Okay so we have one vote for Me and I think one vote for Red? Found the post with Asclepions say in this, but considering he passed nvm.
Wrong snip, was searching for reds...

And here is mine from the older OOC thread as well.

Alrighty mine is The Earthed Ocean. A land torn asunder by a magicians blunder, harnessing the power and making a plan, he strived to understand the tower as a mere mortal man.

His hope was to create doors or portals to reach other levels by force, like redirecting a rivers course. He failed and what was once a green lush land, became desolate and covered in sand. Oceans dried and creatures died, and few things survived. Though survive they did and darker things came unbid.

Things grew lighter and winds grew fiercer, civilization was oasis to oasis marked by towers obsidian black, slightly translucent and hard to crack. They seemed to take in the suns light and lit up the frigid night, warming all and making the darkness bright (think a full moon).

Underground was now the place to be safe and sound, with water aplenty and building material always ready. One might ask why sand does not fill the caves? The answer is simple, magic... At certain points fountains of sand some small, others large, pour to the surface, carrying all that enters it sky wards.

For magic here magic was once wild and free, but now it is grounded in man and beast alike.

That's it for now but deep caves among other things, an endless desert of despair, gravity is different, magic is rampant, and Arabian nights to sum it up.

I'm not really the right guy to ask. I come from the days when the spell 'haste' had ruined the game and druids routinely massacred fighters twice their level. [http://1d4chan.org/wiki/CoDzilla]

I don't mind it- either low or high magic can work as long as it's well written and integrated into the setting. I have seen good examples of both. Personally, I'll usually just describe the effect, or if I must reference it directly I'll say something like "some sorcerous power" or "a mystical force".

And I vote Mr.Ivebeenframed. His level seemed the most developed, he is not concurrently DMing something else, and I'm curious how he'd run it.

Signup thread will be posted shortly.

Name: Damien Daggoth

Age & Gender: 17, Male

Height & Weight: 5"10, 180 lbs

Appearance: Damien has bright silver hair that is usually tied back in a ponytail to keep it out of his face. Damien has bright blue eyes and a childish face. Damien normally wears a set of bright white armor and clawed gauntlets.

History: Damien was born into a moderately wealthy family, in a small mountainous village. Damien's village was in a highly productive area, wood being their main export. To protect the villagers from the creatures in the mountains, an order was formed known as The Knights of Order. The Knights were founded by the same family lineage that founded the village itself, and is run by the village founders great grandson Abaddon. The Knight's left their family homes and moved into the fortress-monastery that housed the order. Damien's father was the first of his family to join up with the Knights, and was selected later to travel toward the great tower known as Druaga to seek the truth of what was at the top. The first party of Knights to travel there were the order's leader and a handful of trusted knights that left the village when Damien was only ten years old. None of them were ever heard from again, and Damien was left without knowing what had happened to his father, a thought that haunted his every dream. It wasn't many years after that, that a small pack of dogs were found and trained to serve the Knights of Order as faithful companions and trusted allies. The pack was found a home in the Monastery, and each year the numbers grew. Every knight upon initiation, was sent into the den of the dogs to find a wolf that would be his lifelong ally, someone that the Knight could trust almost as much as any other human.

Damien himself joined up with the Knight's of Order at the age of fifteen, finding himself a black-furred dog with bright red eyes. Damien left his family home despite the disapproval of his mother and two older sisters, wanting to join the order and eventually seek out his father within the Tower. Damien didn't have to wait long, shortly after his seventeenth birthday, Damien was given the choice to travel to the tower with a handful of others to seek out their order's founder. Although that wasn't Damien's top priority, not even close. Damien wanted to know what had happened to his father, and why, after seven years nobody had received word from the Tower of Druaga. The knights left, leaving behind everything but their armor and weapons, and just enough provisions to last them a few weeks. Most of the Knights brought their wolves with them, but Damien refused to bring his wolf if he was leading it into a death trap. It was a week before Damien arrived at the base of the Tower, all the other knights having been killed off or falling behind on the way there, never to be seen again.

When Damien arrived, he found a pile of bones and a signet ring that had once belonged to his father. The ring was inlaid with an emerald, given to his father upon initiation into the order, while Damien's was a sapphire. Damien mourned his father's passing for nearly a day, before he looked up at the tower, and began his climb.

