damn, i went to get this game for the second time today, as my old copy is already installed on my old busted PC, and the vendor at game said "I'm sorry, i can't sell you this." Even though i'd bought the EXACT same game at the EXACT same store not a few months ago!
games are good, but GAME employees are below retarded cockroaches on the intelligence scale.

Oh, and if it's a sniper, then im all for it. who cares if it's overpowered? we still have f*ck all health.
Did you try authenticating the PC you have for steam yet?

Edit: Ninja'd

PS: Has anyone tried the air compression against the bow?

I'm a 360 TF2 player so I may never know...
Same boat, sad but true.
I'm in that sinking ship as well, dammit.
Fourth'd, sadly. One day, guys. One day.

On topic, I'm sure they'll patch it sooner or later. I mean, from what I've gathered the game is still very well balanced, even after all the updates and weapons they've released over the past year or so. If it really upsets the balance of the game, I can't imagine Valve not fixing it.
Yeah I'm in the same boat. But hopefully valve will solve the memory issues they're having with TF2 soon, and then we'll have our day.

If you're paying attention it's not that hard to avoid a relatively slow moving arrow, especially at close range. I like the bow, but it's not that great unless you're firing into a packed hall of people running constantly passed, otherwise against moderately skilled people it's quite easy to constantly miss.

TLDR - Huntsman isn't overpowered because arrows don't move that fast and it almost forces the sniper into close range where he's weak.
Beat me to it. I almost prefer those guys use huntsman, I can actually do something about them, without having to pick spy, and god forbid I pick that class. I really suck as a spy. I would like one of the new watches though.

Anyway, yeah, those experienced snipers? THEY ARE FREAKS OF NATURE! MOUSE MASTERS! They headshot me in mid-air while I'm moving at full speed, before I even see them, but when one of them has a bow an arrow? They usually get me with jarate or kukiri.

Whoops, my bad, like backburner HAD.
Still, its true. Every other 125 health class has got some special ability to keep them alive longer. Scouts move quick, medics self heal, engis have turrets, spies disappear, snipers...have a bow? Just 50+ health should see them right, enough to combat scouts/soldiers without feeling the fear.
I think the point is that the sniper is sacrificing range and a bit of accuracy for much faster charge which makes it way more effective at medium range. The classes with more health have other disadvantages such as slower speeds, inaccuarate, even slower projectiles etc.

Even as a faster moving scout or a tougher soldier, I'm still scared of the huntsman and its one hit kills.
