So, you're suggesting Spector is now going to vote properly, having concluded to no longer be bullied by people?
Bullying never works, unless you can back it up with genuine coercion - and that's banned in polling stations.
You can see people who say they vote right or left, and yet talk about issues in a way that makes it plain the party they are voting for does not best match their beliefs. There may be good specific reasons (such as strong single-issue voting) for them doing so, but sometimes it's just not having really worked things out.
For instance, some people - especially when younger - tend to simply conform and superficially absorb the attitudes of the people around them. If they don't really believe in it though, they're eventually likely to have to have a period of conflict where they assert their deeper beliefs over the superficial. People can also end up voting erroneously by tradition: people who stick with a party even after its and their values have diverged to the point they need to divorce.
