The worst save. Ever. Of all time.

I saved my game for the 134th time, just in case something goes wrong or another dragon comes out of nowhere, killing my horse or making me accidentally grill villagers with fireballs, damaging my reputation.

Save first, mess up later. I got a lovely horse and I very much would like to keep it alive.

So, what happened was this: When i reloaded that particular game save, my horse was on the other side of the river... rivulet... little flowing water thingy. No problem, I thought. Then, somehow, the horse got into the water and was swept down the - not even too impressive - waterfall and killed instantly.

Yeah, the next time I loaded it the horse was on the right side of the river again. Funny. I almost broke out in sweat because the last save prior to that one was before a lenghty session of just riding my lovely horse cross country.

Mine was mostly about failing to save. It usually went something like this:

In Pokemon -version-, I was playing for a while, caught a few good pokemon and finished some big things. Then I was just walking around in tall grass and I see a -legendary pokemon-! I don't have any good poke-balls and it runs/dies. I have to choose whether to lose a couple hours of good gameplay or never be able to catch that pokemon.

Pokemon was a *****...

I've had two of the worst autosaves/quicksaves ever.

One where I was clipped into a rock and couldn't move.

And one where I was an already fired exploding ball of fire away from being thrown backwards off a cliff.

Yeah.

I saved in the middle of a fight with a Draugr Death Overlord.

He FUS RO DAH'd me into the wall, and then hit me with a power attack as the killing blow.

-Reload.

"FUS RO DAH!" *get blown into wall and killed*

My brother saved the game right as we were entering a room in which you get an instant game over on an old X-Files game. We were on the 4th disc.

Far Cry 2. I Saved manually whilst driving in my jeep, because it'd been about 20 mins since i last saved. Unknown to me, Some Mother ***** on a hill with a rocket launcher, had just fired his missile at me - which at the time of save was about a nanosecond away from my car. Tried re-loading it 7 times, each resulting in BOOM.
