I've been lucky enough not to suffer any serious injuries. The most painful that sticks out in my mind was when I'd been on holiday. We were going through the airport to collect our luggage, and went up an escalator that had been switched off for the night. Well, I tripped on one step and bashed my knee, and of course, it was one of those huge, metal ones with the jagged edges. I was in so much pain I literally couldn't move for around five minutes. I was just on my hands and knees and staring in shock at the floor.

That caused a lovely huge bruise that stayed for weeks.

I've dislocated my knee....twice...

It felt like someone took a brick, wound up and smacked it into my leg as hard as they could...

A couple of years ago I had a large abscess (a pocket of infection) just over my right hipbone and I couldn't even sit up because it hurt so much. Anyway, I got into the hospital and they performed surgery on it in order to drain it. They stuffed it with a LONG strip of gauze in order to absorb what hadn't drained on it's own and left the incision open. I had to get the gauze changed twice a day.

They would remove the bandage, just grab hold of the small portion of exposed gauze and start pulling, no anesthetic, nothing. After that was done they'd let me rest a little before putting the new gauze in. I still have a little scar and a small portion of collapsed skin over my right hipbone though it's barely noticeable.

Once I twisted my hips the wrong way when moving some furniture which pinched my sciatic nerve. The pain didn't start until a month later. I have never been in more pain. It is an indescribable pain... the best I can compare it to would be like somebody trying to split your femur in half longways with a hatchet. I was taking about four vicodin just to fall asleep, it did almost nothing for the pain. I had to be dragged to the bathroom, crawling was impossible. The pain persisted for about three weeks until a chiropractor made a house call. Luckily, he was a family member. It took about three more weeks of treatment for the pain to totally go away. I wonder if anybody here has been diagnosed with sciatica and has ever experienced anything more painful?

Got hit in the hid with a stick...A very pointy stick...I blacked out for a bit actually and didn't feel anything...Turns out my body just wasn't registering it...

Then I was an idiot and looked into a mirror...Yeah the pain hit me like a ton of bricks...I then threw up from a combination of that and how gruesome and bloody I was...I had just eaten too...Needless to say I was taken to the doctor almost immediately...

The stick had dug around my eye leaving a crescent moon shaped series of cuts and puncture wounds...Blood pouring down my face mixing with the tears and sweat from running around outside...The whole works...Turns out I narrowly missed two actual serious injuries...If it was to my right a bit, my nose would had been smashed...If it was to the left a bit (Like 2 cm), I wouldn't have been able to see out of my left eye ever again...

Needless to say, I don't sword fight with sticks any more...

One of my teeth needed to be removed but the gum had a little infection right under said tooth (what a coincidence!). The anaesthetic that the dentist gave me didn't work so she did it again. Still didn't work. So I had to endure what felt like an hour (though it was probably only 5 minutes) of this woman rotating my tooth because the little S.O.B just wouldn't come out! Was the first and only time I have ever cried at the dentist.

The initial tooth-ache caused by the damned tooth was quite hellish too. Took my own special combo of pain killers to sooth it.

Funny how having a tooth removed is the worst pain I have ever felt... considering I have a tattoo... haha.

Worst Pain? That'd be when my intestines perforated (small tears), causing the toxins to seep into my body. Couldn't walk straight when I walked in to the Emergency room, I was hunched over at a ninety degree angle. Then of course they had to stick me in the butt with morphine and I couldn't voluntarily give a urine sample, so TWICE, they had to insert a catheter (UNCOMFORTABLE TO SAY THE LEAST!). Then after the surgery, dealing with the pain pf having a 14-15 inch incision going from my gut down and the staples they used to keep it closed. I looked like I had a bloody zipper on me for two weeks. It took months to recover.

Yay Crohn's!
Crohn's huh? I have the same thing and damn do I hate it! I had a resection when I was 16 and they used the staples on me too. As well as a catheter since they used an epidural on me to kill the pain and I couldn't feel anything below the waist. Damn that was embarrassing to walk around with >_>

I went to the beach for a day, used sun screen, but still got 2nd degree burns on my shoulders. I had to go to the doctor to get this cream to put on it, and then they had to put bandages over it. The nurse decided to put tape onto it to hold it in place. The next day it had to be removed to put more cream on it. My skin had regrown and was stuck to the tape. So when they pulled it off, it ripped off all the new skin.

Needless to say, I don't like the beach anymore.

When I got gastroenteritis. The gas cramps were crippling and to add insult to illness I had to drink nothing but Gateraid for two weeks. That stuff is vile. I hope I never get it again.

Can't really think of anything, although the funniest (not at the time) was just after I'd had a piss. Caught my cock in my fly and expletives ensued.

I got caught up in barbed wires. I hung there for 5 minutes. The pain was unbearable, I don't even want to remember it.

Appendicitis. Nothing like having an organ explode in your body and release caustic poison into your abdomen. This followed by highly invasive surgery. I doubt many people here have felt more intense pain. The doctor told me that there have been mothers who had it who said it was worse than labor. Yeah. That fucking painful.
