I think we just have to trust in ValvE to do it properly.


On another note, Gman spared Alyx from certain death in Black Mesa. Why did he do this?
-So that Eli owed him a favour?
-He knew the Gordon would need her help?

If true, Gman has incredible foresight. This may indicate that he doesn't exist within the normal boundaries of time as we know them.
Might also explain why he says, at the end of HL2, "It seems like you only just arrived". Time could be basically meaningless to him, since he keeps freezing it whenever it suits him.

Because if GMan (Gabe Newell) does this then he keeps the plot going and us buying making him more money!!
