I like exploring every inch of the environment but if there are enemies in the room if I'm in a shooter I snipe if I'm in an RPG or melee action than I bowl my way through. I kind of alternate my style depending on the game's specific demands/environments but all around I'm a treasure hunter/explorer.

If the game has an awesome knife I'll sneak around shivving people.

If not, I'll kick down the front door and repaint the lobby.

I explore, but more for fun rather than to find shit.

Team loner, I'll help my team, but off to the side.

They rush a base, I'll flank around back and kill enemies there, once they figure out I'm there I'll start throwing explosives and shooting to make it sound like there's a bunch of people back there.

I <3 stealth games and I will restart the mission (or even the system if there isn't a retry option) if I'm so much as spotted. It takes me forever to finish a game like mgs or hitman but I always end up doing it perfectly in the end and it's very gratifying. I also tend to explore every corner of the map searching for collectibles. Sometimes, my need to find collectibles surpasses my need to finish the mq (feathers in assassins creed 2).

genocidal. i love killing things with big weapons that are surely overkill for the situation.
like in battlefield-i COULD kill that guy with my gun, but i DO have this rocket launcher. lets see how high his ragdoll flies.

plus, i love picking up a great big gun (minigun usually) and walking into a room with it and murdering everything inside. miniguns work well for this.

I love keeping stealth until everything falls into place, then I grab one guy, shoot the other in the head, snap his neck and roll into cover while shooting wildly in the direction of all known enemies maybe killing one or two, broadcasting my position to everyone so they come running. Then I hide and repeat.

Yeah... *Sniff* Epic stuff right there.

Erm, you read at least the actual question right?

From achievement hunter, I just presume that you are an exploration type person.

However, what STYLE OF PLAY?
LOUD, STEALTH, GENOCIDAL?
I did all caps those words in the first post. I would really appreciate you if you read it. Thanks
Sry bout that, answered in a hurry. As you said correctly, I am the "exploration" type.
I try to understand the game mechanics and use whatever tactic is the most beneficial for optimal gameplaying, so I can be stealthy in one game, and all rush in another.

I'm loud in real life when playing a game I like. (I could rip sound barriers when playing New Super Mario Brothers in VS. mode) But seeming I only have three choises here. I like the loud choise. Ramming into my enemies before they are able too shoot. Like I did once in Halo 3 with a hammer. I didn't care, it was co-op and it wasn't my game.

But I like combinations or tanking a bit more than just running or sneaking. I like it when I outsmart my opponents with wit and tricks. Just to see the one clever enough to beat me.

I explore as much of a level as I can, and I suppose I am stealthy, it is really dependant on the game, for instance, in Prototype I run around disembowling people and body surfing, but most of the time I do prefer stealth.

I run in, usually with a big gun that makes things explode, only covering one angle, meaning I need a team with me to provide cover and be successful.
And then I usually forget about the team.

Is this survey based on FPS games only?

If it is, then I'd probably choose Stealthy.

My favourite game to play, FPS-wise is old Wolf:ET. I'm a Covert Ops! And I love stealing a Nazi uniform and sneaking to the back of the base, detecting mines and avoiding capture and randomly causing havoc with smoke and sachel charges without getting caught.

If I'm in the right mood for it, I like setting up a defensive position with the largest, bullet-hungry emplacement machine gun and going to town on anything that moves. So I guess that's ... genocidal?

No good game will prevent me from charging in Rambo-style.
I'm also thorough and will kill every last man, woman, child and ************ even if they're not in my way.

1)I like to try & take out each guy one at a time. Works great with games like Goldfiner, but it's impossible with games like Serious Sam.

2)I explore everything. I will even play a full run in invisibility or god mode just so I can admire the graphics without gettng distracted by the game. lol.

3)I'm stealthy & I like rye toast.

Go in guns blazing and id possible a sword is my primary weapon.
For me I always attack ANY places where I can get a better gun or money for better gun etc.
And multiplayer Im the only fucking one who knows what theyre doing.
And lastly but not least I am really never EVER pissed off so I can easily focus on what Im doing.

Hmm... well, you dont only just have to choose out of the three. It can be a combination of any play styles and if I missed out on any type of play style, just name it. Oh and I love outsmarting my opponents. Especially in fps games where its man on man, you see each other and things get interesting. You choose within a second how you plan to kill the other guy, do you run around him? Wait for him? Spray and Pray? Its these situations where outsmarting the opponent is the best feeling to me.

I like going in all guns blazing but sometimes i take the stealthy route when its the most efficient way to go. i never look for all the collectible in games i think its a waste of time.
Although i do achievement hunt occasionally so i have something to show for my hours of playing

Well personally I don't want to give tags to people. But there is more than just sneak, stab or roar. It would be easier if it was: Offensive, Defensive, Assisting, Avoiding, Dealing with Area's, Setting Traps, Fight in Groups, Fight Alone and there might be more.

I've met players who usually take something or someone with the most range. (to hit and not being hit) Others try everything to render their opponents immobile so they can beat the snot out of them. And there are player who want to see their problems go away in a final BOOM!

It just goes a bit deeper than that in my opinion.

I'm quite a strange specimen actually.
I love the action and frenetic fun of blazing into an area with a gun destroying life wherever I see it. And yet I'll still enjoy the odd bit of puzzle solving as long as the game is SOLELY about puzzles and doesn't interrupt my murder sprees.

I also don't often play for challenge unless I'm trying to push myself, otherwise I mostly just go for easier difficulty settings. Usually this is in story heavy games like Mass Effect or Bioshock where I want to take my time and explore the depth of the story and world I find myself in. For this reason I love me some RPG's.

Finally when it comes to story and especially characters I like to deeply study their behavior and history until I feel I get to know them a bit. Of course usually this is only in RPG's but the fact that I made a huge retrospective of the Elites in Halo should be a testament to the fact that I love analysing stuff.
