Anyway. The Wii is way better than the other consoles for being social. It has more games that you can play with friends without getting stupidly good so you just beat them every time.

Fair enough: It has creative controls, fun titles, great downloadables, local multiplayer (something too many games are missing these days), is great for parties, and remains one of my (and my family's) favorite entertainment systems, despite the fact that "hardcore gamers" like you label it as "casual". Seriously, isn't it all just about how much fun you have with it? And I have a lot of fun with mine, so please, stop mindlessly bashing it.

I don't think the Wii is a casual console, I think that's how it's being marketed and used.

I'll repeat this again. It isn't the games, but the gamers. You can play MGS4 and be a casual gamer if you don't spend a lot of time on games. It means you don't put a lot of effort in it.
I'm a casual chef because I cook sometimes, but I don't go out of my way to do it well. I suppose hearing casual gamer trolling over and over wears down it's meaning though.

I'll give it to the Wii that it never ever ever breaks. But thats it.

Most of the games suck, the controls aren't intuitive, and no matter how much you defend them, they aren't original.

Great first-party titles, well-to-do motion controls that surpass any on the market thus far, some amazing 3rd-party titles (No More Heroes, MadWorld), as well as the Virtual Console and the best free online service available. It's small, portable, backwards compatible, and is generally appealing to the eye.

That wasn't so hard, and I could damn well keep going. Maybe if all the Yahtzee fanboys actually picked up a Wii and played some games for more than five minutes, they'd realize that the Wii gets a lot of undeserved hate.

Yes, it does have shit tons of shovelware. Yes, the controls are not perfect (although the hatred on them is SEVERELY incorrect). Yes, most of the good games are first-party. Whoopdee fucking do. This does not make it a bad console, and it does not warrant blatant flamebait threads.
