Name: Taza Nantan

Background: Late 1800?s, Wild West (A.K.A. Cowboys and Indians)

Origin: Entered a portal during a ceremony trying to contact the spirits of the earth.

Age & Gender/Race: 27, Male, Native American

Height & Weight: 6 feet tall, 217 lbs

Appearance:

History: Taza was born to an Apache Tribe in the late 1800?s and grew up as an orphan. His father had been shot by American soldiers, and his mother died giving birth to his younger sister. He was trained to be a vicious, deadly warrior. He became incredibly skilled in the timeless Apache ways of war such as knives, bows, and guerilla tactics. When he was 25, he discovered powers given to him by the spirits. He learned he could speak to animals and manipulate nature. Taza used these powers to lead his then-chiefless tribe through a very harsh winter, after which he was named the new chief. HGe was one of the few leaders of the Apache that did not follow Geronimo?s example. He did not fold to the white man?s control, but he also did not wage open war on them. Recently, food had been scarce and the local cowboys and settlers had put a price on his head. He and the tribe shamans attempted to contact the spirits for guidance, and ended up opening a portal in time, which Taza entered.

Reason to be here/things to do: Looking for a way to ensure the safety of his tribe.

Personality: Taza is a hardened warrior and a cautious leader, despite his age. He is not arrogant, but he will also not tolerate disrespect. He is also fiercely protective of nature.

Powers: Other than his skills as an Apache warrior, the spirits granted him the ability to speak with animals and manipulate nature. What that means is he can make trees fall or bend (and other similar plant related things), he can influence (but not take total control of) weather, and he can never get lost in a forest or jungle.

Notable skills: Assuming this means regular honed abilities, he is a frighteningly lethal knife-fighter, he is a marksman with a bow and arrow, he is a great tactician , tracker, and hunter. He can use a gun, but he isn?t particularly good and prefers more traditional weapons.

Equipment: Bow and arrows, multiple knives, war club, tomahawk

Languages: Native Apache Language, English, A bit of Spanish

Fair enough I suppose. I can see why they might want you to do that though, it's easier to fix mistakes early rather than have some unnoticed flaw they didn't see only be brought up 20 seconds to deadline.

Ok... Should I add an after the jump bit to the History or should I leave it as just having arrived?

Name: Gerald Fisher

Background: Near Future Dectective

Age & Gender/Race: 36, Male, Caucasian.

Height & Weight: 6'3 & 185

Appearance: A tall moderately well built man with short brown hair and brown eyes. He has a scar on his left temple from a surgical implant was installed into him, as is standard protocol for any law men of the future. Despite being from the future, much of his dress is reminiscent of a old noir film detective, including a black trench coat with accompanying suit and tie.

History: He grew up watching old films and reading old books from the past and worshiping such idols as Sam Spade and Philip Marlowe. This prompted him to open up a detective firm in New Manhattan when he became 19. He wishes he was tormented by some dark past, as it would lend some credence to his line of work, but had a great childhood.

Reason to be here/things to do: The mystery of this whole thing was just to great for a detective like him to pass up.

Personality: Tries to act "hardboiled" and can come across as gruff. This is just a front, he's a very kind-hearted and cares deeply about each of the cases he's had to solve.

Powers: The implant in his head sharpens his perception and steadies his aim, at least he hopes so. He's never had to fire his gun before.

Notable skills: Knows karate, or what his Chinese landlord told him was karate.

Equipment: A mag-rail pistol, capable of firing through 4 solid inches of steel. It can consume any metal near by, if it can fit in the 3 inch slot on the side, making ammo fairly easy to obtain. His trench coat also has Kevlar woven into it, making him fairly resistant to small arms fire. Still hurts though.

Name: Wigbehrt Knopf

Background: Language: German, Latin

Period: First Crusade (Slightly altered to include magic)

Era: Medieval, 1099

Origin: During what would come to be known as the Massacre of Jerusalem, he was storming a house when he found a door, glowing a dark, faint blue. He stepped through, and is now trying to figure out where he is. He see's a sign with weird shapes on them, C-O-M-I-C-C-O-N.
Age & Gender/Race: 24, Caucasian, Male

Height & Weight: 5'7, 230 lbs.

