Hmm.. could havea sworn Prail and Zavier are in the library, me thinks you've got a bit of a typo. Not to mention an issue in what is going on.

Hmm, give me a second here. Well, I'm not sure where you got that idea from. Only Zavier is currently in the library. Damien was in there, but after failing to find anything useful walked off, and is currently trying to talk to an old lady who may know something about the dragon. *hint hint, wink, wink Redryhno.* Prail, Veritas and Stonefuse were following him, but they decided to just sorta wait around the corner and mess around in the snow. Stonefuse saw the stature and whoosh.

I found my typo. I said Veritas was in the library instead of Zavier...my bad. Even with that little typo I made, how in the ink did you get Prail involved?

Edit: Found the issue. For whatever reason, I didn't see avouleance's post.

CORRECTING!

Oh yeah, in case anyone cares to use the Guild in any significant background or plot devices feel free to read here for some information on how they work, why they work, when they work, and if your going to get a dirk in your ribs.

The Guild of Cartography-A Primer

Founded quite early on in the Towers history overall, it takes sanction in Saint Earn-Vatar who is believed to be a climber who nearly reached as far as Gilgamesh in a quest to map his very path.
While mostly human they are not at all racist or sexist in any real way, but it tends to be a "runs in the family" ordeal.
It is divided in to three divisions, followed by 9 sub-sections (3 per), 27 minor groups, followed by at most 81 actual groups of climbers/explorers/scouters/etc.
Each division specializes and works together in its own system of both check and balance, each with 3 leaders of sub-sections that basically get a vote. They are as follows...

Protection (or as it goes by Pen)

http://i.qkme.me/6xvw.jpg

<spoiler=The Pen>Formed and often the most trained in of the three, all members one time or another go through this martial course of training. With masters and makers of arms and weapons, this is where the bones of the Guild are made to be used to fight for what they believe is right.
They have everything from Hand-to-Hand, Whip, Crossbow, you name it.
Primary research is weapons and other lethal/non-lethal arms. They are also partially the main police force and guards when it comes to colonies and outposts made by the guild.

"The pen is mightier then the sword, specially when mine turns in to a spear" -Chief of Forge Briar Sallowman

Whenever high rank or honors are achieved the recipient will get there pen enchanted and turned in to a weapon of choice with a great deal of magic put in to it. These are considered rare artifacts and relics in any case of some of the older generations. The design of the pen all members hold is a copy of what Earn-Vatar is believed to have used, and the 9 other minor pens he made are given to the 9 leaders as a sign of office. Each can turn in to a weapon or holds some power.

Inquisition (Ink for short)

http://fc04.deviantart.net/fs13/f/2007/023/8/d/Still_Life__Pen_and_Ink_Bottle_by_GuardianYashu.jpg

<spoiler=The Deal>The Ink is the inner task force that holds all efforts of communication and information as there chief goals. With minor in inner security, and research of magical arts. they are often seen as both Scientists and Magic-Users, and always seen as spies and espionage.

Asides from furthering training in magic and mystery to shroud there agents, rumors are often spread and confirmed for there research in changing the very life force and bodies of those in the Guild. They are in lack of a better word, Biomancers and Xenomancers, and commit (allegedly) experiments upon recently born to further goals of the Guild.

So it is rarely strange to see tails, fangs, claws, and other assortment of features on people and is generally accepted in a positive light, though questions are rarely asked for what lurks in the bars and cages...

Last but not least is, Preservation (Paper indeed)

<spoiler=If it helps>http://fc02.deviantart.net/fs22/i/2007/334/a/6/Scroll_by_Hirokugawa.png

<spoiler=The Deal>A combination of Ink and Pen, these are the archive and real cartographers when it comes down to the works of books and other related material within the guild. Held in high esteem and honors, this is where all the old members go to work in the end quite often. Very open, very friendly, and very deadly when it comes to protecting and preserving master maps and other things. They are currently working on the Tower Map and is constantly shifting piece of magic paper in the shape of a scroll. Those who have seen it in the off chance that are not under this division speak of what a wonder it is.
Effectively this division complies the information, stores, guards, and sometimes gathers and confirms it.

More information provided when needed.

Prail had gotten a little lost.
She?d had the usual looks of surprise and curiosity but those she was used to by now, in fact it was fairly fun at this point.
She remembered her first time in open air cities; it was difficult back then dealing with all the attention. Communication was the worst.
But she?d learnt a lot in her travels.
You could tell she grown, her new found confidence evident in every stride, her tail swung freely as opposed to how she?d used to hold it in her hands.
The scents of the city were wonderful she could tell so much just by the texture of the air. One thing that caught her nostril rings more than anything was the musty sent, old books so much dense knowledge, how could she resist.
Entering the library she noticed one of her fellow travellers and a stranger. Well armoured it appeared. Her sent was complex, like she?d been around. One of the windows above her smashed as the flyers she?d sent out to eat at their last conquest. The taste was almost over powering, a dense mix of different organs and muscles. She be full for a month or so after that.?

I take it that Deveroce's master, knows of Aleister's Reaper Form?
Eeyup, mostly through Deveroce, though the master probably doesn't need him to do this.

Deveroce actually knew about most of the group long before the master came a long, but that was mostly out of curiosity. Wondering who Stonefuse's next masters would be, if Aleister would ever avenge his mentor's death, what rich asshat Faunra was gonna rob blind next, etc, etc as well as a lot of climbers. Now, after a failed fight, he works for this master as a dispatcher. Sending messenger's here, stopping time there, giving information. All against his will.

Oh, the way I planned it, if there was going to be a fight with his Deveroce's master, Aleister would be "killed", then he would trigger the surprise, (A.K.A Reaper Form).

I get the feeling we won't be seeing Deveroce's master for sometime, by which point your reaper form would have become at least somewhat common knowledge anyway.

Just to ask who should I be talking to about my plans for my level? I just thought it would make sense to run it by someone.

Also just to ask is anyone lined up to be the next GM? Becuase if not I'd like to give it a go.
Well, there's me, and Evrant. I think that's everyone.

Naut, how long do you plan for us to spend on this level? Longer than the previous one? Or is this a matter that is going to be dealt within a days worth of RP time?

EDIT: What the hell is happening right now? (In response to your post)

Well, I just gave the entire group one hell of a push. Which reminds me, is anyone gonna need a too-long-didn't-read version of my last post in the game thread? You'll see what I'm talking about.

Anyway, I kinda want to get us on the move, get the journey to where the portal is located started. And as I typed before, I gave us one hell of a push.

How long do I plan to have this level last...hopefully, less than a month.

So now we have to avoid icy shards of death. And deal with a injured lady. Some push, any suggestions as to how we progress forward?

...eeyup.

I am a terrible person.

Don't worry, it'll be over...okay, Aleister knows magic, right? Just try to keep that area safe for now. Not really much you can do.

Edit: Try to get back to Conrad's maybe.

Don't worry, it'll be over...relatively soon. So...we good on your end?
All that has happened, just seems so sudden. I mean, do we simply run?