Reason to be here/things to do: Damien want's the truth about what is at the top of the tower, and than death.

Personality: Ever since finding his father's bones, Damien has become very secluded and hostile towards other people. Having once been a very kind caring individual, this change was erratic and disturbing. Damien is stubborn and will get into a fight just to fight.

Notable skills: Damien is an exceedingly amazing swordsman, and he excels at all forms of survival in the wilderness whether it's climbing, cooking, or hunting.

Equipment: Damien has a bright silver sword and bright white armor crafted with the Knight's of Order crest. A cloak is built into his armor, which keeps him warm even in cold temperatures, and he carries around a pack with basic survival tools such as a hunting knife, a water-skin and a whetstone. Damien also has three pounds of dried meat in his pack that he hasn't found occasion to eat yet since he was able to find food in the Tower.

Bah, not my best bio but here's my sheet.

And here's my level

A land of forests and ashed plains, the few cities scattered are only slightly less dangerous than living in the wild, and the skies are all stained a different color, depending on the city. Behind walls of pipes and steam, the City of Storms lies on the eastern-most coast, and is home to many legends. A ship that comes into port, sometimes bringing with it travelers, sometimes coming in with no crew at all. It simply drifts into dock, and after a few hours, heads back out to sea. It has no set record, and all attempts to board, capture, and sink it have ended in disaster from it defending itself. The only thing known for sure is that it has no crew, it is an enigma where it originated from, as the markings on it are alien to the cityfolk, and its weapons are startlingly destructive.

Inside the city itself is a talking tree, a former climber that the townsfolk revere as a keeper of wisdom, he/she answers because nigh immortality is a boring thing without some kind of entertainment.

The gate to the next level is heavily guarded and is known by all of the level's inhabitants.

A strange killer has been stalking targets at random, the only correlation being that each of them are found in large public areas, and are still alive in the most horrific of ways(impaled by numerous pipes/arrow/implements, skinned alive to roast in the sun, strung up, moments from death, and all in the area are forced to watch the display) Only a few have even caught a glimpse of him, and they describe him as death and evil incarnate.

The government is run by a sect of witches and their guardians, some born to other witches, most born to the working class. Their guardians from birth know exactly where they are, a special bond connecting the two.

No. TvTropes is fucked. They'd have to completely restart it.

M. Bison: YES! YES!! YESS!!!

It'll have to wait a while, though. Not sure how the Tropers would react to this coming up, and I'd need a few veterens from the first ToD to help me out.

There's already one for another escapist RP (Either we are our avatars or Mall fight).
As for other people who were in the last RP I don?t think it?ll be hard to get interest.
What sort of objection do you anticipate from other tropers?

Have you had much experience on Tv Tropes before because I don?t have any myself which is why I?m looking for help/ permission.
Well, the whole point of TVTropes is to examine the plot elements of a story. Having not been around for PT. 1 I don't know the story, other than that which is presented to me. I'd have to have at least a few tropes lined up already for the page.

Also, apparently there's an anime called Tower of Druaga, and it might cause confusion.

Seeing as Avo2nd put a second character up, I decided to make a character that's been floating around in my head for a while. I'm not going to play it (Faunra is more wrapped in the story already), but I needed to get the idea out of my head. I'm posting it to see if anyone has any ideas to improve upon it.