Appearance: A muscular man, he is never seen without the dour look on his face or his armour, mostly chainmail with a tabard adorned with his orders holy insignia, although he was unfortunately without a helmet. His hair is a chestnut brown that reaches his shoulders, and his beard is still soft with youth. His eyes are a slightly glowing light blue, due to his power.

History: Although he was born a German, and raised one, he was never accepted due to his power. Many children feared him, and adults exploited him. One day as a Templar passed through his town, wounded. Young Wigbehrt found him and used his incredible power on him, sealing his wounds in a warm, golden light. The Templar took this to mean he was an agent of god, and took him as a squire, and it was here he was truly happy. He was as a shadow for the man till he came of age, when he was promoted to a knight.

Reason to be here/things to do: To take Jerusalem back for the Christians.

Personality: He is grim and serious, and his belief in Christ guides his every move.

Powers: Angelic Arm (Celestial arrows, Healing), He has had this power since he was a boy, and is one of his main reasons for joining the Templars. When activated, his right arm glows a warm, brilliant gold, and a wing made of light emerges from his shoulder blade, though it doesn't allow him to fly. The 'arrows' fly out of his palms, and can cut through armor effectively.

Notable skills: Horse riding and fencing.

Equipment:
Your lack of history isn't a bad thing, but his whole magical power bidoof? Fine with that I guess? *shrug* I hope you studied up on that whole action and reactions concerning his devout nature in general. If you can develop him more or add something further to his history would be great, differing time lines can shape beliefs and ideals as well for characters and eras...

Name: Dune
Age: 28
Gender: Male
Race: Anglo-Saxon Caucasian
Height: 6'3"
Weight: Average
Build: Slightly Muscular
Appearance: Slightly Muscular with Lightly Tanned Skin, Short Dark Brown Hair, and Green Eyes. He has a rather large scar running across his face and usually has a rather sombre expression crossing it.

He is currently wearing the standard uniform of the Rust Rangers which is essentially ODST armour that has been painted over with a jungle camouflage that would be appropriate for Vietnam.

Background: In the history he comes from the year is 2103. The technology level is advanced and has cyberpunk elements. He arrived in the present via an anomaly in space in time which he accidentily stumbled into during a patrol in the North American Sprawl.

For specific elements of it's history, look up a game called binary domain.
Exceptions in said history would be that Japan's population had been completely replaced by the time the RUST crew had arrived, this lead to the failure of the mission. Because the mission had failed the IRTC proceeded with a full on invasion of Japan. This leads to Amada bombing most of the planet and invading it using machines.

The sprawls that survived the the bombardments became overrun with a jungle like wilderness. The war ended a year ago with the destruction of the source AI. However packs of semi sentient robots still wander the sprawls.

History: Dune was orphaned at the beginning of the war, and due to his young age and the chaos during those times he ended up forgetting his real name over time. He was used as a scavenger as most children were at the beginning, however at eight he was drafted fully into the forces. First as defence but by the time he was sixteen he had received enough experience to be a shock troop on the frontlines. When he hit the age of twenty one he was trained to be a commando and was one until the end of the war. He spent nineteen years fighting machines, and the end of the war wasn't the end of the danger, there was still machines mindlessly wandering the sprawls and people were striking out as bandits. The army ended up reorganising into a new government and Dune signed up again ending up in the 451st Regiment, the Rust Rangers.

He was on patrol in the jungles of the north american sprawl when he walked into an invisible anomaly in space and time. He felt pain wash over his body as his satellite connections went down. A second later he appeared in the middle of a road with a sign nearby that said Detroit.

Reason to be here/things to do: Survive, Retroactively abort Yohji Amada, and Prevent the Machine Revolution.

Personality: Due to the war he is usually quite grim. Exceptionally paranoid and cautious due to the circumstances of how he got to the present and his experiences with Hollow Children. Due to his long career in the military he is generally honourable in action.

Powers: Nanotechnological enhancement is common for soldiers in is time and Dune has received several enhancements. The ones he has received boost his upper body strength, his reflexes, his motor skills, his eyesight, his immune system, the resiliency of his cells (to the point of being bullet resistant), and the regeneration rate of his cells (controlled rapid healing).

Notable Skills: Advanced Weapons Handling (Small Arms Focused), Advanced Wilderness Survival Skills (Jungle Focused), Basic Engineering Skills (Electronics Focused), and Basic Medical Skills (Combat Focused).

