I said I'd shut up but damn, I'd forgotten what a well argued piece that was by Louis CK.

Just to take one tiny piece of it.

'I don't want to have to talk to my shitty kid, therefore you two should stop being in love.'

I do wonder, why are comedians usually so much better at getting these things across than 'experts'?

Some people are just stupid. I olny wish there was a report button IRL

So I can just tell myself, "report and move on"
Well you can flag stupid pieces of shit like this.
Well, I'll say what I basically said on another website about this.... To the woman in the video claiming "My freedom is being taken away", freedom is not "being free to see/have only things that I agree with". That's not freedom at all. On the contrary, it's often things that I don't like, like this video. As long as someone isn't depriving someone else of life, liberty or property, then it should be allowed, and that includes gay marriage.

In this case, they're only TALKING about depriving others of liberties that are afforded to certain groups of citizens, but not others. I don't like it, but I'd much rather this video be put out there than not, so I won't be reporting them. That way, people can be informed about the things group like this are doing. It's easier to diffuse them and refute their claims if they're openly speaking, as opposed to forcing them to carry on behind closed doors. Plus, we get the fun of having them be openly mocked for their bigotry.

Their freedom to spout off junk like this is just as important as my freedom to be able to condemn them for their opinions.

Below: The userbase who is against gay marriage

"I used to be gay, but I stopped, and now I am very interested in girls"
... Um, what? So parents are teaching their (gullible) Kids that being gay is so horrible that you must repress your inherent sexuality, personality and genetics? Thats like saying that being tall is a sin and that you should cut off your fucking legs because god says its evil...
As a kid I was in super Christian family and was heavily filtered. Television was filtered, friends were filtered, as was school (religious schools are awful). Praying three times a day and church every Sunday. It's very easy to just take in everything they say.

Luckily for me I found the Internet aka free information and now I'm the angriest atheist of them all. Feels good man.
This makes me glad that my mom is a universalist and my dad is non-religious...

This is ridiculous. I saw this the other day an /facepalm'ed. I was pondering trolling them on youtube but sadly they had the foresight to disable the comments. Gay people don't destroy marriages or straight relationships. Sure, they may cock-block every once in a while (reminding your gf that America's Next Top Model is on, or have outrageous over-the-top fights with their boyfriend), but by the same token its no different than straight people's shenanigans.

This is just a the far right trying to impose their religious beliefs on our NON-CHRISTIAN nation.

For everyone's amusement, check out http://christwire.org/ . It got linked on College Humor a while ago, and needless to say, it had to shut down for awhile due to "Godless heathens have attacked our holy servers. If you pray enough, and click refresh, Christwire will be back up soon." I kid you not, that what the error page said.

I think Louis CK said it better:

I had to chuckle at that - his style sort of reminds me of Billy Connely.

Because comedians, if sued for calling people out for being retarded, can just say "Hey, it was a joke, freedom of speech, etc". Also, the funnier stuff tends to be abit edgy, so they get onto alot of the social issues.

Although that Russel Brand just pissed me off - there's a difference between being funny and being a dickhead who in front of a crowd prank called 999, one of the biggest acts of dickheadedness you can do by yourself, especially given it can endanger people lives; moreso if people try and copy him.

I'm a doctor forced to choose between my faith or my job.

The government is making me quit if I continue to use bloodletting and prayer as the cure for cancer and AIDs. I can no longer toss chicken bones into the dirt to find the diseases my patients have.

where ever a man or women can find some sort of happyness in today world is just fine with me. i dont give a dam if their happy then it not are concern. i still dont think they should be around kids becouse it a aldult choice to be that way. let them live in peace you have no right to tell them that they cant be happy in life. sometime you need to bite your lip when your friend shows off his 300 pound bride as happy as he can be its his life not yours.

I totally sympathise with the makers of this video. I myself was in the hitler youth a few years back, and I was prosecuted so much by the government and my friends and family. They made me change my lifestyle. It was so distressing...

(pssst, it's a joke)