Name: Andriolialiol (Andria and Adriana)
Race: Dvati. The Dvati are a species of humanoids from a remote region of a desert floor. They live among the crags, in small insular villages. The Dvati are on average a few inches shorter then the average human of the same gender. Their skin is a pale grey, and their eyes are invariably bright blue. Males have no hair, but women tend to have as much hair as a normal human (though no hair on females does occasionally occur) that can be of any natural color or light blue. Their heads are slightly elongated, up and to the back, and their noses tend to be less pronounced. They have three fingers (one a thumb) that are particularly well suited for climbing cliffs (each finger is significantly stronger then the same of a human) Davati are nomadic, and will move with the food throughout their lands (which are large for their population) Dvati are empathic, and can even communicate with their sibling (more later) and animals. They use this ability to help corral many creatures in the crags to use as mounts and occasionally food (though they try to avoid this). Dvati believe in "The Great Wheel" - a cycle of reincarnation for all living things.
The most notable trait about Dvati however, is their "sibling". Every Dvati is born as a pair of twins. These two bodies, rather then being two individuals, are in fact one soul inhabiting two bodies. These two can communicate telepathically over any distance with each other (even different floors) and are so connected, that should one die, the other is quickly driven to madness and suicide. Even if this were prevented (such as by imprisonment), the twins body will slowly wither and die - taking anywhere from one day to six months. Both twins are identical.
Because Dvati are a race with two bodies, their language is almost impossible for others to mimic. all words in Dvati require two mouths to say, which leads to significant communication barriers with other species. Even their names require two mouths to say. Dvati, when they come of age, pick their adult name. They take pride in picking a complicated and difficult name. They have adopted the common tongue for communication with other species and for when their twin is elsewhere. To make communication easier, each twins takes a name of it's own in the common tongue (usually with some similarities to their real name), though they tend not to remember which twin is which for any length of time. Even in the common tongue however, communication is difficult, as each twin has a tendency to finish the other's sentences - even if they are miles apart.
Dvati are very interested is esotaric matters - from science to art - and like to focus on one such task for almost their entire lives. For instance, one twin might start a painting on one side of a massive canvas and the other twin on the other side, then meet in the middle after several years of painting. For Dvati, one perspective on any problem is never enough. If, for instance, they needed to cross a river, one would stare at the river as close to it as the twin could - feeling the water, getting a feel for it's flow, and it's depth. The other would find as high a place as possible, trying to get a more general view of the river and the problem. When they were eac satisfied, they would meet again and discuss their results until they reached consensus. Dvati tend to vocalize their inner conflicts, with each twin taking one side in the debate.
Age & Gender: 26 & Female
Height & Weight: They are both 5'3", and weigh 83lbs.
Appearance: Andria and Adriana both have light blue eyes, and light grey skin. they wear their pale blue hair long. Each has a series of tattoos on their body that, when placed together create a combined pattern of a lizard chasing his own tail - these tattoos are one of the only ways to identify which twin is which. Each wear a rust colored cloak, with grey blotches, leather leggings, and a chain mail shirt. Each has a number of tribal fetishes hanging from their necks that, when put together make a whole unit. They trade these fetishes around often, so identifying each twin via their fetishes is possible, but only with the most current knowledge of who has what.
History: Andria and Adriana were born in a small community in the Resoral Mountains, of the desert floor called Akritos. The community was a good home, filled with many Davati, each seeking their own goals with all their passion. Andria and Adriana's Father (Temros and Terridid) and Mother (Ammsosa and Ammosia) were loving parents. Andria and Adriana grew up with relative comfort (for a nomadic forager people), and loved their village dearly. However, despite their love for their home, Andria and Adriana were born with a more adventurous spirit. Unlike the many people in their village, they wanted to go out and see the rest of the world. They heard stories of the many other races - the ones with only one body - and of the many places they came from. Though they wanted to see these things however, they hardly believed they were real, opting to believe that the tales of the one-bodied races and their adventures were just myths of the elders to keep them good - after all, everyone knew the one-bodies could cut Dvati apart, turning them into one-bodies and cutting them from the Great Wheel. It wasn't until their twelfth year that they learned just how wrong they were.
One day, while they were traveling to their summer hunting ground, their village came upon a small group of adventurers (who called themselves "climbers") lying in the their path, dying of thirst. The younger Dvati, Andria and Adriana included, were frightened, and ran to hide. The elders however, approached the adventurers, giving the one-bodies water and food, and nursing them back to health. Seeing their lack of fear, Andria and Adriana went to watch. There they learned the truth. The one-bodies, despite their strangeness, were much like the Dvati. they needed water and food, they burned in the sun, they bleed, and one of them even died. With this, they realized the elder's stories were just stories, designed to keep them good - they just happened to have a bit of truth in them.
Andria and Adriana visited the adventurers often while they rested, listening to their tales of heroic deeds and adventure. Storied of lands with frozen water as far as the eye could see, of crystal seas, of massive jungles half remembered, and other more bizarre places. This was all the fuel Andria and Adriana needed - when they came of age, they knew exactly what they were going to do. 6 years later, that day came, and their desire to travel had only strengthened. Their village, knowing the path they had chosen was a difficult one, gave them what they could. Their father gave them a pair of red-steel chain shirts, to protect them where he could not. Their mother gave them a pair of cloaks to hide them and comfort them where she could not. The elders each gave them a fetish to protect them from the real monsters of the one-body world and to remind them of their home. Finally, in the coming of age ceremony, they cut the tattoos into their body to mark them adults, and gave them the lizard bone knives they used to make them for their final protection. A pack of what supplies they could give and they left their home, seeking the world.
Since then, the two have traveled all over the tower, trying to see as much as they could. Unlike most climbers, Andria and Adriana went down the tower, more interested in seeing the world then the fabled prize at the top. Many of the more dangerous levels they skipped, trying to stay alive. Eventually, they reached the bottom, turned around, and started climbing back up.
Reason to be here/things to do: They only wish to see the tower. If they have to stop a villain or two in the process, so be it. despite their adventuring spirit, they do look forward to reaching their level again - feeling a little home sick after 8 years.
Personality: Andria and Adriana are playful in nature. They treat each new day as a miraculous gift and a chance to see more. They tend to find some parts of the Because they are very inquisitive, and the one-body civilization is confusing, they freely ask questions of why the one-bodies do things one way or another. Particularly, they don't understand the one-bodies fascination with precious metals and gems, and they don't fully grasp the concept of a market - they understand ownership, but why do they not just barter and how does one know the value of a "coin" so easily? They also wish to take what they learn and return it to their home some day - wanting to give the tribe a more accurate story of the world beyond. Andria and Adriana are getting better at remembering their common names, only rarely forgetting which body is which.
Notable skills: Andria and Adriana are mildly psionic. They have the ability to communicate with each other over any distance, though such telepathy only works with each other. However, due to this telepathy, they are able to communicate with animals on some base level. this manifests as a type of animal empathy. They "know" how the non-sapient mind thinks, and can use this to calm and train animals. They have used this ability to get several animals to follow them as companions. Most of these creatures are small mammals and birds. they do however have two other, much larger creatures. These animals are a pair of large cats from a frozen level called Absroza. The one-bodies call them Dire Tigers. The two are a mated pair of tigers, each white in color, and larger then a horse. As with all creatures of Absroza, they are mildly magical. Their stripes change location at will, shifting to the environment they're in to better hide them. In addition, their claws are longer and sharper then those of a normal tiger. Finally, Andria and Adriana are also expert ambush huntresses. with simple weapons, their animal companions, and their telepathic link, the two can bring down game significantly larger then they should be able to. Equipment: In addition to their standard traveling dear (tents, rations, water, bedrolls, etc), Each carries a number of knives, each from a different level, a hatchet, and a short bow with a small number of arrows. Each also has a journal, that they have been filling with stories of their travels. One is written in the common script, while the other is written in the Dvati script - they otherwise have the same information within.