Languages: English, French, Japanese, and Spanish.

- ODST-like body armour and helmet (ODST as in the halo kind)
- A combination wrist watch and compass
- A RAOW-R8 Assault Rifle (Modified to be more ergonomic for humans, added a Silencer)
- A RAOW-S7 Shotgun (Modified to be more ergonomic for humans, loaded with Flechette Shells)
- A LE-18 Machine Pistol (Modified to be more ergonomic for humans, added a Silencer)
- A Machete
- A Swiss Army Knife
- A Lighter
- A grappling gun
- A flask filled with whiskey.
- A cantine filled with purified water.
- A cred-stick (non-functional in present)
- A bedroll
- A Personal survival kit (GPS, matches, sterno, radio, flashlight, flares, a weeks worth of trail rations, etc.)
- A medkit (besides basic medical supplies it includes a set of nanotechnology and chemicals intended for the rapid stabilisation and healing of the critically wounded).
- Ammunition
Shot gun ready, locked and loaded here I see. Fine in most respects and I won't nit pick in any case.

Name: Michi
Background: No language anyone on Earth is familiar with, but it has roots in Latin.
Period: With her peoples' limited technology, it might as well be around medieval times.
Era: See "period".
Origin: She had a vision of something bright deeper into the caves (actually further out of the caves, and felt compelled to check it out. Turned out to be a wormhole.
Age & Gender/Race: 24, Female, Meta-human
Height & Weight: 6'1", 175 lbs.
Appearance: Large, faintly-glowing blue eyes; midnight-blue skin and hair with bio-luminescent specks all over; hair tied back in a long ponytail; form-fitting dark-green clothing that appears to be made from some sort of organic material also with some bio-luminescence, no shoes; lithe build.
History:
Michi comes from a divergent race of humans from an alternate timeline that spent almost all of their lives in caves. As such, over the years, they adapted to the darkness (helped along by some of the plants and animals they had to eat) by gaining larger eyes, some bio-luminescence, and sensitive hearing. Due to the labyrinthine nature of the cave systems they called home, they also have an uncanny sense of direction. Michi herself is a "shaman" of sorts, her mind being a particularly good conduit for mental energies. She's still very young, though, and is still developing her skills... or at least she was, before the whole "time hop" thing.

She'd started having brief flashes of this alternate (and very bright) time a few weeks before the one that sent her to the wormhole not far from the mouth of the caves. She'd chalked it up to her psychic visions showing her the past, or possibly the future. In fact, she took it as a good sign. That meant her powers were developing more, right?

Ever since the time-hop, she's been naturally very eager to get back home, doing everything she could think of to replicate what happened... which wasn't much, since she can't read English, her meditating wasn't giving her anything, and she wanted to keep her herbs for an immediate emergency, since this world didn't seem to have any like them.
Reason to be here/things to do: Learn more about her powers... and get back home in one piece.
Personality: Naturally curious, but understandably paranoid of these weird things that sort of look like her, but... aren't. It doesn't help that she can't understand their speech (she can understand their brains, but only when her own mind can pick out what it's thinking). She also doesn't like being in the sun, because it hurts her eyes.

She would very much like to get home, and out of the gaze of that huge glowing thing in the sky. Whenever she's in it (or any bright area) she feels she has to keep her eyes closed, or at least cast down at the floor.
Powers: Telekinesis, very limited mind-reading (surface-thoughts only, and then only in snippets; not enough to help her in combat, but she can understand what anyone is thinking), very brief and vague flashes of the past or future (no control over when they happen).
Notable skills: Almost flawless dark-vision, enhanced hearing and reflexes, innate climbing and jumping abilities (which also make her less prone to injury by long falls or blunt trauma).
Equipment: Clothing that can repair itself after a while. A curved sword not unlike a katana with bits that glow much like her skin, the sharp part of the blade in particular. A small bag of crude gold coins for currency. Various herbs that help sharpen her mind. A small grappling hook and thin but strong rope.
Still approved but if you'd like to add anything then feel free from your explanation post.

