Says you. There was plenty of fear of Soviet Mind Game in the world of Christendom. To a good-sized niche, the fact that this game came out of the dark heart of the Evil Empire was all the proof anyone needed that video games are the Devil. Them and D&D and Rock and Roll.Recusant said:Here's the funny thing: it'd be very easy to make a movie (though probably not three) about Tetris. Think about it: here's the first major piece of software to break through the Iron Curtain, and it's not trying to destroy our infrastructure or inundate us with propaganda (unless it's really, really subtle).
It has been a long time since I had seen that, thank you. I love their minesweeper one too.Hawki said:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Alw5hs0chj0
There's your first installment.
Says a great many people at the time, actually. Yes, of course there was some hysteria about it; when has that not been true?Veylon said:Says you. I'm a little surprised (and disappointed) that this angle wasn't gone with. There's got to be something someone can do with a Cyberpunk Dystopia addicted to Tetris.
Lol when hollywood can't do proper "anime" and "video game" movies but manage comic. Yeah they doing it on purpose.thewatergamer said:And people STILL tell me "Oh no, Hollywood is doing fine!", yeah...Tetris...TETRIS IS GETTING A TRILOGY BEFORE WE KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT THE FIRST MOVIE, if that isn't a representation of hollywood as a whole, I don't know what is, well aside from maybe that abomination wearing the ghostbusters license like a mask
battleship was amazing.. the heroic story of an alien first contact exploration party who have an accident and only respond in self defense to the aggressive chimps ruling the planet they find themselves onGlongpre said:At least with Battleship they have a setting, which is enough to make up everything else. Tetris has nothing. It wouldn't surprise me if the movie has nothing to do with Tetris whatsoever.Bobular said:If Battleship is anything to go by the tetris blocks will be alien space craft and yeah I got nothing else. Even using Battleship I can't think how a tetris movie is possible, let alone three.
It will be about a boy's coming of age story, and how after highschool (which is just a mess of niches and trying to fit in (like trying to fit the pieces in correctly!!!)) he figures out what kind of person he is, and all the pieces fall into place. The climactic revelation will happen as he plays Tetris on an arcade board. Lmao.
Hollywood give me money for my great Tetris script!