I like TV Tropes in it's premise, an analysis of much of what we consume. But I don't agree with the outlook the userbase takes and the fundamental basis of the website. It's just a clusterfuck of information; filled with unsubstantiated claims, nerdgasming, and pointless trivia. It frequently leads to minimalization and at times dehumanization of pretty much every single idea of all time. It's true that there are lots of basic plots, motifs, and archetypes in fiction. But what really makes a work good isn't just the building blocks of plot and characters, but their context. A work that assembles tropes like lego bricks is just going to come off as extremely derivative and lacking resonance with the audience.

I'd also liken it to anti-Newspeak, in that rather than destroying words it just floods jargon until whatever meaning there was is lost. They take recurring tropes in fiction and in their obsessive nerd-dom give them the most bizarrely obscure titles so that you need a reference to understand it. The epitome of this problem is that the trope of a villain manipulating the heroes into doing his dirty work, something that appears across stories of all kinds as long as stories have been told, is named after the villain of the mid-90s Disney action cartoon, Gargoyles. The page that any normal person would file under Machiavellian manipulation is named after the bad guy on loving Gargoyles.

I understand who Xanatos is, despite never seeing the show (only because of TV Tropes), but I strongly believe that something that omnipresent deserves, if not a general name that doesn't refer to a specific story or character, perhaps something that's become a classic, or is timeless.

Bottom line: It's an amazing resource when you're dealing with the original purpose, but is a victim of it's own popularity and lack of moderation. Avoid anything having to do with the community.