<spoiler=Nicholson West>
Name:Nicholson West
Background:Massachusetts Bay area, late 1660's, he wanders around towns he used to call his home, exploring the great outdoors and whatever was among it. He was raised speaking English, but his communication abilities are unpredictable due his his magical talent.
PeriodBorn in 1654
EraPuritan New England, Massachusetts Bay and the area
OriginConceived during a pagan ritual and born during another ritual exactly a year later, Nicholson assumed his place by his mother's side, his father having died three months before his birth. After Nicholson was born, his mother gave up her secret religion and became a fully devout Christian. However, when Nicholson was 7, some of his magical powers mysteriously manifested. They were harmless, but unnatural. This sparked an investigation by Church officials into the West family and heritage. Ashamed of her past actions and attempting to put them behind her, Ms. West did many things to halt or delay the investigation while it ran it's course. She used many tactics, including lying, telling the truth, confessing the names of former coven members, bribing others to speak/not speak in court, and even sleeping with investigators out of love for her son. After three years, however, her past finally caught up with her, and Nicholson's mother was sentenced to burn for her crimes. West, hiding from the authorities, cried through the entire affair. Halfway through the execution, the clear skies were filled immediately with pouring rain, but the flames only rose higher. Nicholson West has had no direct contact with civilization since that day.
Age & Gender/Race:13, Male, and English (I think)
Height & Weight:5'3", ~90 lbs
Appearance:A short and thin child, West possesses white skin that is comparable to pale, but never really reaches that level. His natural black hair is often unkempt and wild, usually sticking up above his head. His wide, puerile eyes are a thoroughly rusted green, and his arms seem unproportionally long for his size, but only by an inch or two..
History:Basically the Origin, except he walked through a purple sphere while chasing rabbits in the woods. Enter time shenanigans.
Reason to be here/things to do:He's curious. Really curious.
Personality:Childish (obviously), but primarily meek and inquisitive. He's the kind of person to be poking under rocks, climbing up trees, and staring at the stars. He has boundless energy and enthusiasm, but he's never hyperactive. He's almost always doing something and rarely tires.
Powers:Nobody knows the full story yet, but West has some magical ability that has yet to be properly studied or examined.
Notable skills:
EquipmentSimple, slightly long, dark-brown/dark-green clothes. He always wears his mother's favorite red and gold scarf even though it's too big for him. He also has some bread and a few coins in various pockets.
Hm, so no real notable skills then, and maguffin powers? I suggest making powers more clear and mentioning any if at all skills he possess, I.E climbing, hunting, tracking, learning/teaching, herbalism etc.
His history and origin I suggest fixing and spacing to make it more clear of the events that transpired, any info further for his childhood and relationships would help.

Name: Alexei Kegarov

Background: Soviet Cosmonaut; native Russian speaker (no other languages)

Age & Gender/Race: 27; Male; Caucasian (USSR)

Height & Weight: 5'2'' (157 cm); 130 lbs (59KG)

Appearance: Though certainly not tall or dark, Alexei is handsome, possessing the brightest of smiles. He is small and thinly framed, but in excellent physical condition. He wears a bright orange space suit and white helmet.

History: 1960; The Cold War; Alexei was selected to represent his nation in the great Space Race. He would have had the honour of being the first man in space.

On April 3rd, at 05:00 hrs, Vostok 1 blasted off. The mission was initially successful, but Two hours into the flight, a disturbance was reported by ground control. Something was happening in the upper atmosphere, directly in Vostok 1's flight path. Four hours into the flight, all contact was lost with Vostok 1.

IN THE PRESENT, a spherical capsule crash lands near a small farmstead. Out clambers a mysterious individual in an orange space suit. His first words to the confused looking farmhands: "Я другу товарищ! друг!"

Reason to be here/things to do: Alexei would (obviously) like to get back to his original time period, and back to Russia. He also needs to protect the one ton piece of state of the art, classified Soviet technology he just climbed out of. The last thing he knew, the USSR was on the brink of war with the USA. As such, he can't shake the paranoia, confusion and sense of military duty whilst traveling in a strange foreign country. Meanwhile, no one has ever heard of him or his space mission (as far as everyone is concerned, Yuri Gagarin is the first man in space). Getting over this, without being able to speak the local language or communicate back home, is crucial.

Personality: At the best of times, Alexei is shy and extremely sharp minded. Unfortunately, these aren't the best of times. He is brave, but deeply unsettled by his change in surroundings. The space flight alone shook him up a great deal, the time travel even more so.

