So, we got another trailer for The Wonderful 101 from Nintendo Direct.


This is, without a doubt, my most hyped game from E3 so far.

Viewtiful Joe, Okami, Bayonetta references (see if you can spot them all!), a superhero theme, a lot like the Avengers?


It's like Platinum Games read my mind, and made a game just for me.

The sheer over the top campiness, the art style, the character designs.

It's new, it's fresh, it's Viewtiful Joe, mixed with the Avengers, mixed with Pikmin, mixed with Gurren Lagann!

This is the best game ever!

Now I'm finished gushing, what are your thoughts on the title? You hyped? You better be hyped.

Looks awesome and worth getting a WiiU for, sure, but it wasn't the best thing at Ninty Direct. No, the best thing was definitely "X":


Oh yeah, that game has all of my want. Any game with sweet mech combat is good by me.

It's not Mirror's Edge 2 level for me, but goddamn it's close. Looks really, really fun. And it's Platinum, how can people not love it?

I dunno, I like the idea and the presentation but the actual game part seems kinda janky. Maybe the touchscreen will sort the issues I have, but strategy-esque games have never really been good on console and this looks like it might have lots of the same issues.

It looks more like an action/brawler game where you use the touch screen to pull off the special attacks than a strategy game.

We can hope.
They've shown off a fair bit but honestly things are still kind of up in the air. Worse comes to worst it'll control like Pikmin which was fun, even if it didn't control great.

It's a kamyia brawler through and through. You can use the right stick to active specials instead of using touch as well
