I don't know... She's one of those character's who hasn't died yet (no matter the decision) and other than her 1 episode appearance didn't she feel a little inconsequential? I'm putting my bet on her. She just seems to fit the role of returning character too well.
It's not a matter of "Clementine glad to see someone familiar still alive", but it's more about "Clementine is surprised that "this person" is not dead". and Molly doesn't fit that surprised reaction.

EDIT:
After a while it got me thinking, could it be Victor, the guy that you can give water? Because to make that decision make sense is he must've survived.
Also the wiki entry agrees that he's not dead yet

Oh shit, I forgot about the St Johns. I really hope it's not them, for Clem's sake. D:

If I we're Clem I would either kill it straight away or just move forward. Seriously - a dog in a woods after a year and a half (I think) of a zombie apocalypse? Common sense, guys?
As much as I love animals, I'm inclined to agree with you. Finding a dog that looks like it's been guarding it's family's campsite for over a year and then trying to share food with it was amazingly stupid. I get that Clementines a child too, though, which is why I'm not so angry about it. Plus, people with pets are usually more educated about those kind of things from experience, and I'm pretty sure Clem didn't have a pet, which would make her even more clueless about animals and how viscous they can get over territory/food.

I think I would've simply avoiding the campsite after seeing the dog, since she didn't get the knife until after she'd played with it. Before that I think she was pretty much unarmed.

Long story short: Don't mess with dogs in an apocalypse unless you're an adult with a weapon.

OT: I was kind of disappointed with the start. Maybe it's because I really liked Omid, but killing him off that early and then making Christa that cold towards you just didn't seem to do justice to their characters from Season 1.

I liked the solo bits, and I like that Clem has become a lot tougher than season 1 as well, but I wish we'd seen more of that growth instead of a "16 months later". There are just so many unanswered questions in that long space of time that I think would've been nice to explore. Like, "What happened to Christa's baby? (besides the obvious)", "Did they bury Omid?" "Did they find out where the girl came from, or if she was with anyone?" "When did they make the decision to go north?" "How far did they get and did they meet anyone on the way?" Stuff like that.

I'm also kinda torn with having a new group this soon, and not getting to know them before the end of the first episode of season 2. I get that Clem is really young, so she'd have to get with another group sooner rather than later (And she was injured, so there's that). On the other hand, this just means possibly more of the same from season 1. Where decisions become more about the group as a whole and not just Clementines story.

I'm looking forward to the next episodes all the same, I just hope it answers more questions. D:

But after thinking for a while, I don't think it's the Brothers, because you can kill both of them. Is the preview for the people who killed both of them the same?

Auto-flagging doesn't exist. However pointing out that you know you're supposed to put some effort in your posts and still don't makes the chance of being wrathed a lot higher. So don't.

Your original reply was safe already btw...

I thought it was excellent.

That part with the dog, man.....fuck. I went to feed the dog those beans, but hit the wrong button and Clem scoffed the whole lot down, and the dog made that depressingly sad whining noise and I was all "What the shit? I meant to feed the dog! Look at the little guy? Christ, I fucked up hard!" And then he attacked Clem, and I was pissed. So I save-scummed and fed the dog. Who ended up attacking me anyway (Understandably though, what with it more or less having gone somewhat wild), and Clem has to fight him off. I fucking love dogs, and attacking back was hard. Then Clem shoves the dog over the log and onto those spikes. I lost my shit. Chose to put the poor thing down, put the controller down and balled my eyes out for a few moments. That shit was hard to deal with...

Come here.

*hug*

It's ok bro. I know how you feel. It was all of the feels. That dog deserved better. He played frisbee with me. His name was Sam. He really liked baked beans. It's fine though, after all, all dogs go to heaven. Shhh...

That's a good point. It's possible to play Season 2 without your season 1 saves, I think, so would they have to incorporate both choice paths anyway?

Which would please me, since they really scared me. Not even the violence bit, but because how that logic would probably make sense to quite a few people in that situation.

.Also, that teaser at the end. "I thought you were dead." I'm 99% sure Clem is talking about Christa, but goddamnit, my mind jumped immediately to Kenny. Telltale is really milking "OMG GUYS, KENNY MIGHT COME BACK" for all it's worth.
I immediately thought "Lily". Since she drove away with the RV.

However, it could depend on choices made in the first game. There was no way Kenny could've survived in mine since he was stuck in an alley with zombies on all sides and he used his last bullet to mercy kill Ben.
There's still a chance it's Christa but Clementine's reaction would have been more happy if it was her.

Anyway, guys... I cried when the dog got impaled and seeing a Let's Play where the player wasn't sure what decision to make (leaving Sam there whimpering in agony) was torture. Anybody who's watched their pet dog die I'd expect to have their heart strings yanked, too. Especially when they've seen what dogs are like over food/toy aggression and know that the extreme situation he was in would've amped it up to 11 with Sam.

