Blake glared at Marcus after he'd issued the orders to the heavily scarred mutant. Ignoring his impulses to lash out, Blake focused on staying alive. "A hummer?" He asked Marcus and Ford. "So that means we're stealing something from the Foundation?"
Blake grinned, checking his beretta to make sure it was fully loaded. "Good," he finally said, "Those men are forsaken. We--" He was cut off by a chilling screech reverberating around the dome. The gunfire outside suddenly stopped, sounds of bullets pattering against the airship dying abruptly. Just as suddenly as it had stopped, the gunfire resumed again, but this time accompanied by seemingly more desperate cries than before from the soldiers. They were no longer firing at the airship either.
Blake popped his head up to view the chaos below. Illuminated by the flaming foliage was a humongous spider, much bigger than the ones they had been facing so far. The Foundation soldiers were firing everything they had at it, but nothing seemed to be causing the raging creature any hassle.
Turning to Marcus and Ford's questioning looks, Blake sighed. "The Queen's up, "He said flatly, "now's our chance."
Without waiting for them to respond, Blake ran down the rest of the stairs and down the corridor to the to the entrance of the airship, and the rest of the group.