Enticing in many a sense for what you have, a the whole "Telepathy Twins" ideal is something a lot of people I've seen done, and often mess up/abuse. A not so fond memory was were a pair went and pulled a switch of body and mind, involving one acting as an anchor and the other a possessor. It got really stupid and I left after they wanted to control my character and the GM was okay with it like that.

I'm sure people can call op for this, but yet again power issues go to the Main Gm here. So a duo of Huntress Beast Masters, acting as tourists as they ascended in hopes to come back home after such a long journey? I'm cool with that. Though how they'll get back is a bigger question and a sure-fire adventure.

Asides from that seems like a fun pair to party with.

A vast majority of it needs refining and compiling, perhaps one day it will be a great undertaking for those who bother to. Taking notes of bigger figures in history and using them as a stronger basis from the past is indeed something I'd like as well.

Now pardon me I have to go report some Thoughtcrimes.

I understand who Xanatos is, despite never seeing the show (only because of TV Tropes), but I strongly believe that something that omnipresent deserves, if not a general name that doesn't refer to a specific story or character, perhaps something that's become a classic, or is timeless.
Some of the trope names are, I admit, pretty obscure and annoying. Others, however, get the point across without even the reader needing to know about the source material. A good example of this is the page "Your Approval Fills Me With Shame".
The page is clearly about character A being insulted by character B's praise for one reason or another. The name comes from the webcomic Order of the Stick, in which a character (I won't spoil who) turns evil is jarred part-way back into sanity by Belkar Bitterleaf (who's so evil that the forces of good had to measure it in Kilonazis) complementing them on their decision to switch sides (though the full restoration into good-guyness comes from an asskicking performed by the big bad).
The point is, you don't have to know all that to get the point of the article.
P.S. To avoid getting any more of topic, PM to continue this discussion please?

There are some interesting ideas there and I?ve already got a few questions to ask about the race in particular.

1-If reproduction is the same between humans and Dvati how do they decide who gets pregnant or who?s the father in the sexual sense?
The two are genetically identical, so from a sexual perspective either could be the father. I'm kind of caught between saying that one twin comes from each mother or that one mother carries the twins and they act like humans sexually speaking. Good question!

avouleance2nd said:
2-Is it one being inside both twins? In that case are both twins completely aware of each other? Is it impossible for one twin to do something without the other one knowing it? Do they ever get confused as to which twin is which?
They are literally the same person. If Aleister were to look at them, he would see one soul, not two. They are completely aware of each other in the same way you are always aware of your hand or foot - think of them as like the right and left sides of your body, they just have more air in the middle. As such, one twin can no more keep a secret from the other then you can from yourself. Because their the same person with two names (not two people with different names) the wrong twin will react to one of it's names all the time.

avouleance2nd said:
3-Considering different version of a similar idea are explored by both Prail (with the flyers) and the thief and assassin (arguable two different people in one body) how would she/they react to either of those characters?
Well, she would likely see the flyers and understand exactly what was going on with them on sight (the same would be for Prail look at the pair of them). The Dvati would likely treat Prail as though he/she were Dvati - because she has multiple flyers, she would likely call her many-bodies. T & A would have it even stranger. being two souls in one body, they would look at her as something of an opposite. T & A would likely be even closer to the frightening storied the Elders told them. That said, they would treat her more like an interesting person then a demon (they are out to learn, not be bound by childhood stories of the one-bodies)

Does anyone else have alternate character ideas? Who knows if we get enough we could set up an alternate party. Maybe the two don?t travel together they could even oppose each other in some way.
Please, I could probably populate a party of my own with all the characters that float around in my head ^_^

1-I would say if it's the first option that creates the weird question of what if only one of the pairs was capible of having sex, then surely only one child would be created. As for the second it would be interesting to see how they decided to get pregnant or be the father.

2-Raises another question about the effect of toxins, since I don?t really think in terms of souls I?d wonder what chemical effects might do to them, for example some lallow venoms are created specifically to raise of lower aggression levels chemically. So if one twin is drugged, how would the behaviour be affected, would both twins have their behaviour changed or something else?
Both good questions. I never thought of such things. for the first one, I think that if one became unable to bare a child, the other would always be stillborn - you can no more be born with only half a body then they can without a twin. I think the chemicals would effect both (after all, the chemical creates an effect on the mind.), but it would likely be less potent - being only capable of affecting half of their effective brain.