Powers: None as of yet.

Notable skills: Excellent education in mathematics, physics and technology. Trained as an astronaut. Skilled combat pilot (of 60s era migs). Has had field, first aid and combat training.

Equipment: Besides Space suit, Alexei was issued with a survival bag, containing:
Makarov pistol and ammunition; wrist compass, waterproof matches; machete; fishing kit; strobe light; fire starters; radio;wool gloves; signal mirror; medical kit; penlight; balaclava; flares; whistle; sewing kit; insect repellent; wire saw; rations and 2-liter water container.

As the survival bag is heavy, Alexei will probably leave a lot of its contents behind.
Anything from child hood would help greatly so comrade, also what fun we have because you get special treatment mees-ter space man, heh. (red* in atrocious Russian accent) In all seriousness this character is just fine, and you'll be interested for were you end up.
*Communism!

This is the new character. I'll likely do some further editing, but I like this one much better. For the moment. :| I'm not usually this fickle, my apologies.
Name: Saoshyan
Background:
Period: 4th Century BCE
Era: Magical Ancient
Origin: Voluntary time displacement.
Sao is a new Magi of Zoroaster, and already a competent wizard to boot. He speaks Avestan, but knows a spell that (when it works, which is only when it's really necessary) allows him to speak and understand other languages for a short time.
Age & Gender/Race: 16, male, Persian.
Height & Weight: 5'4?, 120lbs.
Appearance: Sao dresses in all-red robes, with a red turban and slippers. He is thin, with many intricate tattoos across his face, arms and torso, most of which are images of either fire, water, or the night sky. He isn't especially muscular, owning to his training as a priest taking most of his time. He has dark brown hair worn short, and bright green eyes.
History: Sao was given to the priesthood at birth, due to his mother dying from birthing trouble and his father having died weeks after his conception. He was raised from birth to be a priest, a Magi, and, as such, was able to attain priesthood far before many would. He was trained in the magic arts of Zoroaster, of reading the stars and controlling the elements of atar and apo, fire and water. He displayed precocious talents in these arts, and mastered the basics before he was seven years old. After this, he learned miscellaneous magic from the magi in the fire temple. At 15, he became a full-fledged magi, and began his ministrations. However, after only a year, he began to grow restless and desire to travel the world. In a vision, the god Ahura Mazda showed him the ritual to open a portal to a new time, a new place. Upon waking, Sao immediately gathered the needed items and performed the rite.
Reason to be here/things to do: Boredom. He only wants to explore a new place, and to practice his abilities unhindered. However, he believes the temporal warp was caused by Angra Mainyu, the creator of evil, and that he was sent by his god to fix it.
Personality: Easily angered, prone to rash actions, but ultimately kind. Completely devoted to his religion, and devotes himself to battling druj, chaos and decay.
Powers: Aforementioned magic abilities, control/production of fire and manipulation of water, as well as a few minor spells. Also able to read the stars for a prediction of the future, though with time so muddled this is not as useful as it might could be.
Notable skills: Not very many. Due to his secular life, the only skills he ever really developed were performing rituals and magic. However, he is fairly persuasive, as a priest probably ought to be, and is reasonably capable of hand-to-hand fighting, due to a few (dozen) boyhood scrapes.
Equipment: His clothing and a small, mostly ceremonial dagger. He has a small pouch of dried haoma, mostly as a symbol rather than for actual use.
Feel free to make any comments, suggestions, criticisms, insults, potshots, lobbed molotov cocktails you feel necessary/desire to. Haha.
Edit 1: Expanded his appearance, but I don't see much else I want to change yet.
Approval, very nice and clean I think. Any info or care to give a summary of his religion? Or do I have to go to the internet for answers? Either way is okay.

Sounds bland and his weaponry seems rather... unconventional in the best/worst cases. Anything more on his history childhood wise that might shed some light on his happy times? That or any other actual skills? Info on his time period he's growing up in, more background information from history might help.

