The worst achievements of all time

There's one in God of War which you get for dying enough times that it recommends the easy difficulty setting. I mean if I wasn't trying to get that, I would probably rage quit.

Nope. I've got 48 of 50 MW2 achievements. The only ones I missed are multiplayer. I have no friends.....

I'm honestly surprised no one mentioned the Dead Rising "7-Day Survivor" achievement. Essentially for those whom haven't played the game, in the game world on hour is about 5 minutes of real time... so let's so some math here...

5 minutes x 24 = 120 minutes
120 minutes = 2 hours
2 hours x 7 = 14 hours

Now keep in mind that is 14 hours. STRAIGHT. No Saves- no checkpoints. All or nothing. Further, the game mode you are playing, Infinity Mode, you have to keep Frank West fed. Which means you need to rummage around the zombie-infested mall, grabbing food and camp around - for 14 goddamned hours. Oh and don't think pausing the game works- that pauses the game clock too.

And the kicker? It's a 20-point acheivement. To put this in comaparison- EVERY single achievement in Dead Rising is 20 points.

I loved those, but I'll admit I'm masochistic. Or biased. That's one of my favorite games on the 360. In the case of games I love, any achievement that makes me play it more is fine by me, although I completely understand why some people don't like it.

Spec ops missions are hard but not impossible

for me it is "seriously 2.0" just because of the amount of time i would have to put into playing Gears of War, its not difficult, just monotonous.

i'm not that bothered about it. don't really have the time to get involved with online multiplayer stuff. got a degree to get! thanks for the concern though

There is one game that has an achievement for pressing the start button.

There is an achievment for pausing the game.

In FairyTale Fights (don't ask me why I played it; at least I didn't buy the game), the trophy's name is "Lazy Bastard", or something like that. It's won by...drum-roll please...sitting in the village for fifteen minutes without doing anything. You're rewarded for NOT playing the game.

Any online achievement.
It's unfair to the people that only have a Silver XBox LIVE account.

Only game I've seen that handle (reasonably) well is Banjo Kazooie - Nuts & Bolts, where you could unlock some of the social Achievements like sharing blueprints and uploading screenshots by just saving lots of blueprints and making a lot of screenshots.

They mess with my completion record, it's so frustrating.


That rant aside though, Bullet Witch gives you 1 GS for completing the game on the hardest difficulty setting.
Yes, I have that game at 999 GS, and no I will not go through the hardest difficulty.

Any achievement that has a value not ending in a 0 or 5. They are stupid.

achievements that give you gamer points that dont end in a 5 or a 0, i dont want to end up with 1002 gamerpoints i want a nice round number
