Made it through middle school. Trust me; with MY middle school, I'm glad I even made it out alive.

Another would be beginning digital drawings, as well as finishing my Halloween drawing.

Completed year 12. Yeah, it's 2 years late, but whatever. I also built a gaming PC almost all by myself too, with no previous experience with PC hardware. That was harder than year 12.

EDIT - Oh, I got my license, that would be number 1.

A sett of GCSE result I'm pretty damn impressed with (especially with more to come), not having a nervous breakdown from stress at times, got back with an ex (for us to split a few weeks later - maybe I should just drop romance, I can't do it properly :p), and got the ball rolling for a band.

Gaming wise... Getting Painkiller (haven't played it much, mind), got Minecraft back in March, getting and finishing Oblivion (as best you can) finishing Borderlands (yeah, no that much)and finishing the single-player in all the MW series in the space of 6 weeks.

Well, I'm still alive and relatively sane, and that's something for me (literally).

Other than that it's been a fairly unremarkable year, almost everything I can think of that has happened has been bad in one way or another. If there were high points they aren't sticking in my mind.

I hope things turn out beter this coming year.

)rStrangelove]I finally changed my daily food in such a way that i'm loosing weight just like that, without having to fight over every kilo. 12 kilos lost this year and counting ... i'm actually looking healthier than i did 10 years before.
That's awesome, congrats. I practice basketball and have been stuck on a weight for a while. I hurt my shoulder and i was told to rest from sports for 6 months (About two have passed). I thought i would gain a lot of weight if i stoped exercising but i haven't, so i guess that exercise wasn't doing do anything for me. I'm not overweight but i have stubborn middle body fat.

Expanding on my previous [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/18.331769-The-year-is-ending-whats-your-greatest-accomplishment?page=4#13463996] post in this thread, there are two other 2011 accomplishments that I feel I should include.

The first is that I held down a job for more than a year.

The second is that I didn't have any sort of an emotional breakdown in this job. Yet. :p

and to think 5 months ago i didn't even know what a switch was
they are giving that certification just for showing up,i think i have 2 or 3 different cisco certifications and i still can't figure out wtf to do with them !!!
yes the CCNA is not much worth
but it's a stepping stone to the CCNP which will be worth a lot if you're trying to get a good job in that field... even more so if you specialize

Met my gf, ex now, for the first time last summer. Got to see her only 2 time's but those 2 days were absolutely amazing :) easily the best thing this year. Why is it an accomplishment? I had wait 2 and half years to meet her, when we first hooked up. Had a lot of things happen during that time.
Does that really count as a GF if you only met two times ?

OT: i moved in with my gf ( after 3months of dating ) we have been together a year , and thigs are still going well . She wants to get married at some point . So i guess i acomplished finding someone that loves me for me and that can endure my personality !

Other than that,i made friends with my hot new boss , we get along really well , so i don't even have to kiss her ass to get extra priviledges ! (Although i'd litterally kiss her ass is she asked me to). Plus she says im her favorite .
forgot to mention I was in an on and off long distance relationship with her for those 2 and half years. There were a lot of things said between us that no one else knew. It was a gf/bf relationship, the best long distance can give that is.

This year, I overcame crippling depression. I lost the girl I fell in love with; the girl I planned on marrying.

I was heartbroken and torn down. I had reached rock-bottom and didn't see any way of pulling myself out of it. But, here I am, nine months later, doing better than I ever have in my life.

I worked my ass off trying to get better, and it payed off in so many ways.

So, what have I accomplished this year? I've bettered myself in almost every single way.

Came out as a homosexual, good times.
Good for you man
Thanks bro. That helped me feel good about me'self.
while i think its awesome that u did that i have 1 question , why does society have such a problem with homosexuality?
Muiltiple answers, one is against religious beliefs. Another is the irrational fear that Homosexuals find them attractive, or can't relate to Homosexuality since its feeling deep love for another man, which they can't relate too.

Many times, it just comes down to being different. Its literally child hood bullies just growing into bigots because they refuse to just let people be. Its like hating black guys, or people of other religion, is simply because their different.

I guess it all comes down to religion after all. The bible states marriage as between a man and a woman, however, also states that you can marry your brother's widow, become a polygamist and that female slaves must put out to male slaves. Not once does God say that Gays are evil / bad / sinful but due to describing marriage as what it is, followers just take it as ONLY between men and women.

I have not read the Bible myself so can't give you much more then what I have heard or think, but its somewhere along the line of 'Not understanding it.' 'Religious reasons.' and 'Generally being different.' I don't care what people think of me, especially people of religion. If you want to follow a book thats a giant hypocrite, made all the way in the past and still follow it without reading, then by all means, humiliate selves, but its a different thing to read the bible and to understand the bible.
hmm well i think the bible is just one of the most misinterpreted books ever so i dont really think that the "anti-gay" christians have any ground to stay on , i dont think they are following the bible but try to find an excuse to bash on homosexuality
I'm in the US, so the main reason for us over here is religious reason. Yours is probably just mis-understanding of homosexuality.

Welp, got high school out of the way, just in time for community college, which is more or less high school you have to pay through the nose for. Whoop de fucking doo!

Oh, and my artistic abilities have improved significantly, and I've started a comic project I actually want to spend a lot of time on, so that's something.

congratulations, that's quite inspiring :)

As for me, I got a job at a casino, so I've finally got some decent money coming in (for a student, anyway). On the love-side of things: I managed to get some more courage together and actually start asking girls out. Hasn't actually worked out so far, but I'm optimistic ^^
