I was playing Jak 2 today, and came across the part where all these COMPLETELY FUCKING IRRITATING boulders fall down at you. Each one is practically impossible to avoid, and once you FINALLY finish it, you end up at a ridiculously long pit with buggy platforms above it, and when you fall down, BAM, you're facing the boulders again.

I found this to be the most pointless part in any game I've ever played, and it happens to be on the one that's by far my fvaourite console game.

Are there any other pathetic sequences in awesome games? (PLEASE don't say the borderlands ending)

The uncharted worlds in Mass Effect. ME is like, my favourite game next to fallout 3, but the side quests are SO REPETITIVE. Land on uncharted world, look for debris and anomalies, go to objective, clear a bunker or building, one of 3 almost identical templates, rinse, repeat. It's only good for XP grinding.

Are you allowed to declare "/thread" yourself?

I'm pretty sure someone else has to quote your post and then /thread it.

I would have done it for you had you posted "when NANOSAUR ended."

The Killer Croc section of Arkham Asylum. Why the hell would you put such a boring section in an awesome game like Arkham Asylum?!

Pretty much all of Resident Evil 4. Every single new area I come into I say to myself "Ugh, I hate this part." And yet, I love it so much.

Whether or not Star Wars: The Force Unleashed was an awesome game is something that varies from gamer to gamer, but for me, it was pretty damn sweet, so I'm using an example from it without remorse.

The second visit to Raxus Prime was one of my favorite missions in the game. Disrupting the Ore Cannon was fun, and battling PROXY (using the combat module of Darth Maul, no less) was downright awesome.

But then they had to go and ruin it when that awful "Bring down the Imperial Star Destroyer" sequence. Honestly, I had high hopes for this part of the game. In the months leading up to its release, just about everyone saw the concept art featuring Starkiller dragging entire starships out of the sky with only the Force. It should have been the game's high point, the moment when you truly unleash the power of the Force.

Instead, it was turned into a highly frustrating minigame. An awful moment, made worse by the fact that it could have been so much greater.
