Halo reach is practically Halo 3 again... i dont have a clue about dead space but im sure its not all that, being a single player game and all... Fallout New Vegas is basically Fallout 3 again... and ive never played a gears of war... its hardly amasing...

also, every single game on that list is a sequel. there hasnt been a new franchise since borderlands came out... :|

how is any of this amasing? youve already played these games, now theyre just selling it to you again with an added spaceship part, or better graphics or some shit like that...

Kirby Epic Yarn, Donkey Kong Country Returns, and Epic Mickey are all coming out before Christmas, and I've got Metroid Other M pre-ordered.

I've got no beef with Fallout, so once I finally beat my copy of Fallout 3 I might pick up New Vegas after a price drop. Portal 2 will be awesome of course, but that's not coming out 'til February.

I'm really surprised no one mentioned Other M. It's my most anticipated title of the year.

...I don't have a big business degree or anything, but even I can tell that isn't very smart business strategy. Let's see what's coming out within weeks, maybe even days of eachother:

Now I know they're all trying to get released before the Christmas season, but most people will only be getting one of these games... since they're like $65 each. And 90% of the people will either be getting Halo, CoD, or GoW. Games like Fallout and Brink won't really be affected since they're not Xbox exclusives, but games like Fable will never really be able to compete with those games.

So I'm asking, wtf?

And Epic Mickey is where?

None of thses game interst me in the slightest. Fallout new Vegas is shockingly lacking in new ideas, content or even a graphical kick. It's just a big expensive DLC pack.

Everything except Brink is a sequel to games that either look like mass market compromise(Dead Space 2 is becoming almost pure 'action') or alrady have been flogged to death (CoD, Halo, etc)

While I agree wholeheartedly on your statement about COD, and Halo, I must agree to disagree with your reference to Dead Space 2. I think that this game could be the second coming, a spiritual Assassin'S Creed 2 if you will. A game that will fix the flaws of the first game, and add in enough quality, variety and imagination to make the game a strong contender for game of the year 2011. However, I'm also very interested in Brink.
