If by "the consequences" you mean "the chance that someone would read the article, post it on /b/, and have an all-out raid lead to the site being taken down," then no. We had no way of predicting that. I remember coming across the bloody board long before this article was even pitched; back when I was on digg, I remember someone posted a link to a similar message board with a whole bunch of posts from one user. That site went dark, but one of the commenters mentioned the bloody board, and while I was researching for this article, I remembered it. After that, a little googling got me to the website.
