I'm not talking about feelings or anything like that; I mean ACTUAL pain. Like, "Ow I stubbed my toe" or such. So, what is the worst physical pain you have ever felt, and were there any aftereffects of the injury?

For me, it would be when I seriously sliced my left index finger open on a kukri. There wasn't that much pain because I had severed nerves as well as a tendon. I had to have surgery and take about 10 weeks of physical therapy to restore movement to the finger, two sessions a week. My arm was bound in a cast to prevent me from moving it and re-severing the tendon. The wound still gives me some trouble; I can move the finger perfectly, but its awesomely scarred and its shorter than my right index finger.

Since you are relatively new, I suggest you use the search button before making a thread that has any chance of having already been done in the past, as this one has. It's next to your messages and Profile settings.

Cheers.

Since you are relatively new, I'll tell you that it's common courtesy to leave a link if you must deja-nazi. Here, [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/18.117662#2231763] I did your job for you this time.

The worst that I can recall is when I had two cysts, one on the back of my head and one on my neck, and the doctors had to numb them in order to remove them. Now, it hurt like hell to barely touch the suckers, so when they stuck the needles in it fucking hurt. Afterward, they removed it while I was awake, it didn't hurt because I was numb, but it felt really weird having my eyes covered while doctors cut them out. The one in my neck looked just like a little silver BB, to the point that the doctor even asked me if I had ever been shot. I may be exaggerating the pain because I was younger at the time, but it still is prominent in my mind. Oh, and when I was 8 years old(I think) I broke my leg then walked on it for three days because my parents weren't sure if it was actually broken. That sucked.

My appendix burst and it caused sepsis. That was the most pain I've ever been in.

Ok, thanks for the information. I was just trying to help out with the new new guys. I wasn't telling him to use the search button in a way that would make me seem like I was rubbing his naivety into his face, as most deja-nazis do, just giving him some advice that I thought he could use without trying to insult him.

Oh yeah, you were very polite about it, which is more than I can say about most deja nazis, I was just letting you know that the only way that being a deja nazi is even remotely tolerated (I don't do it myself, this thread and front-page threads notwithstanding) is to leave a link to the thread in question. After all, if you can't find it, you can't very well harp on about how they should have, right?

Probably when I was taking 80Mg of isotretinoin everyday for two months. If the fact that my skin pretty much start excreting toxic shit, my blood being filled with it, and my bones feeling so heavy.. Oh god the headaches.. I was practically abusing pain relief near the end.. And got the finger when my heart stopped pumping right for a bit.. >.>

(Not as bad as most of the stuff.. But it lasted a lot longer.

umm FRICKIN OWWW!

anyways i snapped my arm and tried to get up on it. yea, also the dick of a doctor spent a good minutes trying to reset it. it wouldn't of been bad if the morphine he gave me didn't wear off after my hour nap waiting for the dick to get back over it me.

This. Aside from anyone who has experienced a horrific shrapnel/limb removing war injury, a ruptured appendix is the most painful experience any normal person will experience. It beats out shallow flesh wounds, any broken bones, concussions, any STI, a small number of cancers and being mentioned in a Zero Punctuation review. It is absolutely horrible. A good and detailed, yet hilarious representation of a ruptured appendix:

My friends and I play a game similar to the kids game "bloody knuckles" just we head butt each other until someone gives up. It's terrible when one person is too stubborn or stupid to give up.

Whatever, just wash your hands.
I guess the worst for me is a tie up between the idiot dental surgeon messing up with the pain killers from my wisdom tooth removal (I had general anesthetic but no pain killers so when it wore off and I woke up I couldnt do shit hurt like hell) and getting local anesthetic injected into a wound right next to my eye (I was jumping on a trampling under a tree and looked up and bam, one of the branches sticks right into my tear duct and had to be removed by a surgeon)

Playing football (aussie rules) for 2 months with cracked ribs. Not that bad in comparison to some others here but fuck when you play midfield and you're expected to run all day and then some little fuck comes up and give you a sucker punch to the exact rib, and leaving you completely breathless and immobilized while the bastard just thinks you're soft. Painful.

The worst pain I've ever had involved an epidural injection directly into my spine. When it hit the target nerve root, my entire leg felt like it was being horribly burned.

My worst pain had to be when I burnt my....stick shift. I was naked and turned into a lamp without a shade. Not fun
