they are doubling down on the Snyder/Nolan tone for their streaming service and honsetly go for it, because fuck the Marvel/Disney standard that people expects Superheroes to be.

Actual blood, actual grit, actual drama and stakes, a tone that makes me actual give a damn about the charcaters and not cringe at their attempts at self-aware humor.

Ok cooling down and being rational here and actually giving criticsm to this:

"Fuck Batman" oh yes Robin fuck Batman indeed that overrated Gary-Stu asshole...if you really are the Robin I know, because the only explination for Robin to say that is if this is Jason Todd Robin, but they showed this Robin clearly having the Circus origin story so it has to be Dick Grayson, unless Jason also had the origin story of being a Circus performer?

I am still yet convinced about Starfire and Beastboy, the latter especially because how the hell are they gonna make him change into so many different animal forms?

Given the circus, attitude and costume, he's clearly amalgam robin of Dick, Jason and Tim.

Does that actor play Flash in anything? I have no idea why, but the interview with Raven scene makes me think 'Hey look, its Barry Allen!'. Maybe it's just me being odd, or blending people's faces in my memory.

I think Jason Todd did have circus ties like Dick Grayson, but the flash back clearly shows a sign reading 'The Flying Graysons'.
This could be after Grayson angrily split with Batman, but then he'd have no reason to keep the Robin moniker.

Yeah the old Animated Series even had an angry split up between Robin and Batman:

The reason being that Batman and Batgirl were having an affiar and Dick Grayson was already Boyfriend or engaged to Barbara?

Why is beastboy there

like its a TV show with a limited budget, from a pure budget standpoint why include a character that is going to eat a large chunk of it by simply existing?
That's exactly what I thought. Although someone made a comment that I read that mabye he will only transform to one or two animals per episode instead of the crazyness that he did in the 2003 cartoon.

I don't think that's why Robin split up with Batman. If I remember right, Dick was kinda tired of playing second fiddle or his life becoming so demanding of Bruce telling him what to do. He also punched Bruce, threw the mask on the ground as well as the cap.

And this time they aren't holding back compared to the DCEU movies.

Jeez Robin was merciless.

And I have said it before, but I feel this is the concequence of the Batmanization of all of the DC's properties.

The Dark Knight was THAT influential and made them that much money.

So you can bet Robin here will be having the most developed story and effort of the cast.

And also the Harley Quinn cartoon this streaming service will get is also gonna be straight up a HARD "R" series....so expect alot of "Fanservice"

I hate the Snyder/Nolan tone for Superheroes. It's too grimm, too gritty, too joyless. I can't get invested if things are all miserable all the time. You know what what stuck a good balance between humour and drama? The friggan DCAU!!

When are execs going to realize having your own Streaming service won't make you the new Netflix? Hell even Netflix isn't as Netflix as Netflix thinks it is. Anyone remember that new Trek show you had to get a separate streaming service for? No? See?
So to with this Teen Titans debacle. No one will watch it, and those that do won't think its any good.

When will they learn that the reason Netflix became popular was because it had enough content to replace TV for people

and by taking their shows off netflix and making their own service it defeats the purpose of netflix and doesnt create a platform worth paying for

corporate greed is a hellafuv thing
Disney is doing it aswell. Makes me wonder why cable hasn't done it yet where you have to buy a box that only has Time Warner Channels?
