Youtube's a bad one for sure - I get daily "commented on your comment" messages because i said on a troll's video it was good he got banned...because a lot of people agreed with me and voted it to the top comment
Seriously?

It cannot be 4chan (or more specifically, /b/) or Youtube,
I wrote it in red bolded text and everything.

EDIT: Or were you being ironic? Detecting sarcasm over the internet is not my strong suit.

After people started donating to a for-profit organization so that they can send their representative and market themselves at an event I pretty much lost all respect toward you guys.

Imdb, Cracked and most religious forums I've seen, that includes atheists, are pretty horrible as far as communities go.

I believe this thread is about online communities, not administration. At least... I don't think Yahtzee's little vacation had anything to do with the community. It wasn't my idea.

edit: crazy, yeah, guy who posted below me. That post alone warrants installing a +1 button to this forum.

The Half-Life 2: Episode Two forums have gotten pretty stale due to the lack of Episode Three info and the TF2 forums are a battleground of "THIS GUN IS OP, HURR!" or "THIS GUN IS UNDERPOWERED, HURRR!" and the like.

Worst though would probably be a CoD community, due to all those god damn brats.

Oh, and on the note of the first paragraph, what the fuck is it with all this My Little Pony bullshit? I see GUYS who have MYP avatars! Ponies are for 8-year-old girls! D-:<
Press the red button, do that and you won't ever be bothered by ponies again. Go on, under my avatar, the button, press it...

The forums for Dragon Nest all it is a whiners, trolls, and people think they are part of some master races... I really can't look at those forums without losing all desire to play the games...

Minecraft forums can be kind of bad some times usually around the announcement or release of an update. A whole lot of entitlement and resentment in that lot. Though I cant say they're all too bad.

inb4 Gaia Online.

From personal experience, and also for being somewhat part of the fandom [small](actually I'm just trying to avoid a generic answer)[/small], I'd say the Spyro the Dragon online fanbase, specifically the DarkSpyro.net forums. A franchise loosing it original developer, become a franchise zombie, and getting two reboots has a habit of causing wars among fandoms. :/

The Runescape community. It used ot be a frinedly little place, and once the game's community deteriorated into annoying kids, assholes who made fun of others to feel good and trolls, the forums community survived. It really was a brilliant place, full of awesome people, awesome threads, and a real sense of community.

But that changed when 2011 came round. Some changes made to how the forums were handled marked the death of the community as trolls managed to flourish and junk threads thrived. Most of the decent people left, if they hadn't already.

I used to be part of that community. It saddens me to see it now.

The Amazon music forums. Never has there been a group of bitchier, more self entitled douches in the entirety of the existence. You can't ever admit to liking anything without at least three people responding with derogatory nicknames (her her, you like Panturda) that sounds like something a fifth grader came up with. Every single person is one mention of a band they dislike away from a complete rage-fueled melt-down, and there isn't a multi-page thread there without three different flame-wars and a dozen minor *****-fights.

Never, ever, go to the forums.

I'd say it's a close tie between the Team Fortress 2 community and the IGN.com community. The former for it's recent reaction to new players joining in (really guys?) and the latter because of the rampant fanboyism that goes on in the forums. If a game gets a low score, it's fans get mad. If a game gets a high score, fans of it's competitor (there is ALWAYS a competitor) get mad.

I understand that the owner of this site does give to charity and exposes blatant resellers and cheats on Etsy.com- BUT- the forums on there are incredibly mean-spirited. You can't read OR post there without joining. And the site is funny sometimes, so I joined their forums and literally abandoned them a half-hour later. It was too much raw hate and ugliness for even me to take.
I know that there are a lot of poorly made things on Etsy but not everyone is out to sell some cr*p because they think people are suckers. Some of them are just not very good at what they are doing. Best to be delicate rather then crush people's dreams for fun.

Cracked has just the worst "fans". You would think that people who didn't like the articles would just not look at the site, but nope.