4-That sounds like a challenge
And I accept

Shall we say a sheet a day until one of us drops?
We can use the tower template since its pretty open and just see how far this goes.
Sound like a lot of fun actually.
Challenge accepted, with one caveat: I have work most weekdays, and my Tuesdays and Wednesdays are hell. One character a day might be hard for me to accomplish. Maybe one at a time until one of us gives up?

Edit: Ball's in your court I believe (unless we want to include Prail)

I'm a bit shorter on blood so pardon me if I don't bother deleting and snipping with me using a pad an all. If you plan on doing a character sheet battle then use something besides the thread itself, like PM's it'd clog this place up after awhile, I'dd say I would join said challenge as well if allowewd, but I'm not digging up my big old OC file that has all my ideas, ity'd take too long to write them all up and update.

As for two team of climbers at once, I considered this and wanted to ask Asc later about doing it acting as a Main Co-Gm. While way back I tried the Tower game as well on my own, it fell flat for some reason =/, now it seems more interests is here, and we do have more then enough people to do a classic 4/4 pack.
[b/]Name: Faunra Scarlet (adoptive name, real family name unknown)

[b/]Age & Gender: 126 & Female (Elf)

[b/]Height & Weight: 5'11" & 116 lbs

[b/]Appearance: Faunra is tall with long dark brown hair that borders on black. Her skin is pale. Her eyes are piercing from a combination of stress and their sparkling emerald green color. She wears a brown and white cloak over the torn rags of what used to be a dress. A leather belt hangs from her waist, slightly too large for her frame. From the belt hang two metal daggers - well cared for and of great workmanship. On her back she carries a long bow that is taller than she is and a quiver of arrows. A sack of various objects hangs over her shoulders. Her muscles are miniscule but tight and wiry, giving her more strength than she appears. She is relatively attractive, save a long scar that crosses the right side of her face and down to the back of her left hand. Her skin is traced with veins of gold, and at the base of her neck a golden orb with a single large ruby in it is embedded in her skin. This is the remains of an amulet (see history) that was murged with her skin after a nearly-deadly explosion.

[b/]History: Faunra has always been a quiet girl. Growing up on the streets where to draw attention can mean death, she learned to always stayed quiet. She and her older brother Biratlort lived on those streets for nearly 40 years. Her brother did what he needed to keep them alive and she did whatever she could to help him whether that was playing the distraction, fencing the newly acquired goods, or treating their injuries. Then one day, their luck changed. Biratlort stole from the wrong man, a thief named Jybel Scarlet. Jybel chased them through the city for hours, until they were cornered in an alleyway. Rather than killing them, Jybel began laughing at the situation. Impressed by their skills, he offered to take them under his wing in his growing "family" of thieves. They accepted.

For 20 years, she Biratlort worked as street runner's and bandits. Then, on one fateful day, Jybel chose to steal from a traveling nobleman. While looting the carts, the nobleman's guards resisted and Jybel was slain. Their leader gone and their lines broken, the "family" fled - most never made it 30 feet. When the first of them reached Faunra and swung his sword, Biratlort interceded. Her brother was struck down, and the tip of the blade caught Faunra, leaving her with her scar. Faunra ran and never looked back. She escaped with only a strange ruby and gold amulet that had cost her family.

For the last 60 years, she has wandered from city to city taking what she needs and skipping town when the city watch finally catches notice. Despite her life so far, Faunra does not enjoy stealing. More than anything, she wants to find a place where she can live and need not steal to survive. Since her brothers death, she has been Hemophobic - the fear of blood. She has seen enough blood in her life that the mere sight of it does not phase her, but when she gets blood on her, it reminds her of when her brother and father died and she closes to the outside world. Despite her age and experience, she is still barely an adult by elven standards - a fact that annoys her to no end.

About 6 months ago, Faunra was approached by a strange man. He called himself Atticus. Atticus needed help acquiring an "Elemental Predominanting Tool" from a well known (and hated) aristocrat - the Marquis of Torinia - and was willing to offer significant compensation for the effort. Despite her misgivings, she agreed. Under the cover of darkness, Faunra broke into the nobleman's home and took the device along with several emeralds as a "bonus". Hours later, in an old tavern, she delivered her ill-gotten gains. Unfortunately, the Marquis was both perceptive and unforgiving; not minutes into the trade, the Marquis personal guard had found them. Ducking behind the bar, the two escaped out the back. Several hours, and most of the "appropriated" gems later, the two were out of reach. In need of a change of location, Faunra decided to follow Atticus on his quest to the Tower of Druaga and a fellowship was born.

