Theories for the plot of MGS Rising.

So we all know that Metal Gear Solid Rising will center around Raiden, but so far, we have no idea of the plot. So what do you think the plot will be. It can be either what you want it to be about or what you think it will be about.



I personally think that it will either take place during the time between MGS2 and 4 or will be a whole new adventure for him, which is what I really want it to be.

Maybe the story of how he became the way he is in MGS4?
And I do hope snake makes an appearance in the game, because it ain't Metal Gear w/o snake!

and thats a good point, although im not as fond of Raiden as i am of Snake, im interested to know how he got the way he was in MGS4

i think it will be something incomprehensible to follow without a guide and several playthroughs, as with all MGS games and overly detailed story lines

Raiden defeats the whole Metal Gear army and Big Boss, then wakes up and discovers he is actually Snake (retired, now a bartender and Assassin) and he is in the Animus, being held captive by the Templars in the year 2012.

He kinda looks like a cyborg or something with that metal jaw (at least I think that's what it looks like) so my guess would be it takes place after all the games in the series so far.

He had the jaw thing in MGS4. The things that are different now are that his armor is a little different and his eye color is different, so I'm guessing it takes place after MGS4

Never thought about this until now... The first thing that pops into my head is that after MGS2, Raiden says he'll start a new life after finding out all his memories were lies. So it's probably something to do with how he chooses to go ahead with his second chance at life.

DISCLAIMER: I've never played MGS4, so if the above has been explained, then I have no clue!

Why haven't there ever been any games about people who just want to kill or smash things?

It will probably be about when he got the transplants and went to rescue Sunny. They pointed that out several times in MGS4 so it is likely that they will center the game around that.

I think that'd be more awesome than playing Raiden again, but maybe I'm just being too pessimistic from MGS2.

Hopefully they'll do it right this time...BUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUT "Lightning Bolt Action" has me worried.

I think the protagonist (wearing a special suit) will find himself in a secret base which has been taken over by some unimpressed group, he'll have to fight a squad of super soldiers all with unique abilities, then come across the leader who's related to him in some genetically iffy way, and will at some point shoot a rocket at a giant robot.

There will also be voices in his ear that only he can hear and during gunfights they will call him (the enemies will be polite enough to wait until he's finished his conversation) to tell him something that won't become important for a few more hours.

Not sure what I'm basing this off, just kinda throwing it out there.
