I love the updates! I assume they'll do it for all the classes, and the fact that it's free makes it even more attractive for gamers. Too bad for the console owners though. The sniper achievements are going to be perfect...
Coincidentally, goldrush is about the only map I see kritz used on.milskidasith post=9.68248.622996 said:Kritzkrieg for defence is a useful strategy, but only if you are ubering soldiers, demoes, or, in some cases, heavies.
Kritzkrieg soldier: You just have him pop and rocket, but they kill anybody with less than ~150 HP just on splash damage. Great for stopping cart runs.
Kritzkrieg demo: Have you SEEN what throwing multiple crit stickies across a field of enemies, a chokepoint, or on the cart can do?
Kritzkrieg heavy: This one is iffy. It makes the heavy have a lot more range, because he's hitting great damage with his few hits, but it isn't nearly as useful in close range where most people STILL can beat the heavy by running around him.
IE: The only use for it is with long range/indirect fire. Actually sending a kritzkrieged person into combat is asking for them to get killed.
Wow, seriously? the frequency of updates and download time is one of the big reasons that made me stop playing. It's a damn shame to because that game was amazingplastic_window said:I wish they could come more often
Hmm, now, the boxing gloves are slow so, I'd guess if there are any Scout killing achievements they'd be pretty hard to do outside of box maps. But the five seconds of crits sounds awesome. I wonder if that will work in tandem with an Ubercharge? I can just see an Uber'd heavy wading into the melee punches flying everywhere, :3The unlockable for the Heaviest pugilists out there is the K.G.B. Any time a Heavy kills an enemy with the K.G.B he receives five seconds of guaranteed critical hits. This crit-boost can be used to punch and kill further enemies, extending the boost time. Alternatively, the Heavy can switch to another weapon and use the boost to take out an enemy at range. The Heavy's slow movement speed, and the K.G.B's slower swing speed, make it a risky prospect.
Picturing that makes me laugh hard XDGothmogII post=9.68248.625072 said:I can just see an Uber'd heavy wading into the melee punches flying everywhere, :3
yes,it is but it has 1 major flaw, the lack of updates.there hasnt been a single update for the xbox version, which sux becuase there are still only 5 maps to play on the 360.not to mention the numerous bugs vavle has fixed and not transfered to the 360(sentrys under the floor anyone?).wheres the console love vavle?PlaylistOne said:I'm surpriesed at how many people play the 360 version.
I've heard almost everyone condemn the console versions to be piles of crap while the pc version is a gift from the gods.
The 360 version is just as good as the pc version.
The 360 version's gamefinding service is crappy compared to other 360 games *cough*Halo 3*cough* but is essentially like most PC games (actually, it's identicle), and there's an unusually high probability of lagging out (again compared to other 360 games and like on a PC).PlaylistOne post=9.68248.625542 said:I'm surpriesed at how many people play the 360 version.

The definition of better here is... what exactly? And no, the PC version of TF2 does not have "an unusually high probability of lagging out". When was the last time you played the game on PC again?Eldritch Warlord post=9.68248.625567 said:So, yeah they're both equal. It's just that the 360 version has better competition.
Of course - it's a melee weapon. Considering the amount of time it takes to draw and spin up the beloved Minigun, it's only about 3 seconds of crits... that said, 3 seconds of crits is at least one kill at mid/long range. The only problem I see is that it's on kill instead of on hit like the Ubersaw's bonus. All in all, though... who the hell uses their Fists when they have the most powerful* weapon in the game, the Minigun?!Edable Giraffe said:theres heavy achievements being added on tuesday, the melee weapon is the only thing revealed so far and just like the others it seems useless.
Don't forget the fact that you can actually have servers with more than 16 players, that people can set up dedicated servers, make demos and that you can use the superior KBM controls.Woe Is You post=9.68248.625585 said:No.PlaylistOne post=9.68248.625542 said:The 360 version is just as good as the pc version.
Reasons being:
- The netcode is ass on console.
- Lack of updates (No new toys and achievements)
- ...and the tiny factoid that just about anyone can do maps for TF2 on the PC if they are so inclined.
I haven't played TF2 in a long while. If I will, though, I'm probably going to finish getting that medic stuff first (got 2 out of 3 of those weapons). What does irk me a bit is that those new toys everybody's gonna get are going to be unlockable. Unlockable stuff works in a single player game, but not so much in a multiplayer one (SSBB, Soul Calibur IV, I'm looking at you).
