If the wii had a proper controller, I'd play mine more. But, I barely use it and very occasionally will there be a game I buy on it. The last one was Monster Hunter Tri.

The reason why I haven't gotten rid of my Wii yet so far is because I still have some games that I might want to play on it. Hell I've held on to my N64 because every now and then I get the craving to play some of my Pokemans (I never had a GB so I had to play through Stadium).

You know what gaming system is really useless? The Gamecube. The Wii can play all the games it can and then some.

I still have it, but I haven't played it in about 6 months.
I can't bring myself to sell it, I still need a Mario fix every now and then, so it still has its uses.

I've only been playing Super Mario Galaxy 2 on mine for the last few months, I haven't used it as much as I used to since I started really using my Xbox 360 more, that won't change with the upcoming releases of Fallout: New Vegas and Fable III. The main problem is that I haven't seen any games I want on it for ages...

Well I couldn't get Galaxy 2 due to exams, so I'll be picking up that next week. Also, when I'm back to college there'll be many a game of Mario Kart or Smash bros. Those games are unparalleled for playing with a bunch of friends in the same room.

So basically you are saying, that you are refusing to play a legimately viable console, and to play some legimately fun games like Zelda, and Umbrella Chronicles, but you don't want to play it because you want to fit with the "in crowd" and bash the Wii....ya, you are probably alone
Nope. I hadn't even considered playing it. It just never occurred to me...and that is kind of my point. I didn't stop and go "I could play the Wii, but I don't want to", or as you put it I "don't want to play it because you want to fit with the "in crowd"". I just found the realisation that it was there all along and I never even thought of playing it confounding.

Oh, and it's "its uselessness", not "its uselessness."
Yes I do realise that it is "it's" uselessness, I just didn't grammar check my headline!

Oh and the irony that you got it wrong yourself correcting me mean no more Grammar Nazi-ing for you!
Actually no. It's is an abreviation of "It is". If you think I'm wrong, look it up and apologise.

As for the wii, I hate the gimmick games but the serious ones are okay, when you aren't forced to do stupid gimmicky things with the controls. Zelda is awesome and I had a great time with mariokart. Wii was sold ages ago, though.

Wait...I'm too hungover for this? So I was right originally? Am I apologising? I was wrong somewhere anyway...my brain hurts.

I like my wii, personally I prefer it to my PC(that being said all I have on this is a copy of Spore and WOW which I no longer use)though tbh my PS3 takes top priority, I use my wii for a week or so to play the occasional metroid or mario kart but then it gathers dust for a month while I play the PS3, then after 3 weeks of the PS3 the cycle continues, I think my brain has been hardwired to this kind of thinking because this is how it's been going since I quit WOW

I had resi 4 and recently tried to replay it, only to find out that I'd actually lost the Wii, it has been over a year since i played it last but how do you lose a console in a small terraced house?

Well I stopped playing my Wii because I got my 360 and decided to use that and my computer for gaming. I guess I don't apply since I have something else.
I did the same thing when my Wii killed itself. When I got it back I had a 360 to play on and I just don't fancy playing the Wii. Maybe if I played it with a few friends then I'd get more use out of it, but it's just not for anything else but party play.

Resi 4 will always be a good game though.

The Wii has never interested me the slightest, and now it is completely useless and outdated. And it is still the best selling console :)

The only reason I don't get new games for the blasted thing is because they update the system which deletes the homebrew stuff I installed... the stuff that makes the bland SSBB actually fun with all the weird gimmicks I can add. If Nintendo would allow the homebrew channel, I'm certain I'd buy more games and play the damn thing more...

As it stands, I'll stick to Left 4 Dead 2 and Portal (Portal 2 when it comes out).

EDIT: PC versions mind you. I can't stand that dual-analog bullshit about with the FPS games on the 360 or PS3.

I had a Wii for 6 months, played it for 2. Sold it when I realised the games out at that time were basically all it was ever going to get, and I was mostly right.

It may be the cheapest console, but it's over-priced and you still get suckered into buying a million controller add-ons; one of which makes the remote do what it should have done to begin with.

My wii was gathering dust (a patch stopped me from using an imported copy of ssmb), but then I found a copy of no more heroes in a bargain bin.

I pretty much only use it for the classic games. I got Punch Out, Super Metroid, Star Fox 64, Mario 3, Mega Man 2, and Super Mario World.

No, it's not. It's wrong with the apostrophe in. With "it's" the apostrophe is only used in the shortening of "it is" and not to imply ownership. Since your title falls under the latter category, "its" would be the correct choice.

I personally can't understand how one can see it as a waste of time and money, because there are a large number of quality games on it.

Go buy Metroid Prime Trilogy, or Red Steel 2, or No More Heroes. If these games don't appeal to you, fair enough. If you're refusing to play them for no good reason, then you're an ass.

This is why it pisses me off when people jump up and down for No More Heroes on the PS360 when it's on the Wii and they don't fucking buy it.

Classic Controller Pro bro. Works on a crap load of games.

Agreed that it should have done that to begin with, but I doubt anyone here has more than two peripherals for the damn thing.

1) A gun shell
2) Wii Motion Plus

EDIT: I think the thing is, if someone were to hand you games OP, if you had nothing to do you'd play them, and the chances of enjoying them are probably pretty high.