[b/]Reason to be here/things to do: Faunra is currently caught between reasons to climb. Prior to the climb, her intent was to undo the events that killed her family using the god-like powers gained at the top. However, in climbing the tower, she has sparked a relationship with another climber. If she continued with her original plan, she would unmake this relationship. She is currently conflicted between her familial lover and duty and her romantic-love and personal desires. She is continuing to climb without reason, because of these conflicted feelings. If asked, she says it is because of her duty to her friends (particularly Atticus who she has promised to help save his level and Damien who saved her life - an action she has yet to repay)

[b/]Personality: Faunra is emotionally closed to people, though she wishes to be anything but. In large crowds, her years of street life take control and she bolts for the shadows, but in small groups she is open enough to converse and one-on-one or in small groups of people she knows and trusts, she is an open happy person. Faunra has lived on the street her entire life so she vastly enjoys even the smallest of luxuries. Faunra is skilled at reading people and dislikes people she perceives as wasteful. She does not begrudge people with wealth or status, but those that abuse the privilege will find their coin purse missing more often than not. Aside from her emotional distance, she suffers from Hemophobia. Faunra has difficulty believing in any higher powers given her life thus far but hopes that her doubts are misplaced and that she will see her family again in the afterlife. She is sentimental and kept the stolen amulet to remind her to be cautious. In general, trusting people is a problem for her so she is generally expecting a knife in the back at any moment. She is also rather uncouth - she has a bad habit of missing social cues others wouldn't and saying perceived truths without thinking of the social consequences.

[b/]Notable skills: Faunra is skilled at many things. She knows how to pickpocket, open doors, disable traps, and sneak her way around. She knows how to lie through her teeth and can tell when others are doing the same; she is very perceptive. She knows how to treat minor wounds and what plants and herbs are good for healing. She is skilled enough with her pair of daggers and bow. In addition, she can usually find the pulse of a city with supernatural ease - she knows everything that's happening (legal or otherwise) the first day she arrives in a city. She knows how to forage for food and can hunt with relative skill in a pinch. In combat, she stays in the shadows and attacks unaware targets. While she can hold her own in a street fight, in a proper fight she would quickly become overwhelmed without support.

[b/]Equipment: Faunra caries the following: Two well crafted, matching, serrated daggers - one of which was her brothers, a recurved long-bow and 2 dozen or so arrows, A set of reinforced leather armor she wears beneath her normal clothing, thieves tools (crowbar, lock-picks, small file, hand saw, small vials of weak acid, etc) a medical kit (Bandages, medical salve, anti-venom/toxin, etc), survival gear (water-skin, bedroll, 50ft of rope, chalk, and flint/steel), the amulet she took, and a small pouch of currency she "acquired"

[b/]Misc: Faunra and Aleister Cole are in a romantic relationship, started on a prior level.

[b/]Note: I deliberately left several plot hooks in the character (Value of stolen amulet? Any crime family survived? Nobleman's name/reason for travel/etc) for GM's to play with if they need to get the party on track. Please feel free to use/abuse as you see fit.
I've already submitted in the old Ooc thread but here's my edited sheet again.

Name: Oubliette Gnossia

Age & Gender:
Female and technically she's ageless but appears grown up if not quite adult.

Height & Weight:
Probably best described as average height and weight. Maybe it would make more sense to say nothing about her indicates she's too short or freakishly tall or for that matter that she's too thin or fat.

Appearance:

Her appearance fluctuates fairly regularly everything from features to colouration are constantly gradually changing not noticeably but it is there. Her clothes are simple for the most part, black and white in most places apart from a single accessory for colour, you can keep track of the day of the week by the colour she wears, going through the 6 colours of the rainbow red orange yellow green blue violet and then having one where she wears all 6 with no black or white.

Right now she's taken to a form of light armour, resembling leather of some beast or another.

History:
Oubliette's history is a little difficult; she doesn't even really know how long she's been alive. However she's heard a story or two very old stories, about the little girl who sought to be worshiped over even the gods, who made herself the object of their temple. And so in their rage the gods delivered their cruellest punishment.

