Aint the name "G-Man" just the name that were on the files of HL1? If I remenber correctly not once you hear in game "G-Man"...

And to G-Man being Gordon from the future...Does it actually make any sence? Why would Gordon with his awesome time machine give the crystal to Black Mesa so it would open a portal to an alien world that would lead into Earth slavery/torture/and other crap?

Maybe. It's possible that not even the people at Valve know yet.
This is the one I want to see, Valve is just stalking on us until we come up with the best idea!

G-Man is probably Gordon Freeman.

I more curious what happened between HL2 ep 1 and HL2 ep 2 and why the fuck can't my computer play HL2 ep 2 but can play ep 1 just dandy?

Uurrr...Source engine got a overhaul? I can play all Half Lifes(1,2 and eps) just fine.

Then again thats odd...There arent many changes graphics wise from ep1 to ep2..hmmm

That's what bothers me, there seems to be no real difference but even on the lowest resolution my computer still cant handle the graphics.

I think that he doesn't exist and that the whole half life series is the result of a really bad acid trip. I bet Freeman is just tripping balls in an alley somewhere.

My theory, hes a multi-dimensional being, kind of like an ancient from Stargate. He has powers but is limited to where and when he can implement them, either physically or "legally". He requires proxies, Gordon and Adrian. Probably is doing the same thing on completely different planets.

He is manipulating alien empires on a cosmic scale, knocking them off one by one. He ensured the destruction of the Xen, something bad with Race-X (who aren't exactly cannon, Opposing fronts) and hes damaged the combine significantly.

Whats hes reasons or goals are aren't clear. Galactic peace? A bigger more powerful empire worse then the Xen or Combine? Kicks?

No ranting at my post. I'm a HUGE valve fanboy. its just the logical answer to any 'who is' question. I reckon he is an inter dimensional being, who has less power on this plain of existence as he would like and is thus forced to use people like freeman

This would actually be cool if when Gordon came to in his alley, The G-Man helped him up, then just walked away into the dark alley.

Ok, Gordon Freeman and Gman are both androids, ladies and gentleman. Not space agents, government agents or God agents. They are artificial beings, created on earth (Aperture Science Laboratories). That's why they are similar to each other. There's nothing told about Gordon's past, he is an ordinary scientist but in the same time efficient killing machine. Everybody around (Breen, Gman) tells you about your employers, you have feeling they know something about you, that you don't know. You not grow old (beetween HL1 and HL2). Gman can immobilise you, because you're programmed the way THEY want and maybe you will be activated when the time comes(Bioshock anyone?). The thing i don't know is, if Gordon Freeman (as the peak of technology) was created to defend humanity from Combine because THEY knew Combine's coming or he was created for not so noble, darker purposes, or maybe both. Probably Black Mesa was just a final test for Gordon. Now add yourself couple Gman's hi-tech technologies from Aperture Science Laboratories: portal techonology and time control and you have pretty much all your questions answered. NOW. Who are THEY, those employers, sientists from Aperture Science Laboratories? Well, that will be probably answered in Episode 3, and will be most interesting part of HL series imho. Who knows, maybe even the head of this organization, government, whatever, is the man who borrow his face to Gman or Gordon) (remember Alien's Bishop?).
Let down by the fact that one is teleported out at the end of HL and then back onto the train for HL2

One thing everyone has got to understand here and now is that his name isn't realy the g-man,this name was given to him by fan boys because he is like a goverment agent.

The other is that he is put in half lifes storyline to be the motivation of Gordon freeman.

As we all know Gordon is mute and that is simply because he can't speak or think for himself, instead he is following that voice inside of his head known as your g-man.

If anything this man Gordon follows is noneother than his father who has been dead for several years and counting.

It is quite clear that something is controling Gordons motivation, pehaps an evil alien force from an unknown location who thinks humanity is doomed by their own stupidity.
