The Wii is Epic!

After all this time we spent ripping on the Wii I think we should be nicer! The Wii is already hanging out with the wrong crowd. Those casual gamers (don't take this too seriously) are so messed up. Do you want him going down that path? I'll start listing some positive remarks!

Well online multiplayer is really fun, casual gamers tend to suck. Almost everyone I played guitar hero against was playing on easy mode and they still failed the harder songs, and this was "on tour" which is more like rock band. Prepare for the rocking out of your discontent!

So I challenge you, how many positive remarks can you make about the Wii without lying to yourself. Try it, it's harder then you'd think.

Sigh. There isn't such thing as a casual gamer. It is just a title given by the people that dislike others for having different tastes. I like the Wii. But I don't care if you do. So I don't have to give it positive feedback. As long as I like it, it doesn't matter.

The wii's controls are very creative...that's about it.

It's... well, it's got MadWorld and No More Heroes. The Conduit was okay I've heard. It's also got that Metroid Trilogy coming out. It's not a bad console, it's just a been painted the wrong colour by the media. The gaming media, that is.

I think the Wii's online is pretty good for a quick blast on Mario Kart.

I like it's looks.

Motion control doesn't really bother me, I prefer playing things that don't need it, like Virtual Console games (which was a great idea).

I like the Wii's D pad the most.

I like the browser.

I like the weird/random music it plays whilst it does stuff.

the wii is good because it has emulators and homebrew and basically can have what the pc already has.

edit: basically everything nintendo doesn't want the wii to do, I think

Super Mario Galaxy was, and is, a brilliant platformer. Wii Sports Resort is a ton of fun with friends. A lot of good games exist on the virtual console. Madworld exists on the Wii, as does No More Heroes.

But I'm just listing games here, if you want positive remarks about the hardware I'll say what was said way back when the Wii was launched. It has - still - the potential to shape gaming into interactive experiences that may, eventually, become truly interactive.

But in fairness, I can't think of many more for the other consoles either.

Fair enough: It has creative controls, fun titles, great downloadables, local multiplayer (something too many games are missing these days), is great for parties, and remains one of my (and my family's) favorite entertainment systems, despite the fact that "hardcore gamers" like you label it as "casual". I don't think the Wii is a casual console, I think that's how it's being marketed and used.
