The following sentence is true. The previous sentence is false.
ok...

that would be an effective weapon.
Once you said it the robot would try to figure it out, causing their heads to explode, it works best when a hive mind is involved

usually I would rattle off several strategies involving nukes, EMP, direct energy weapons, paradoxes Etc. but now thanks to Daniel H. Wilson I can point to this book

We all know zombies are gonna be the apocalypse.

OT: A virus, EMP or paradox would work. Or dump lots of water on them so they rust.

Why perfect humans? They're still useless against machines.

Whether these perfect humans can lift 150lbs or 250lbs, they can't over-power a machine that can lift up a car.

What was need is a giant EMP nuke, or to try and negociate terms. (I want my bionic body...)

didnt the empire try that trick?
I don't know what you're talking about sir, because those films NEVER HAPPENED!

... I still lol'd though.

OT: I'm jumping on the EMP bandwagon. Failing that, conventional bullets. I don't care if they're robots, we just pump them with enough AP rounds and they'll go down, the only possible problem a machine war could ever have in store for us is that the robots, being immune to morality, would have no problem with masse nerve gas deployment and other atrocious methods of warfare.

Apparently you can defend against EMP's though, an uncle of mine worked for the electronics company Marconi in their RnD department on exactly that. I would elaborate but that's litterally all I know on the matter.

The EMP and Gauss rifle

Actually, magnetic weapons in general would be the best bet

Riiiiight.... what's all this EMP nonsense? As stated by three other posters, sentient machines with hyper-intelligence would realize this weakness and construct massive Faraday Cages [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Faraday_cage].

Honestly, read up on EMP before jumping on that bandwagon, folks.
