Nearby, a young redheaded lass stared at the crashed car. "That'll be hard to sort out..." She decided it would be smart not to get involved in whatever was going on for now. That didn't stop her walking over to the car and starting to examine it.

Lester stumbled back over to the group.
"I'd really appreciate it if...someone could...carry...me..."
Lester then lost consciousness and slumped to the floor. The gash on his forehead was quite apparent.

"Sir, yes, sir!" She quickly blurted out.

"Hey, hey, easy, dude. Don't cut her head off or nothing, we're just gonna talk a little." Ribbon walked over to meet Maria, then swung her arm and cracked her in the jaw with an elbow, putting her straight to sleep. All she really needed to do was touch a person to put them out, but in a fight a lot of the time it's pretty hard to reach out and stroke a person's face, so Ribbon had been training her elbows. Ribbon was an easygoing gal, but getting shot at for no reason was one of those things that did just enough to irk her a little.

Violent revenge aside, Ribbon was pretty interested in talking to this strange nun, so she gave her a little slap in the cheek to wake her back up again. Picking her words carefully, Ribbon began her interrogation: "What the fuck, dude? Why'd you try to kill us?"

"It was me, Austin," Maria said in a daze, "It was me all along!"

The towns people of Sawthville looked at all these people until someone broke the silence "Welcome to Sawthville. Named after the last words of our founder." Said the Sir from earlier.
Iowa looked at Maria "I don't think they accept that as a form of currency around here."
A couple of men got up and fixed up Lester's head gash and then left a bill in his clothes.

"Then..." Maria shook her head slowly to get her mind in order, "I'll pay them in gold, myrrh, and frankincense...Good hook, by the way."

Another girl tapped Ribbon on the shoulder. She was somber, with a dull expression on her face and a quantity of eye shadow that was absolutely criminal, most likely in a country that had shortages of the stuff.

"Excuse me, but I've been tracking you all for a while. I'm going to need that girl on your shoulder. Mostly to kill her. Partially to talk. But again, mostly to kill."

"Who the heaven are you?" Maria slowly said.

"Technically that was not a hook. That was just an elbow to the face." the man commented.

"I'm with the Department of Trashy Women Elimination, and you came up on our list. Just business, ma'am. All I need is your reasons for looking how you do and I can have you metaphorically bite the bullet, and then be physically shot by one."

"The getup? I stole from a nun then modified it. Easy peasy."

Cait looked up from the car and stared at the new arrival. "What the fuck did I walk into?" She sighed and slowly took a wrench out of her bag in case someone needed smacking.

"Maria something or other. That's your name. Although that getup is religiously offensive to me, the Department's opinions are not my own. Luckily they intersect this once."

 

[Demonjazz]

There was a gruff policeman who walked up to this Helena "Mam, I'm going to have to ask you to leave."

"Department? Are you trying to get me for back taxes? 'Cuz you can tell Joey I paid him back in full already."

"There's something to be said about someone who steals from a nun." the man commented, not seeming all that concerned with who lived and who died at the moment.

"Give her a lick, see if she's lying," Ribbon suggested. "Hey, top-hat, I've gotta ask you something; are you the dude who was trying to blow us up back in the forest a while back?" People kept trying to kill Ribbon and her gang for reasons she didn't understand, and that didn't sit quite right with her. She resolved to get to the bottom of this.

"Sir, I have all the papers and licenses necessary. This is all legal business."

She turned back to Maria, very tempted to slap the habit off of her, yet finding the strength to not.

"It's because, in the Department President's words, 'She sucks.' They give me the job, I kill you, my roommates and me can eat for the next two weeks."

"If you are referring to me, Ma'am," She turned away from Maria to her carrier, "That was a separate group that was at least making my job easier. Or it was David from Accounting, the fucklord."
