If you didn't have ID to purchase an M rated game, then you shouldn't have been able to buy it in the first place. The fact that you did has nothing to do with whether or not you should be allowed to again, because as it stands the original employee you bought it from could be fired and the second one who you dealt with had he sold it to you.Captain Pancake said:damn, i went to get this game for the second time today, as my old copy is already installed on my old busted PC, and the vendor at game said "I'm sorry, i can't sell you this." Even though i'd bought the EXACT same game at the EXACT same store not a few months ago!
games are good, but GAME employees are below retarded cockroaches on the intelligence scale.
The Backburner hasn't given you health for a while now and I have been shot in the chest many times as a scout and killed with the huntsman.MiloP said:To be honest, I got the bow today, and was rather let down.
IMO, its the sniper rifle again, 'cept with bullets that are affected by gravity and are a bit slower, and without a scope. Plus, don't think about running and gunning (bowing?), the crosshair's a bit reluctant to point you in the right direction.
And its not an insta kill. I full powered a Scout in the chest and it didn't kill him. And, since its designed to make the sniper get a bit closer to the action, it should give a bit of a health point boost, like the backburner.
One plus, it certainly makes for a more satisfying headshot.
The Orange Box is rated "products range from Teen to Mature." Portal is likely rated Teen, while the Half-Life 2 games and Team Fortress 2 are rated Mature.Thanatos34 said:Teen, I believe. I don't think they even check age for anything below Mature ratings.
15 in the UK, so he is old enough.iain62a said:Well, you aren't old enough to buy it, so they have every right not to sell it to you.Captain Pancake said:damn, i went to get this game for the second time today, as my old copy is already installed on my old busted PC, and the vendor at game said "I'm sorry, i can't sell you this." Oh, and if it's a sniper, then im all for it. who cares if it's overpowered? we still have f*ck all health.
EDIT: Wait, maybe you are, what's the age rating for the Orange Box?
Your day will come my friend... You might have died of old age by then but it will come. Valve have never delayed things before, right?T3h Merc said:I'm a 360 TF2 player so I may never know...
Erm... i don't see any problem with me buying it. over here, it's a fifteen, not an M. and, last i checked, i'm also fifteen. maybe you should check my nationality before you started preaching to me about age ratings? I don't mean to flame, I mean no offense to you in person, I'm just venting my frustrations. I intend to go down tomorrow with ID (my passport) and buy it again. Unless there's some way to reclaim the old one...rated pg said:If you didn't have ID to purchase an M rated game, then you shouldn't have been able to buy it in the first place. And if you think we're retarded...it's a Steam game. If you registered your serial number from your first copy with Steam, you can redownload it from them for free.
@Thanatos34 TF2 is M rated.
Say on their website they're working on porting it across.NoMoreSanity said:I'm in that sinking ship as well, dammit.brabz said:Same boat, sad but true.T3h Merc said:I'm a 360 TF2 player so I may never know...
Cool. Sounds like a pretty fun gamePsychosocial said:There are in game achievements, earn enough of them and the weapons unlock.Vanguard_Ex said:Sorry about my input being completely invalid but I've never even so much as tried TF2 but everyone seems to praise it. How does it work? Is it like Battlefield where you earn exp for kills and can get better weapons as you go along?![]()
You earn new weapons as you complete achievements, which is a lot better than arbitrary XP.Vanguard_Ex said:Sorry about my input being completely invalid but I've never even so much as tried TF2 but everyone seems to praise it. No, you get them for UNLOCKING ACHIEVMENTS!Psychosocial said:I only have the 360 version, that doesn't have these unlockables yet, but I've heard from people that this is how it works.Vanguard_Ex said:Cool. Though I got confused when some above poster said you have them from start, but I don't know. :/
