It's all in the title - what would you like to see from TW3?

I'd personally be happy with a larger version of TW2 - perhaps with more branching. More to explore and larger landscapes would be nicer. I'd also like to see more monsters. If flashbacks come back...I want them playable!!

Roche and Iorverth are must-haves. They are both such awesome characters.

I don't think you need to worry about Roche and Iorveth not coming back, far too major of characters to drop off the world. Of course one or both will likely bite it halfway through.

A bit more breadth to the actual length of the game would be appreciated, that's actually one of the only ways I think the second game fell short of the first. The first had you running around five or six distinct chapters with various areas, and while I realize that the second's areas were much more detailed, it just seemed a little thin.
I'd actually appreciate a bit more mysticality in the third as well. The second seemed very rooted in the mundane world and its problems, and to be frank I miss the lady of the lake / Alvin type side plots from the first.

Shani. She was quite a big part of the first one and then went strangely awol in the second.

I can't say what I want without spoilers because it's all lore related....

Catch up with the Wild Hunt, find Yennefer, get his bloody memory back, sort out his shit with Triss (he keeps bleating on about Yennefer being the love of his life while banging Triss and everything else with 2 tits that looks his way) .... and I still want to kill Philippa Eilhart.

Obviously some of those have already been dealt with in the books but I want to see how it plays out in the game.

Just...more Witcher. Witcher 2 was really excellent, so just keep the tone and quality level and add more stuff.

Wouldn't mind if they fixed looting/inventory management though, it's still a chore.

aye, while it is a chore, i pray to god they don't go the me2 route. Although agree, just more of what witcher 2 was pumping out, just with an updated world after all that happens and finally figuring out the rest of geralt, give him an end story. (not the world, just him. a proper conclusion)

I don't want them to streamline it into non-existence, but as it stands it's not a pleasant experience so something needs to change. Fussing about with 73 different kinds of flower and trying to figure out whether it was the 17th bolt of cloth or 23rd harpy tooth that put you over your weight limit is not charming game play. Witcher 2 was an improvement over the first game in this regard (as in many others), but it still has a way to go.

Basically this.

And of the monster slaying expeditions in Witcher 2, the ones I enjoyed the most were the ones you had to plan out. Laying traps for Endraga queens, crafting an anti-Kayran tentacle snipper, that sort of thing. So more of that would be cool, especially since Witcher games have so many mechanics tied to preparation.

Aside from "just give me more Witcher"?

Longer durations on oils and potions, make them more potent as well, make traps and throwing knives cheaper to build. If you're going to give us preparation busywork, might as well make it rewarding

Oh right, and MOAR DWARVES!

Edit: It'd be nice if the next game gave us a "group style" equivalent early, or they didn't force us to fight hoardes with Geralt's rather "1v2" natured fighting style so early

Shani wouldn't have fitted into Triss's role in 2 without MAJOR rewrites to the story.

I want more of Witcher 2 gameplay pretty much.

Story wise I want to see where all the plots lead to,especially The Wild Hunt, the war vs Nilfgaard, the Triss/Yeneffer "thing" that you have to choose(really want to see where they will go with that).

There is -a lot- of content that they could do more once Witcher 3 is done. There are a lot of books that they can inspire new adventures from.

My heart literally broke in half when I had to choose only one to follow.

More than anything else, I want to see it set in a Nilfgaardian province. They are depicted as being the big Roman-empire of The Witcher universe, yet we know next to nothing about them. So yeah, a Nilfgaardian province with Nildgaardian politics. Just not set in Toussaint, I don't want French accents galore.

Also, I'd prefer it if most characters from The Witcher 2 didn't return for the next one, save for your little circle of friends (Triss, Dandelion, Zoltan). Maybe continue chasing the Wild Hunt for Yennefer as well?
