Bioware slowly died after the EA acquisition and is now only a name with EA developers and no one that actually made Bioware what it was is even there anymore... If they can bring in some new good talent and not have them hounded by time constraints, forced budgets, and investors brining in their stupid opinions then they could possibly make a comeback...
Aye. I've only caught a snippet of what happened, but I didn't really enjoy any of their games after Brent Knowles left.
Do you know how long has Mike Laidlaw been there at all? From his interviews and promo videos he comes across as the veritable teachers-pet, *****-boy who will bend over and take EA's big fat one up him if it means progress. Some of his speil sickens me "well what if we did this? or introduced clown-like darkspawn? And scrapped everything that requires half a brain? wouldn't that be "cool"?"
I dunno why, but it feels as if he's been a massive ball and chain on game development. Maybe it's because he's so overly enthusiastic about elements of the games which totally ruin them.
