in what songs, movies games or books have you ever got them, you know what i mean, goosebumps whenever anything amazing or epic happens(this is my 1st post so.... don't bite?)mine are thistles and weeds(song) and a few speeches in certain movies or books and any last stand
Actually, I've learned to make goosebumps appear at will so whenever I feel like something is worth of getting goosebumps, I just "summon" them, :)

for sure, the ending of mass effect 1

at about 1:36ish is where the epicness starts.

basically all the cutscenes in the ending are extremely goosebump capable. especially after playing the whole game and getting the sweet sweet victory of catching up to saren, it also adds to the epicness.

edit:

also to add in just a plain song. this for sure

can't exactly explain why..just gives me ridiculous goosebumps when hearing it.

The entire fight between gandalf and the Balrog. The amount of epic put into that fight scene is almost to the point where it's just not allowed. I mean, just describe it to yourself, a lesser god in the form of a wizard is fighting a lesser god in the form of a demon made of shadow and flame while falling into the bottomless pit within a mountain. There is also lightning.

Heres a link to the whole thing.

Usually for me it's a well-written tragic story that does it (happy endings tend to ruin it for me, bittersweet endings are best)... or a representation of such a story through music.

Mind you, the inspiration for this song can only be considered well-written in broad strokes...
But the Lufia duology was well ahead of its time in terms narrative structure back when it was made:
doesn't hurt that the guy who pieced the music together is an amazing musician with a real talent for creating emotional content.

It's a orchestral piece composed by Hans Zimmer for pirates of the Caribbean. Called 'Marry me.'

That song can make anything sound freaking epic.

I get them a lot from the Mass Effect games.
Specifically the conversations with Vigil & Sovereign, the destruction of Sovereign, the reveal of the Normandy SR2, Saren committing suicide, Tali finding her father during her loyalty mission :(. And the whole suicide mission at the end of Mass Effect 2.

inFamous 2's good ending.

I still get chills to this day when I play Mega Man X. The music in that game has always been amazing.

The ending of Dragon Age: Origins

The Opera scene in Final Fantasy VI.

Now for a song that always gives me goosebumps every time I listen to it.

There are too many things for me to list, so I'll just stop before I get too carried away.

Ah, the tingly feeling!
I thought that was just me being my weird self, but, nah~
Anyway, I know I get the tingles at powerful, moving music. This includes national anthems.
The first time I heard my own countries national anthem, I actually shuddered. (For those who wonder, "Hen Wlad Fy Nhadau", the lovely Welsh nat. anth. Sheep not included.)

Me too! Also "White Blank Page" gives me the tingles every single time. Also, George Watsky's video of him reading a poem he made called "Letter to my 16 Year Old Self"

I have many that I could mention, but the most recent was from a movie.

The scene where Iron Man and War machine fight the drone robots in the garden dome in Iron Man 2.

I usually get it in films.

Mainly when a really good piece of music comes along or if someone says a cool speech, the ones you memorise so that you can say them later and sound awesome

This song gave me chills when I first heard it, and sometimes it still does. It's like when you look at the moon and the stars: You're like "okay cool" most of the time. But every once in a while, you'll look at the full moon, or look up in your zenith at all the stars and just go, "holy shit. Those are all really there."

Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World: The Movie. The first time Sex Bob-Omb plays.

I always get chills down my spine. It makes me want to jump for joy.
