They look more japanese if that makes any sense, but again they just don't look as cool as the first 300 (up to gold n'silver). While some of them look alright, most of them look silly or are just really lame.

That said, I won't be getting anymore pokemon games. I already have about 10 of them and they don't do anything for me since they over use all the same elements over and over.
What other elements could they add? their is no more =S unless you count plasma but that is the name of the evil gang of this region...Team Plasma
Sorry if that wasn't clear. I mean how it always turns out the same when you start of with one pokemon (fire, water & grass), catching lesser pokemon for little support, finding the same items again (same HMs) and using the same old boring moves with the same old boring animations. It's so boring, they need to add new elements to the game play.

Ok, my reading is now considerably bad.

The animations in this game have changed, completely new =D their are brand new moves to use, and it will always be Fire Water Grass, because those are the easiest type to use. Nintendo may change it maybe to something like Rock, Fighting, and Flying? but for now that is a really small complaint.

Gotta catch em all ... How many balls do you think I have? And where am I meant to keep them all?

Am I the only one thinking, there all a bit samey? There are a few that you think "that looks almost exactly like ..." 519-521 looks exactly like Pidgey - Pidgeot or Starly - Staraptor or Taillow - Swellow OR Spearow - Fearow.

How about 527-528 looking like zoobat and golbat? 529 - 530 sandshrew and sandslash? 599 - 601 looking like magnamite and Magneton?

Theres loads more but I think they have well untruly ran out of ideas and are just redoing 90% of them.

By the way, when the bloody hell is ash going to go back to the first region and you know, catch them all? He caught about 30 (if that) of them then buggered off to a new place. Hold the phone Jimmy, how about getting the first ones first then moving on.

Where did Brock and Misty go?

Its been many years but I got back in pokemon recently, even though I still think really its a huge gimmick like all nintendo stuff and they haven't changed the game much at all since red and blue i'm looking forward to playing the new one.

it stuns me that there are adults who play pokemon.
thats the thing when your 15 you suddenly realise how uncool pokemon is and you suddenly hate it then when you grow older and more mature you'll probably get back into it. you probably have to be 20+ to realise pookemon is less childish than halo or gears of war :)

They're definitely running low on ideas. Half of these look just like previously made pokemon, almost another half look just like the other ones being released, and maybe 5 or 6 look new.

Seriously, they will need new bat's, they will need new fighting types, and Bug types, just be great full they look completely different!
But they don't look completely different.

I got back into it 2 years ago (I'm 18 now) and tbh, i think it's better when that happens, if you live with the originals all your life, you don't appreciate the others that are thought up, hence i love this new batch ;D

Back in my day we only needed 8 bits to identify our Pokemon. You young whippersnappers and your 10 bit Pokemons. We only two versions and we got along just fine and-zzzzzzzzzzzz.

The list of Pokemon is getting really huge now. I wonder how many will be made before the series runs out of steam.

I'm very surprised. I find myself liking a far higher percentage of the full roster than of what we knew before the game's release. And maybe it's just me, but I'm spying some heavy Green and Red influence here. Yeah, even some simple animal based designs get "unnecessary" details, but this feels like a wonderful marrying of Gen I and Gen IV. (For the record, to me Gen IV felt like an odd mash-up of Gen II and Gen III.)

Looking through, I'm recognizing very few Pokémon which could either evolve from or into an older Pokémon. Fresh new experience indeed!

I managed to beat the Elite 4 + Lance with just Feraligatr, Ampharos, Torterra, Charizard, Kengaskhan, and Pigeot :p My Feraligatr managed to beat Lance since it new Ice Fang and Dragon Claw :p
Wow, I bet I look stupid. My team was Typhlosion, Kingler, Pidgeot, Scyther, Skarmory, and Kadabra, none of which knew any Ice or Dragon type moves. I relied on Kingler's Guillotine to get thru Clair and Lance.

On Topic, I like how most of the new pokemon look. I was already contemplating buying the new games or not, but I probably will now.