Uh... I assume you want the concise version? I can talk for hours about it.
Ahura Mazda made everything, including asha, truth, order, goodness. Then Angra Mainyu came into existence, and basically fucked all the things up. He created druj, chaos, disorder. Zoroaster was a prophet in ancient Iran, roughly 6BCE who made a lot of the doctrine. A follower is required to actively do their part to fight druj, so lying and anarchy and such are sins of the highest order.
Miscellaneous notes: Head coverings are required, for some reason. Fire and water are sacred elements, and according to the stories, fire was made from water. A lot of europeans believed they were wizards because they charted the stars. It's from their word, magi, we get magician. So in this history, they really are wizards.
I think that gives you a rough outline. If you have specific questions about something I mentioned/mention in the future, feel free to ask.

Name: Gerald Fisher

Background: Near Future Detective from a time where who is good is decided by who has the most money and power. In this place, corruption is the norm and society is dependent of technology and drugs to make through the day. Powerful gangs control Blocs of the cities and the police are little more than a formality to keep the public feeling slightly safer.

Age & Gender/Race: 30, Male, Caucasian.

This prompted him to open up a detective firm in New Manhattan when he became 21, after he quit the force. He wishes he was tormented by some dark past, as it would lend some credence to his line of work, but had a great childhood. He was the kid on the playground who stood up to the bullies and malcontents, but turned his eye for justice to the teachers and principals as well. This made him slightly unpopular, but knowing that he was fighting for justice makes his whole life worthwhile. He ran into a similar situation with the police on the force he originally worked for who provided him with the cutting edge tech he has today. When he grew tired of the bureaucracy and politics of the Police, and started his own firm. He's made powerful enemies amongst the criminal underground, due to his curious nature and righteous actions. He's always been chasing the big case however, the one that would solidify him in time as the greatest detective ever known.

Reason to be here/things to do: When he came across the portal in the alley across from his firm, he studied it for days, attempting to find out more about it. When none of his tests or observations proved fruitful, he decided to find out for himself and dive headfirst into the fray. Now that he's arrived, he's most focused on figuring everything out and getting back alive.

Personality: Tries to act "hardboiled" and can come across as gruff when first encountered. This is just a front and falters the moment it's challenged, he's a very kind-hearted and cares deeply about each of the cases he's had to solve. He's not one to start a fight, but he can do his best to finish it. Failing that, he's not above running.

Powers: The implant in his head sharpens his perception and steadies his aim, at least he hopes so. He's never had to fire his gun before. He can also use it to process any situation and find his best chance of survival. Provided the internet or is available, he can access it through the implant and use it to "download" any language or fighting style. It can also access information and interact with computers, phones, etc, so long as Gerald can touch it. Additionally, it can boost his adrenaline, giving him as good strength as he could possibly have.It also heals him slightly faster than normal, but it isn't a miracle worker. Limbs can't be regrown, but it can keep his heart pumping and blood flowing. Given time, bones can regrow and cuts repaired.

Notable skills: He can learn any fighting style or language through the implant, provided he has space to store it or is connected to the internet. So far, he has boxing down to an art and despite his size, is quite acrobatic. He speaks several languages, including English, Spanish, French, and Chinese.

Equipment: A mag-rail pistol, capable of firing through 6 solid inches of steel. It can consume any metal near by, if it can fit in the 3 inch slot on the side. Any metal placed in the gun is then broken down into smaller chunks, making ammo fairly easy to obtain. From a single piece of steel, he obtains around 200 rounds of ammunition which can be fired automatically. It can also be altered to fire a stream of molten steel, this however needs a lot of metal to keep up for a long length of time.

When worst comes to worst, he carries a pair of Power Knuckles, brass knuckles that have been forged from a new alloy that is similar to diamond in hardness. Each stud on the knuckle is on a pneumatic piston, giving his punches quite a bit of a bite to them.

His trench coat also has Kevlar woven into it, making him fairly resistant to small arms fire. Still hurts though.
Sounds bland and his weaponry seems rather... unconventional in the best/worst cases. Anything more on his history childhood wise that might shed some light on his happy times? That or any other actual skills? Info on his time period he's growing up in, more background information from history might help.[/quote]

Sorry, lol. I've honestly never done one of these before, was attempting to not make him over powered. I'll add more with the implant, really his best equipment, clarify that the gun breaks down the metal into smaller pieces rather than just shooting it, ex. one piece of 3 inch steel can be made into around 200 rounds, and add to history. Thank you for the feedback.

Fixing time, then.

