Well, if it's as hot as in Lahore, Pakistan, where I lived for a couple of years, where the average summer maximum is 42 degrees Celcius (108 degrees Farenheit), then yeah, you can certainly show us heat in Texas.BehattedWanderer said:Hahhahaha. Haha. Ha. Heat wave. Come to Texas, boyos, and we'll show you heat. Been hot hot hot three weeks now, and hasn't rained a single drop since December.
It was pretty damn balmy wasn't it? Ten minutes from my house to the pub and I thought I would actually die of dehydration.Alucard 11189 said:Today in england it was pretty hot. Oh god yes. Half way through my journey I was ready to just pack it in and catch the bus, but my friend promised she would buy me a drink if I made the entire journey. I told her to make it 3, and she agreed. So it wasn't a complete waste of timeZantos said:It was pretty damn balmy wasn't it? While we haven't gotten up quite that high this year but once, we have stayed in the high 90'F range (about 33 to 37 C) for extended stretches, and it's getting hotter still. But, fair enough, your heat could show ours a few tricks.starslasher said:Well, if it's as hot as in Lahore, Pakistan, where I lived for a couple of years, where the average summer maximum is 42 degrees Celcius (108 degrees Farenheit), then yeah, you can certainly show us heat in Texas.BehattedWanderer said:Hahhahaha. Haha, no worries. I'm not saying that Texan heat isn't uncomfortable, I'm pretty sure that it is. It's just that the area where i was living, Pakistan/Northern India has literally some unbearable summer days. There have been cases of people dying from heat stroke when the temperature went over 50 degrees Celcius (120+ in Farenheit)!BehattedWanderer said:While we haven't gotten up quite that high this year but once, we have stayed in the high 90'F range (about 33 to 37 C) for extended stretches, and it's getting hotter still. My sympathies to those in that kind of heat--it's most definitely not fun when it spikes that high. Our highest was about 110F (~44'C), but the conditions at the time drove relative heat up to the 120 range. That was a miserable few days, and I can imagine bearing that as a consistent issue.starslasher said:Haha, no worries. I'm not saying that Texan heat isn't uncomfortable, I'm pretty sure that it is. But thankfully i'm not living there. I'm in Perth, Australia, where the summers, I would speculate, are more comparable to where you live.