We had two Jack Russells and our surviving one has a leg scar from when they had a brutal fight over a ball, both were very loving, friendly animals up until you dropped a biscuit crumb between them. Then there would be some severe Mortal Kombat style dog fights going on.

I'd rank Clementine's treatment of her wound as even worse than when Ethan cuts off his finger in Heavy Rain. Seriously made me wince.

Eh, not that disappointed that Omid and Christa are gone, never really liked them. The only characters in the first game I liked were Lee, Clem, Lily, Carley, Molly, Kenny, and Ben.

I really like this episode, though I wish it were longer. Either way, I couldn't leave the dog to die a slow, painful death. I also fed it. I actually went back and tried all four choices to see if the dog could survive somehow. Doesn't work. I honestly wouldn't put it past Telltale to have some obscure way to do so. Like say, a very specific set of choices from the first game, but also extremely unlikely ones. As well as doing something almost no player would actually do. Namely burning the photo of Lee. Probably not, but it would be cool.

I don't like this new group, with the exceptions of ballcap, possibly-bitten dude, and nice brown-haired guy...yeah, I don't remember their names. I think the doctor was named Carlos? Oh well, I especially don't like the pregnant one. I don't know, everything about her interactions with Clem just scream "I don't like you because you are a female stepping into my territory." Also she apparently cheated on...Alvin, was it? Is he the fat one? I have a very negative view of cheating.

I saved possibly-bitten dude, because he probably isn't actually bitten. And between him and his nephew, I like him more.

Also, yeah. That scene with Clem stitching up her own arm? Really painful to watch.

Tell that to the 1 sentence replies I've made in the past that should have been perfectly fine but were still flagged for "low-content", I still have the warnings on my account.

I am intrigued as to where this season will go, but at the moment, I need more connection to the new survivors. By the end of the first episode of season 1, I knew their names and knew which I was going to like (KENNY) and which I was gonna want to kill (LARRY). This season, though...I'm not so sure. I don't remember all of their names (who was the guy with Pete who found Clem after the dog attack?), but I do know that Rebecca is gonna be a thorn in my side, Carlos is gonna be untrusting and paranoid about his daughter, but Nick...Nick I have no idea about. I forgave him and saved him (I kinda liked Pete, but he was bitten so he had to die) but I can see him still being a dick. Letting Pete die was probably a massive step backwards in our friendship, but I really, really don't know.

Okay, I actually remember more of the character's names than I originally thought, but I need more episodes, Telltale!

Also, I still feel pretty bad about not giving that dude water, but he was responsible for me not being in Christa's company (much preferred Omid, but I wanna know what happened to her baby. Miscarriage due to grief, perhaps?), so he ain't getting my pity.

As for the 'I thought you were dead' promo...I instantly thought of Kenny. BUT the rational thinking me thinks he probably died due to there being a minimal chance of escape and his family being dead giving him nothing to live for, so I'm gonna go for the dude who I refused water or Molly (I swear she got surrounded in my playthrough, did this happen to anyone else?).

Actually saving Pete actually saves both of them in a way, because Nick then flees into the forest, and in the preview Pete is considering to amputate his leg.

And what's with people with "he's bitten, he's dead to the story", Lee was bit but he was badass after that... >_>
and to make things worst, some people (in youtube sadly) thinks that choosing Pete is the "wrong decision".

Amputation could possibly work but it would have to be done immediately, at practically the same moment as the bite.

Though I hate to use it as an example, how the Soldier's arm was taken off in the World War Z movie.

If not the mega-dose of zombie virus, and lord knows what other infections the dead could be carrying, would be too far into the bloodstream to 'cut out'.

Or actually it could be a member of the family of cannibals from Chapter Two of Season 1. In the "Previously On..." section they showed Clem asking Lee if they were all dead, seeing as that scene wasn't all important to the overarching story of season one and they made a point of showing that snippit I think we've got a survivor from the farm.

I can't imagine it being one of the St. John's since Lee can get everyone of them killed.

Maybe it could be Andy at a stretch, if after being electrocuted he somehow came around quickly enough in order to escape the horde of walkers descending on the farm.

Personally I am hoping for Kenny but expecting Lily.

Telltale have been hinting at Kenny, not only with the trailer (making good use of the design of a character in season 2) but the whole house screamed Kenny at me. From the Duck painting, to the Gone Fishing sign to the boatshed Clem was kept in.

If it isn't him then they've certainly fooled me good and I'm kind of okay with that.

I think I figured out why pitchforking the one St. John didn't keep. Wasn't the choice at the end counted if you killed both of them? So if you spared one but killed the other, the game might've rounded up to you saving them both.

For what good that does.

Hate the new controls, but that mostly because I went from playing 400 days straight into Season 2. Kept getting killed cause I had no idea what to press.

So if Clem was 9 at the end of season one, and its approx 16 months later she is almost 11 or maybe 10 1/2.
