EDIT: Hahaha, I really did forget to finish the post, sorry about that.

Anywho, what's your biggest 'You douchebag' moment? Be it from today, like my 'The Game' moment, for those of us who play it, seriously or not. Or from a year ago, five days ago, your previous life, any time-frame you can think of.

So I was randomly surfing around the net about fifteen minutes ago, and I ended up on YouTube. Having nothing better to do at that time, I began flitting my way through the amvs in my recommended videos, coming upon one entitled Bleach AMV: Disturbed - The Game.

It took me a while to realize this, as I was more interested in listening to the song than I was reading the title, but I lost The Game. I promptly looked up the rules of The Game, and realized that I'm obligated to tell at LEAST one person of my loss... I'm also the only one home, and it's too bloody hot outside to bother wandering around looking for someone.

I therefore am coming here to let those of you who read this know that if you haven't lost the game yet, you're either VERY good at consciously avoiding conscious thought, or you've got no idea what the purpose of this little post is.

That's my douchebag moment for the day, what's yours?

The Game is stupid. The only thing stupider is actually caring about it or flipping out when you lose.

It's just a silly internet game that you have no stakes in whatsoever, with no real prospect aside making other people mad about losing said silly game. Why play it at all?

Well now I'm confused about this thread. You trick people, like a spider, into reading your post so we all lose The Game. Well I have news for you: The Game doesn't exist.

My reaction in a nutshell.
In the words of a great man: You, Sir, are a douchebag. That's right, a douchebag.

This post contributes nothing to anything. Good day all.

The game is silly. I win the game by not playing anyway, and before you say that's not possible, I do it anyway. So nah.

Because it's a hilarious little psychological trick. C'mon, lighten up, it's just a bit of harmless fun.

Also, I think the discussion value is "what downright mean things have you done today?"

I have not really done any mean things today. I'll inform you of the next time I'm a b******.

Believe it or not, people get bored, I'm one of them.

Besides, most of my reasoning for posting HERE of all places, is to see the reactions of a primarily intelligent crowd. YouTube is... less than what I'm looking for.

A game that you will lose the instant you're informed of it. Best not to ask.

You lost the game? WHAHAHAHAHAHA!

Sorry. It's just that I'm the only person I know of who can WIN the game. See, I don't care if I lose, and derive enjoyment whenever someone loses. Meaning I win whenever someone else loses. :p So thanks for the win.

Also, this is on topic:

....DAMMIT! NINJA'D!

Did the OP think we'd throw our arms in the air and curse about losing the game or something?, because I don't think it worked.

Getting cross at "losing the game" is a meme in itself.... I used to play the game back in the 90's, back when the internet was just porn and Star Trek.

Its basically a game whereby you win by not thinking about the game, so the minute someone mentions The Game, you lose, so you can't win it, because the thought of winning makes you lose. It irritates competitive people but the reaction to losing the game has become a meme.

Dropping a grade in AS computing because all the students were too busy playing The Game?

Worth it!

You cannot win the game. You lose by thinking about it. You merely play by not thinking about it.

Basically this.

Take whatever stance you will on The Game but it's interesting to see, not only the reactions of those involved, but the myriad ways that people tell others that they've lost the game.

At least, that's my thought on the subject.

"The Game" stopped being even mildly amusing for me about two years ago.

I haven't heard it in quite some time now.

Thanks for ruining that.

It's one of the few memes I think should die and never be resurrected.
