The Indiana Jones vibes was strong at the beginning.
Holy shit, I think they have the entire roster, also they said the line!
We Do Not Serve, We Rule!!!
3 of the Legendary Lords starts in the same continant which is Nehekhara/Southlands yes; but one of them, Khalida, starts at Lustria which is the Lizardmen's home.Meiam said:I guess they'll only start on one continent, suck if you don't like the continent.
So who's your first LL choice?Zykon TheLich said:Sweet, Tomb Kings came along after I stopped keeping up with WHFB but they always looked pretty damn cool. Will be nice to try out some Egyptian themed undead.
I'll probably go for the mummy lady.Samtemdo8 said:So who's your first LL choice?
I'll probably be trying out Settra or Khatep first. From the info on the FAQ [https://www.totalwar.com/blog/tomb-kings-announcement] Khalida is going to be primarily ranged focused which... isn't my play style (shakes fist at Orion) while Arkhan is a villain character and his buffs aren't things I'm really interested in.Samtemdo8 said:So who's your first LL choice?Zykon TheLich said:Sweet, Tomb Kings came along after I stopped keeping up with WHFB but they always looked pretty damn cool. Oh that's nice, my biggest issue with warhammer 1 was how restricted the starting location were, I liked the dwarf gameplay, but I hated there starting location (its seems like it was designed to make orc using the underground as annoying as possible). Similarly the undead all started at the same spot which was pretty uninteresting.Samtemdo8 said:3 of the Legendary Lords starts in the same continant which is Nehekhara/Southlands yes; but one of them, Khalida, starts at Lustria which is the Lizardmen's home.
Well according to CA, the Vortex Campaign for the Tomb Kings is finding the 9 Books of Nagash and bring them to the Black Pyramid and Arkhan the Black, who is Nagash's right hand man, is a Legendary Lord in this DLC. And Arkhan has abilities that makes him use Vampire Count units.jademunky said:I was going to mention Nagash as well. They have Archaon and Malekith, they might as well throw their other big bad in there as well.
I also still hold out hope for a playable Kislev faction one day.
At the very least Araby had units and models even if they were not directly from Games Workshop themselves, at least they have something were as Norsca was just scrounging up random models mostly from Forge World to make a whole faction itself. Araby has a foundation set already:evilthecat said:It was kind of a no brainer considering Khmeri was already in WHFB and is currently represented in game by a bunch of generic vampire counts.
My guess is that Araby will get a DLC at some point for similar reasons, even though they've never been a full army in the tabletop game (but then, neither has Norsca and that was probably the best DLC faction in the first game).
I'm also quietly keeping my fingers crossed for the pirates of the vampire coast. They had one of the weirdest army lists with pistol wielding zombies and other glorious nonsense.
BAH...KHORNE IS IMPATIENT, AND HE THIRSTS AND CRAVES FOR THE BLOOD AND SKULLS OF THE ARMIES OF WARHAMMER FANTASY!!!TheFinish said:I want Chaos Dwarfs and Ogres! What is this skelleton crap! Go back to yer pyramids!
And I cannot wait for both, the Ogre Kingdoms especially since they were my 3rd most wanted faction at the start of the first game I mean jeez they has the most gnarliest monsters of all the put the Chaos Daemons to shame:RiseOfTheWhiteWolf said:And they're coming very soon...TheFinish said:I want Chaos Dwarfs and Ogres! In Total War Warhammer III!
Yeah, they blew up Warhammer Fantasy a while ago. The End TImes ended with the whole world consumed by Chaos and a few survivors like Sigmar, Nagash, and others setting up elsewhere. Tomb Kings were not one of the factions that made it out.Bobular said:I used to collect Tomb Kings so this looked good to me. Made me go to GWs site to see how much a couple boxes of Ushabti would cost me as they were always my favourite and I was told they were now in plastic with options for bows. Then I was sad to learn that GW don't seem to sell any Tomb King stuff at all now.
