I... ugh... ok, on a good note I've scoped out ones I do like and will probably end up using.
Tsutarja and his forms. (Grass)
Purotooga and his Sea-Turtle Blastoise evolved form, Abagoora. (Water/Rock)
Aaken and his parrot of stone evolution Aakeosu. (Rock/Flying)
Bachuru and his evolved Spider form, Dentures Denchura. (Bug/Electric)
Hitomoshi, the candel, and his lantern based evolved forms. (Ghost/Fire)
I'm noticing a less... natural approach to these designs as opposed to earlier Pokemon. While the past generations were closer to natural creatures, these are creatures you'd more likely see in a book on Japanese cultures. More like demons and spirits then naturally occurring creatures.
This is just in design of course, I realize in terms of abilities all Pokemon are like demons; This case, however, these designs are less what you'd expect to see in nature and more what you'd expect a artist rendition of a dream involving said creature.
I'm not too excited over the designs; though as I said, there's enough for me to make a solid team out of them until I unlock the classics.
Also, why does that mushroom have a pokeball pattern on it? Did humans copy nature or is this mushroom just breaking reality. Or is this a Jesus Toast thing?
