Probably Uncharted 2. Not in in terms of difficulty, but more that it just came across as uninspired. The rest of the game was so fresh and bright and compelling that the standard fare of "Run around and shoot backwards occasionally" was just a disappointment.

Devil May Cry:
The whole game was nothing but intensely hard boss fights, and then the final fight gives you awesome super powers (not to mention the scrolling shooter aspect of the first half of the fight). To top it all off, the boss comes back in an even easier form.

Kingdom Hearts 2 springs to mind.
Xenahort was a pushover. The fight is thematically impressive, but I'm never really worried throughout it. It was a rush the first time, but because of challenge, but just because the whole thing looked badass. However, I guess the real "final boss" of the game should be counted as Sephiroth, and he remains as awesome as ever. That fight was all kinds of great.

Probobly been mentioned. But Borderlands. So, so easy, and ends from such a high to such a low.

I'm going to have to say Wesker in RE5. I was hoping he was going to be an awesome boss battle! But nope, I killed him so easily it was ridiculous. -.-

Demon's Souls made you work so very hard to get to the end of the game killing you and forcing you to update your tactics on bosses just to survive. At one point they even summon other players to your as a black phantom to kick you ass for one stage's end. The last area is a disappointment in comparison to the awesomeness of fighting the Old King boss.

Lost Planet 2's last boss fight was okay, it was quite easy to beat. though it was epic so that makes up for it. (then again I was on normal so I dont know what Hard mode is like.)

I agreew ith the OP's examples. The Joker fight in Arkham Asylum was pathetic. The Human Reaper was impressive, but didn't put up much of a fight. In fact, I can't remember if it even attacked me. It certainly didn't do much.

AvP alien campaign boss fight.

Heavy attack, heavy attack, heavy attack!

Because the attack is so fast the predator is still stunned by the time you do another heavy attack

I can't really name too many disappointing boss fights because they mostly are disappointments to me because i tend to somehow find exploits which make the bosses laughably easy.

As my above comment would suggest i guess.

The Archdemon in Dragon Age. It was just a dragon.
So, ignoring the lead-up of the army of Darkspawn, and Ogres, killing the Generals, repulsing a wave of Darkspawn at the main gate, and then the final battle between you, even more darkspawn and the Archdemon.

If you still have enough Health Poultices, or Lyrium Poltices for Wynne by this time.

I think your in the wrong thread to say "Tragically disappointing"

Maybe if you weren't playing on Casual, then it would have been a little more challenging. I for one have completed that game 3 times and still find it somewhat taxing. Try a harder difficulty if it's too easy.
It wasn't the difficulty is was the way bioware decided the way to end a "dark" "fantasy" "epic" was, 'fuck it, put in a dragon'.

I'd have to say The Mother in Dragon Age Origins: Awakening. She herself had quite a lot of health but no decent attack, so all you had to do was wittle away. The keeper AoE abilities kept the tentacles at bay just fine and no children, disciples, darkspawn or anything else appeared, just her and her useless tentacles - I never even healed. I spammed Anders and Velanna and she was dead, never looked up from my tank (Warden-Commander). At least against the Archdemon I needed to use Wynne's Revival thrice (me once, Morrigan once, Leliana once), even if I eventually beat it first time. Mind you, it was normal difficulty, but still.