<spoiler=Nicholson West>
Name: Nicholson West

Background: Massachusetts Bay area, late 1660's, he wanders around towns he used to call his home, exploring the great outdoors and whatever was among it. He was raised speaking English, but his communication abilities are unpredictable due his his magical talent.

Period: Born in 1654

Era: Puritan New England, Massachusetts Bay and the area

Origin: Conceived during a pagan ritual and born during another ritual exactly a year later, Nicholson assumed his place by his mother's side, his father having died three months before his birth.

Basically, his mother was a pagan who settled in Massachusetts Bay Colony. Nicholson West's birth was centered around a few ceremonies. After he was born, his mother converted back into Christianity and became a model Puritan citizen. However, her previous connection to pagan cults was uncovered, and she was burned for it. Nicholson's powers first manifested when he poured out rain on a sunny day to try in put out the flames, but his mother still died. After his mother's execution, he ran away from the colony, living for several years in the New England woods.

Age & Gender/Race: 13, Male, and English (I think)

Height & Weight: 5'3", ~90 lbs

Appearance: A short and thin child, West possesses white skin that is light, but not pale. His natural black hair is often unkempt and wild, usually sticking up above his head. His wide, puerile eyes are a thoroughly rusted green, and his arms seem unproportionally long for his size, but only by an inch or two.

History: Basically the Origin, except he walked through a purple sphere while chasing rabbits in the woods. Enter time shenanigans.

Reason to be here/things to do: He's curious and wants to learn more about the world/universe/dimension.

Personality: Childish (obviously), but primarily meek and inquisitive. He's the kind of person to be poking under rocks, climbing up trees, and staring at the stars. He has boundless energy and enthusiasm, but he's never hyperactive. He's almost always doing something and rarely tires. He's also been a vegetarian since he fled MB Colony, because he's afraid to kill/cook animals.

Powers: West has yet to properly assess his abilities, but they are at least partially nature based (Think D&D druid spells). Examples include detecting living beings (or perversions thereof), shaping/manipulating plants, buffing himself/allies, and he's experimenting with polymorphing.

Notable skills: West has the ability to communicate with non-humans, although their demeanor cannot be influenced by West, therefore limiting somewhat what he can do with them. His extended sojourn in the forest has lead him to be a survivalist, and this is helped by his powers having much of their base in nature. He loves heights, and he has a tendency to get on top of things whenever possible. He knows how to start fires, forage for food, build shelters, etc. He's more of a Boy Scout than Bear Grylls, though.

Equipment Simple, slightly long, dark-brown/dark-green clothes. He always wears his mother's favorite red and gold scarf even though it's too big for him. He also has some bread and a few coins in various pockets. The clothes are tattered, as he doesn't replace them often, and they're full of patches that he installed with stolen sewing tools.

I wasn't planning on macguffin powers (they're kind of a deus ex machina, actually), I was just hoping that West would grow into his powers as part of maturing and a character arc, but I'm setting more specific limits anyway. My goal for the character is to end up kinda like the D&D Druid, and I thought that putting those abilities in a child who grew up in Puritan New England to be interesting. More opinions are appreciated.

When does the actual role play begin? Will it take place on this thread or another? Are we combating each other or working together? Like I said, I'm a noob at this. I'll ask a lot of questions.

New to this thing but, I used to play rifts and D & D. So please give me advise if I m doing this wrong.
Hrum
First I'd need a better explanation for his "Mysterious" past, second care to fill out one of the background info for the sheet, I.E how did he arrive in a new time line?
Description of his weapons in some way (How'd they look if I was holding them) and any qualities they may have, I.E is the sword a super-cut-all, or just plains steel to wield? I'd need more to work on concerning him.
His personality and goal and how or why he was affected by the "Beings" that made him wish to change back or anything, or reasons to know/believe such a thing.
Do you mean Ephemeral as in short-lived, or Ethereal?
If you are curious towards anything like keeping some plot hidden from other players then just PM me.

So does the gun just bite pieces of metal off? Say from a large metal bar randomly laying around? The process is the issue, along with the size of it really, not to mention power for it to fire through 6 INCHES of steel, does it use a nuclear core or what?
So he has a power fist from Fallout then? http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Power_fist
Effectively he has the internet in his skull when he has a decent connection as well? Does this mean he can be hacked or messed with?