Oubliette would never be remembered, any trace of her even the smallest bit of information would fall inevitably to time and be destroyed.

Forgotten by everyone she leaves the grand city of the gods where she'd spent her entire life and climbed the tower.

Reason to be here/things to do: Over the countless years of climbing Oubliette has had many motivations, her personality changes almost as much as her appearance. In the past she's wanted revenge, understanding, reconciliation sometimes mixes of 2 or more but in truth climbing is by now just a habit, each level an attempt to leave her curse behind and to actually be remembered.

Personality:
Oubliette's personality like everything else is unstable; her curse makes it almost impossible to hold onto a real sense of who she is for too long. However there are a few things that stick, she's a very open person almost to a fault for example her inability to hold on to a secret and desire to be honest also means she never considers stealth or subtlety. When she fights she dam well makes herself known.

She's also very expressive; always passionate her feelings come in bursts short but so sweet.
Notable skills: A powerful psychic Oubliette's fighting style involves a mix of techniques; she's able to control the emotions of those around her for short times, from breaking a well ordered group apart with a burst of rage to sending them fleeing for their lives with fear, one more extreme example is the wipe she can take any memory and completely destroy it only problem is to truly remove her enemies memory she has to remove it from her own as well completely. Similarly the emotional explosions don't exactly chose to hit and it takes a lot of self-control for her not be affected by her own powers.
And finally there's her sword simple but elegant in its design, a hilt with a blade, no hand guards no scabbard nothing even for balance.
This blade is single minded nothing in the way of defence this blade is only for attack, it doesn't even look like it would parry, well unless you count cutting the other sword in half as parrying. There's nothing magical about the blade not a single enchantment unless you count audacity. Her fighting style is fitting of the blade fast and savage with little concern taken about staying alive, after all what's going to kill you if everyone else is already dead.
Equipment:
Apart from the blade and under her normal clothes Oubliette wears light leather armour one of her only acknowledgements of the need for defence. The sword hangs on her back when it's not in her hand and in a messenger bag at her side she holds her only three other possessions, two books.

And a strange device, hard to explain, a small box with an eye in the front. No one apart from her knows how to use it but in her hands, she can make it work one of the weirdest magics. There is a flash of light so bright it can daze you for a while and then from inside the box comes a picture, it has captured the image in the eye.

The curse:
Oubliette's curse is a strange one and it hurts like hell. Basically cause any traces of her to start to decay rapidly. It's mostly noticeable in memories; people find it hard to hold onto her mentally she can spend years traveling with someone, be together every day for a decade and they'll barely even know her, like they've only recently met.

She can pour out her heart to them and tomorrow they won't remember a word. She can't even keep track of herself; while not as drastic she sure feels it having been alive as long as she thinks she has. Her memory is almost photographic; she remembers everywhere she's ever been every single thing that's ever happened but not a thing about herself, her looks her personality what part she played in her own life are all a mystery to her. She won't even recognise any of her own faces, past or present.

Her appearance is probably the most fleeting thing about her. You could be looking her right in the face for hours taking in every detail look away for a split second and not be able to even say what her hair colour is.

Her powers also spread to non-mental records, nearly every source of information on her seems cursed to ended up destroyed before it's time. One of the greatest painters in the tower inspired by her beauty paints her face on a cliff hundreds if not thousands of feet into the air to last forever and that very night an earth quake of strength not seen in living memory tears the rocks to shreds beyond any sense of repair.

Even when she just tried to take her own picture her camera nearly exploded and the picture came out overexposed so you couldn't make anything out.

Also me and ray be running a small bit of pre-Rp using our characters to get one of the other people who?s submitting into the story. So if anyone wants a little chance to meet up before the story starts proper or set up relationships/ explain how we meet just tell me.

We'll start with a blank slate (so balls not in anyone?s court) and so I don?t clog things up I?ll just be posting drop box by constantly re-editing this post with new links to sheets. This should stop it being clogged up and yes anyone else can join us.
And a sheet a day does sound a bit steep how about three a week.
Speaking of my first will be up soon.

Works for me once it's set up invite me.
Or perhaps a Skype group if you on that?
I'd rather keep it on the escapist to make it open to more people here.
