Basically, Obama is trying to make a light version of the system in Scandinavia. Our hospitals and such are paid for by the government, so if I need a costly heart surgery or cancer treatment or whatever I am guaranteed that treatment free. Due to the higher expenditure by the government does make our taxes higher, but it also makes sure that even those with low paying jobs, or those unemployed have access to proper healthcare.Wounded Melody said:
The so called problem is that the level of taxes is higher, but of course, it also means you don't need the health insurance to pay for hospital bills. Exactly how it turned up over in the US I'm not entirely sure, google can probably help you get that information.
