I'm up for DM'ing, everything's set up, I just didn't feel like giving too much away in the level showcase a few pages back.

I feel I should mention that I'm going to a LARP gathering on friday, and it will last 4 days if I remember correctly, so I won't be coming online for the duration. But with the reboot and all, I don't see it affecting the game. Just thought you should know.

You know what, just start a new level and forget this. I screwed up, simple as that. Even if I set up the whole separation thing, so what? It'll become irrelevant in a few seconds. Maybe we should just have it set up vaguely, like everything that happened was a few levels ago (for new players and for those leaving). Things went down, we got out, and it will never be directly addressed ever again.

Viking had this thing planned, but he hasn't posted in forever, so fuck it. And sorry Evrant, the dragon thing is a dud. Maybe next time.

But the way you had it planned it was really going to be really cool, and I hate to leave this level without some form of closure.

I've had a lot of "cool ideas", sadly I tried stuffing most of them into this one level. Well, it wasn't too bad for my first time as a GM but I think I'll stick to your casual player for awhile.

I might try at again at a later time. Most likely when things come full circle.

I disagree. - I think it is/has been going well. Admittedly, the forest was mostly unneeded, but that is a relatively minor concern.

I vote we have a short flash-forward to escape the spiders - maybe use the secret elf army to explain away to defeat of the spiders (just make sure Faunra doesn't see them or else she will start asking them questions)

This will bring us to wherever the portal is (presumably the bad guys base) where we have it out with the final bosses (two underlings and pseudo-Mark).

I would also make a quick list of the goals you need to accomplish on this level (find/fight dragon, find portal, separate group, whatever you had planned with Evrant, whatever you had planned with the elves thing, etc) and see how to connect them in the shortest number of steps while still seeming rational. If you need help with this, feel free to PM me the list of goals - I'm pretty good at that kind of task because of my pre-planning GM style.

I thought about something like this, but figured everyone would be more eager to get on to another level. If you guys want to do it, I'll get started.

I'd just like to mention that I haven't internet at the moment, so I won't be posting until further notice (currently at a friend's house)

I'm doing this quick and dirty while my internet is stable, but can we finally decide once and for all who the hell is GMing next level?

I've checked over to be sure and so far I have two votes...

Sorry. I've been preoccupied with other things.
Don't be afraid to ask for help, we still need to decide on the next GM, between me and Red, neither of us are plying GM at the moment I believe.
Actually I think Framed and Avo are gunning for it too.
Coulda swore they said something about not doing it in the OOC chat for some reason or another, at least not yet.
Maybe I'm the crazy one. Anywho, there's more than one person jockeying for GM next, so I do believe we need to set it in...stone? internet...something?
We really do need to get this said, done and over with don't we? Shall we post up our level summaries and notifiy anyone else vying for the spot to do the same in this thread, like last time in the OOC.
yeah, I said that I'll let you guys go first and if we're voting then I personally vote for Ray first. We do need this decided.

Also has anyone considered....

Starting A TV tropes page?
No. TvTropes is fucked. They'd have to completely restart it.
http://www.youtube.com/user/CrazyGoggs

Please don't.
I looked at the youtube link but would you mind expanding on your point a little.
Also would you then consider a wiki instead?
From Avo and Mr. Does anyone else want to put themself up for the running or wish to withdraw, I believe the only other person at the moment is Redryho.
From these two choices or if you ad your own, post who you decide for the next GM.

<spoiler=Redryho Level>A land of forests and ashed plains, the few cities scattered are only slightly less dangerous than living in the wild, and the skies are all stained a different color, depending on the city. Behind walls of pipes and steam, the City of Storms lies on the eastern-most coast, and is home to many legends. A ship that comes into port, sometimes bringing with it travelers, sometimes coming in with no crew at all. It simply drifts into dock, and after a few hours, heads back out to sea. It has no set record, and all attempts to board, capture, and sink it have ended in disaster from it defending itself. The only thing known for sure is that it has no crew, it is an enigma where it originated from, as the markings on it are alien to the cityfolk, and its weapons are startlingly destructive.

Inside the city itself is a talking tree, a former climber that the townsfolk revere as a keeper of wisdom, he/she answers because nigh immortality is a boring thing without some kind of entertainment.

The gate to the next level is heavily guarded and is known by all of the level's inhabitants.

A strange killer has been stalking targets at random, the only correlation being that each of them are found in large public areas, and are still alive in the most horrific of ways(impaled by numerous pipes/arrow/implements, skinned alive to roast in the sun, strung up, moments from death, and all in the area are forced to watch the display) Only a few have even caught a glimpse of him, and they describe him as death and evil incarnate.

The government is run by a sect of witches and their guardians, some born to other witches, most born to the working class. Their guardians from birth know exactly where they are, a special bond connecting the two.
To sum this up in my own words, a Steampunk Setting with...A tree of wisdom, a ghost ship, a government cabal of witches & guardians, a strange killer on the loose (horrific acts and attacks).

<spoiler=Raynoson Level>Alrighty mine is The Earthed Ocean. A land torn asunder by a magicians blunder, harnessing power and making a plan, he strived to understand the tower as a mere mortal man.

His hope was to create doors or portals to reach other levels by force, like redirecting a rivers course. He failed and what was once a green lush land, became desolate and covered in sand. Oceans dried and creatures died, and few things survived. Though survive they did and darker things came unbid.

Things grew lighter and winds grew fiercer, civilization was oasis to oasis marked by towers obsidian black, slightly translucent and hard to crack. They seemed to take in the suns light and lit up the frigid night, warming all and making the darkness bright (think a full moon).
Underground was now the place to be safe and sound, with water aplenty and building material always ready. One might ask why sand does not fill the caves? The answer is simple, magic... At certain points fountains of sand some small, others large, pour to the surface, carrying all that enters it sky wards.
For here magic was once wild and free, but now it is grounded in man and beast alike.

Royalty of blood rules as the greatest power, with an even stronger force to cause others to cower. Bazaars are bizarre along with the knives, those with ability to tinker in mortal lives. Entrances and exits are plenty to all, though danger lurks if you answer its call.

A vast desert, gravity changes in areas, massive caverns, cities strange, and royalty deranged to give my level in a few words.

I'm ok either way.
Prail still is't in much state to fight, but it would be a shame not to finish on a boss.

The mystery of a strange killer sounds like it will be fun; although Ray's level is also interesting.

Ray, a question for you, would Aleister's own magic be affected in some way throughout your level?

Also a suggestion for all, whichever level does not get picked, shall we make that the level after the one that does?

I'm not telling any of the plots and sub-plots going on, but yes your magic may be affected at some points, and used in many more ways then simply killing things. I only gave details on the background and the general things you'll experience and see, not anything that you'd be involved in or otherwise get tangled up with. Considering that this level will be the time skip and addition of new characters, I'm not aiming for insane combat or anything, mostly character building and relationship standings.
